this is by far , the best cover of this song. Period.
The only other cover than i believe ties with this is , in my opinion, was chris hadfield singing it. The fact that he sung it in space, and got the seal of approval by david bowi, was beautiful.

I'll be honest, Mike was phenomenal, but I feel like Jeff absolutely nailed the harmonies, sound effects, and bass line. Nothing against ya Mike, but hats off to Jeff. Excellent cover, both of you!

Mike does the back vocal by singing the highest octave and Jeff sings the lead. It's exactly how David Bowie sings, simple as that.
Quentin Lovejoy the bassline was simplified most definitely but he needed to sing. That’s the only problem I guess

Do you know why Mike had a big smile on his face throughout this song? it was because he had Jeff sitting beside him with those incredible harmonies. This is an incredible performance by both these guys and still the best cover 14 years on in 2023.

yeah, Bowie was cutting multiple audio tracks and mixing them on separate channels to get this sound. But they reproduced it nicely

Our son SSG William Seth Ricketts, was KIA in Afghanistan 02/27/10. He was a big Bowie fan and this song was played at his funeral. The is one of the best acoustic covers I've heard. Although, being a bias Mom, the cover done by our other son, Ben is my favorite. Thanks for the memory, on today, 02/28/18, 8 years and one day...

Hey Mike and Jeff, this comment is from a very remote Island of India, in Bay of Bengal, called Andaman and Nicobar Islands (google it). My God what a performance.
