@@rjsmith2007 there's a handful of other reasons a washer will squeak. Like something stuck between the drum and tub, high water pressure, a bad ujoint if squeaking during agitation, bad bearings, etc.

or if it’s belt driven then check the belt ( looks like a belt from a car ) and check if it’s worn out or anything that looks like it’s not supposed to be then replace it

If your washer is squeaking it’s most likely an Idler pulley/ idler roller or drive belt, not your drain pump 🤣 Where do they find these guys at? It’s embarrassing. If it was a humming noise and your washer was draining slow or not at all then yeah🤦🏾‍♂️🤣

I replaced the hub on my maytag bravos washer, and when I put the plate back on, I screwed the bolt down too tight. It squeaked until I tried the wash cycle without the plate in to see if it still squeaked. It didn't. When I put it back in, I left it a little loose and now it doesn't squeak.
