I could honestly see Bungie being like “Hey, how do we Segway into going back to the dreadnaught?” Some random guy in bungo: “Throw the almighty at the city and have Rasputin deflect it to hit the dreadnaught” Everyone at bungo: “THATS A GREAT IDEA” Everyone who plays the game: “do.. do you know how impossible that is?” Bungo: “SPACE. MAGIC.”
No that's exactly how it feels though! How many times are we gonna shove those vex back from their dumbass portal? How many of oryx family members will I execute? What trick will the fallen be up to this week? We need some new enemies with a different playstyle. Honestly we're VERY overdue.
Were here just doing fucking bounties all day just so we can get 1 dusklight shard per day, meanwhile ana gets to backflip off a psion and throw a knife at it neck
I wanna go on a little raid with Anna and Zavala on hurtling supercraft, too. You know plenty of Gjallarhorny Guardians would love some more Anna time.
yup. even the quest is dumb. see few cutscenes, hear some talk and do a bit of bunker clearing with ana and zavala. After that they just throw a "fully upgrade [at least] two bunkers" without saying anything
@@HoneyDoll894 It's a stupid grind. I spent all week on it at the expense of light leveling. Got toasted in Trial by 1000+ sweaties because I was throwing orbs at bigger orbs all day in the EDZ instead of grinding Comp. Did you look at the Triumph Seals? Really short. Each season is getting stingier on the content.
If you time it right and do a little jump as you hit the floor at the bottom you can catapult yourself at high speed into the Rasputin thing in the next room and die...that's pretty awesome.
Opulence felt like the best “Season.” Currency, weapon farming, match made activity with depth and variation. The opulence formula was the best IMO. Shadow keep carried season 8.
I’ve seen other comments talking about multi-season villains, and I absolutely agree with that idea. I would much rather a villain be sending out their troops or something for different objectives season by season, and finally taking out the command at the end of the year, only to face another starting in the big September expansion. I totally agree that the Ghaul storyline should have been a year-long story, including this season and maybe last season, and a few others. Something like that feels more connected than these year 3 seasons so far.
Yelling kinda. We don’t see enough of her for me to count it, tho. I would say something like Ghaul, but he would send out multiple missions and strikes for his Red Legion to do over the year, (those being the seasons), ending with taking him out in either the fall expansion or the season before it. That’s what I would want for a multi-season villain, and if they can do that well with Savathun, then sick.
This totally should have been a thing. I’ve said for ages that Bungie dropped the ball by not spreading Ghaul and the red war campaign out over the first year, that the final boss mission with him should have been an end of year mission and the farm should have been the social space for the year. This would have made visiting the farm a more nostalgic experience for those of us playing from day one instead of only visiting once in recent memory to start the Outbreak quest. It would have felt more like the game world changing over time which is what Bungie is trying the achieve with this season format.
Me before season 10: I’m gonna take it easy next season and not be a lost sector goblin. Season 10: imma need you to farm bounties to progress fam. Me: >:I
Heres how to revitalize the endgame: 1. Make both dungeons, Pit of Heresy AND Shattered Throne pinnacles, so you can chose which you want the reward from 2. Bring back nightfall exclusive loot that is exclusive the Master and above nightfalls 3. Add leaderboards and scoring/speedruns to nightfalls and nightmare hunts 4. Do something similar to the April update where you make ornaments for the old raid gear, thus creating incentive to do the old raids again. Create static rolls for raid weapons 5. Bring an old raid back in weekly rotation for a pinnacle reward. (example: Garden is the main raid, but have Crown of Sorrows be the weekly raid that gets you a pinnacle reward too) 6. Port in adept weapons and the 2nd set of Trials armor and weapons to make the content worth replaying and trying for
Spurr but this will never happen because content creating is “hard” saddest fucking excuse in existence from a game company. They could do all of that and more if they WANTED to. Key word there. They don’t!
A multi-season campaign fighting a specific villain would be a ton of fun. Right now each season is the "Problem of the week" sorta deal. Not specifically bad and it seems to be putting Destiny's storytelling almost to that of a vaguely serialized TV show, each week some new villain arrives and we take them down but at the end everything goes "back to normal" for a little bit before the next problem arrives.
It's like how old long running Cartoon shows used to work. Every episode was problem of the week and there tiny bits of story here and there in some episodes, beginning of season and end of season had the most story development and then things would go back to their old ways.
@@outlawyer1992 Unfortunately, knowledge of her existence was relegated to a lore post on bungie.net, something that the majority of players will never see. Plus, the unnamed psion sister was never introduced to the season, so we are still missing a central antagonist to rally against.
@@thomasw7908 I agree, the way those characters were presented until now isn't compelling at all, even something like a short story mission where we meet them face to face or even only a cutscene would go a long way. The last sister is not unnamed, her name is Amtec.
WAIT I'VE FIGURED IT OUT DESTINY 2 IS A VIDEO GAME FORMAT OF POWER RANGERS WE'RE FINALLY GETTING THE FILLER WE'VE NEEDED FOR YEARS WERE'S THE JUICE BAR?!
I feel as though these past two seasons, had just been lost add ons on what we should have gotten in the first two DLCs. But right now this feels like one of those boring filler sequels in movies that didn’t need them to begin with.
They should add something beyond exotic for the new nightfall. Like red gear that CAN go above 65+ and have inherently strong perks. Like an exotic weapon that is built for high level content.
Exactly everyone has just been fooled by bungie giving them more money. Dude this is exactly how destiny 2 should of started and added on even way more in paid expansion. Hopefully destiny 3 isn't a disappointment
@@tomoyatoko7262 I think with destiny 2 bungie is at their limit with the game, not bc of the work load, but bc the game is barely "functioning" anymore and is already on of the biggest games in file size. A destiny 3 is highly likely with finally a game that is 100% done by them not 90% activision and put new content into the fresh game
I actually appreciate the snarky (and ethereal, echo-y) manner in how some of the commentary in this video is delivered: "OH MY GOD! RANDOMS DON'T KNOW HOW TO DO THE CORRUPTED STRIKE!" as well as addressing the possible rebuttal from those who are against weapon retiring. Please do this more often. It adds a little spice to these level-headed and well-put together videos that are either instructional or opinionated.
Im personally disappointed on everything this season especially the constant bounty farm to make any progress or get the chance for bits from old content. Yeah it just started but damn, already disliked this season in the first few days doesnt look good. Could write more but watching your video is enough.
Vitamin Me Im sadly tired with Destiny 2. They had their last chance with shadowkeep. Shadowkeep was pretty fun so i decided that i would play the next seasons to see if Bungie could keep the fun going. But sadly no they haven’t. And they have lost their lost last chance. Im sticking with other games from now. Even if Destiny 2 gets rly good again i most likely will not play anyway. I am hyped for dying light 2 and I know that it will be amazing
IMO I'm somewhat a new light, only starting playing a month ago and I have a decent chunk of the game completed already and it's gotten kinda boring, this season especially. It's nice to complete a bounty but when they're so easy and meaningless it becomes an annoyance, but also when they're so static but long that's annoying af, because getting 1 million shotguns kills and HC kills and "insert gun type" isn't the most "fun and interactive" experiences out there
My predictions for the story. Rasputin does Rasputin things and blows up the Almighty. Almighty implodes instead creating a rift, Savathûn sticks her head out to of said rift to say hello. Something something darkness and pyramid ship
Funny thing is story was during the red legion war they suggested blowing it up and were told if they blew up the Almighty it would take half the universe with it.
@@glezard212 i thought that if they blew up the Almighty while still fucking up the sun, then it would take half the solar system with it. But i guess now that Almighty is an empty husk there will be no problem. Story is shit after shadowkeep though
@@sourakotsos your not wrong there bungie had a good storyline going during season of the drifter and pre shadowkeep. Afterwards nooooooo. This new storyline fucks with pre destiny 2
I couldn't agree more. If you're watching any of the D2 videos on UA-cam, you know how to do most of the events, strikes, public events, etc in the game. However, think of the hundreds of thousands of people not watching these videos that you just keep coming across in match made activities.
I started like a month ago, but like I don't see what's not to get, if people don't understand to clear the glowing square I can understand that, but the fact that they struggle to kill anything, or no what the giant fucking indicators are for is annoying, just pick it up, you see you have to throw it and theres one big bright obvious fucking target
I wonder if bungie will do something with siva? There was the outbreak perfected quest, ornaments, ship and ghost effects, and I think a ship. Bungie still remembers siva but putting it in the story might be a bit tricky but I think there’s lore referencing a siva post on Nessus somewhere who knows I just miss my siva armour and weapons especially scout rifle
We know that siva is both sentient and can also replicate from siva gear, such as the Outbreak Perfected. In its lore tab, it was trying to create new siva nodes, since its owner(you) was absent from keeping tabs on it for a while until you recover it again, after which it settled down. Unfortunately, I kinda doubt that they'll play on the siva story again, since the replication chamber that produced it in the first place was destroyed for good in Rise of Iron, and all the fallen that integrated it into themselves were wiped out too. It only exists in surviving gear and in small clusters now.
As someone whose been around since the D1 Beta, you’ve been my go to UA-camr for all things Destiny. I agree with everything that this season is just really grinding and more of a Season of Bounties then to be worthy. Thank you for your insight always! Also bring back, “Rare Blue Quality Sparrows”
"bungie came out with the message that they gonna restore some stat trackers" the dude who said that they're intentionally pushing the community, trying to find the breaking points, backing off and then starting over again, is 100% right.
Idea: the almighty crashes into mercury and breaks the infinite Forrest, unleashing simulation mutant enemies, like cross-beed hive/cabal. Or MOTH PEOPLE
Sike Dude actually moth people was an actual thing that was going to happen, if you look at really old destiny concept art there is literally moth people.
What I’m really waiting for is for Bungie to say, “hey, here’s a counter for Warmind bits. Donate as a community to fill the counter, and you stop the Cabal ship from hitting. Fail to donate enough and the ship hits, destroying the tower and your entire vault - but with the caveat of doubling your vault space in a new tower.”
"Bungie can't just turn around with our feedback so quickly. It will be a few seasons before we see the results" It feels like I've been hearing this for the last 5 years. 😂
25:26 I had the video on in the background and at this moment i was stopped in my tracks and was cryting tears of laughter!!!!! It was so random and I love it.
It's not so much that those players dont have the skill, but that they're team events and there are lots of solo players. Sure, you can lfg, but that's frustrating when you're facing serious, practiced teams. Being a UA-camr, you have no issues finding teams and obtaining the high level loot, but not everyone is you.
Preach, brother. I would LOVE more solo content that is very difficult, right now the only difficult solo content is solo dungeons, which are meant for multiple players.
I'm not a UA-camr, and I've used lfg for years and done really well. Sure, you won't be as coordinated as groups of people who play together constantly, but that's kinda the point. It's supposed to reward practice, group coordination, and skill. So imo the best of the best gear should only be acquirable by getting good and putting in the work. That goes for solo players too. Make shit harder. Have special weapons and armor available for soloing stuff like dungeons or nightfalls. That way hardcore solos can be rewarded for their skills, and the only people who can't get the best gear are the people without the time or skill to do so.
Shadowkeep so far 1. Eris Morn! The Darkness ship! Past enemies coming back! 2. New raid! Ancient vex area! Lore! 3. SAINT-14! Osiris! Hope! 4. Cabal and grinding...
Trials probably went through a few iterations before they realised that it would be best to just have the old trials, as they knew it would keep us happy.
Ok, so what you are saying only supports the idea of them lacking any and all creativity if they can't even make decent improvements to something that was considered one of the best activities in D1.
My impression of the season 10 but also the new "seasonal" model overall: 20 minute mission stretched like rubber so hard and so mercilessly that you see all the holes, rips and tears in it, but at the comment about them you [or rather Bungo] just stick your fingers in your ears screaming LALALALALALA I CAN'T HEAR YOU. ... the depressing thing about it, is that it's working for them.
@ArcticFrost a lot of the player base who currently plays are from foraaken and new light without having ever touched d1 or year one. For a lot of is this is new content and not "lazy." We get updated usable versions of old stuff? Neat! Have you ever played a trading card game? Or other mmos/looters? Stuff gets re-released. Stuff previously either old and bad or so scarce it's inaccessible suddenly gets updated circulated back in to the game. This is good design.
ArcticFrost they should cater to both dude, calm yer tits. I played D1 a shit ton, I played D2 year 1 & 2 and just got. Ack into it this week, so old content is cool as well as seeing actual new content, balance is always required in these things
tomothelad :D yea I’ve been playing since launch and I’ve given up halfway into last season. I was thinking about getting this season but now I’m not so sure
Yeah, I just don't feel like it's worth it, literally every gun you can get this season is bad, maybe I'll grind the season pass to get good looking armor but that's it
Good lol, for some reason the small subsection of the player population who play 12 hours a day are for some reason being the ones listened too, I mean look at the shitshow trials is lol. Hardcore players ruin this game, ESPECIALLY in PvP
@@spencerfleming5606 Honestly a few weeks in to this season I retract that statement. S10 is just an all around shit show at this point. There's no way that they had a clear vision for this season, it's literally nothing but an abysmal bounty grindfest. And how they managed to make trials worse than it was y1 is a whole shame. As a longtime veteran of this franchise I'm really disappointed.
People asking for a harder event while my servers regularly have randoms using the balls on adds (that aren't even on the plate we're supposed to be defending).
I've been to the Winding Cove six times in the last 2 hours and nobody has been anywhere in sight. I've seen it active maybe half a dozen times and had it complete only three times...it's gonna be a looong season unless there's more to come they haven't let on about.
@Qwerty Bastard Light level advantage in PVP is a gimmick mechanic to make it seem more difficult, when in reality it's just annoying. Even a casual player should be able to go into Trials, grind out wins and get flawless. Clearly, if a fireteam is capable of winning the game by, you know, outplaying the other team, then they deserve the rewards. Throwing in light level advantage is a cheap way to make it more difficult. It sucks. It's outdated. It should be based purely on skill.
@Qwerty Bastard You don't know how to read, or understand anything. I'm not saying to make it easy for everyone, I'm saying to give everyone a fair chance regardless of how much time they put into it. They should make Trials more difficult by modifying damage, sandbox and other in-game tweaks such that it offers a more cutthroat experience than other PVP stuff. If a casual player is still able to play PVP well enough to win seven games in a row without power level, then clearly that casual player is skilled enough to deserve the best rewards. Throwing in power level just tells a high-skilled casual player to go f*** themselves, save for those SUPER high-skilled players who stomp people regardless of power level, but that's rare since that level of skill would necessarily translate to a high power level and more playtime. Not to mention that a large portion of the playerbase that reaches the "endgame" may not be on-level with grinders since they might prefer to only do certain activities in-game that don't necessarily level you up fast, but which demand skill nonetheless. It is a cheap gimmick. Iron Banner is an exception because that's the whole point of it, that's all it has going for it. Trials is fundamentally a very fun but very fast/difficult PVP activity which gives awesome loot. In D1, the power level cap was low and the overwhelming majority of players were on-level enough such that the power level being enabled didn't matter. But the current state of D2 is: grind boring and repetitive activities over and over again with the same template as every previous season. Why in the hell would somebody who enjoys the game and is good at it but hates doing the AWFUL and not-fun grind do it just to play a PVP mode? Power level PVP isn't an incentive: it's a deterrent. It's stupid. THAT BEING SAID: if the damage and defense stats between different power levels were a little extreme, then maybe the power level differences could still reward more "dedicated" players while maintaining the incentive to play Trials regardless of your lower level.
I am fine with them largely removing snipers from the pve lootpool. They don't feel good in PvE. Clicking on guardian heads? Feels great. Rewarding. Makes you feel like a god. Clicking on a mobs head with a sniper? Boring. A lot happens that makes you miss shots. Most snipers just dont do enough damage solo to feel good. Removing outlaw from Izanagi's Burden took away the only sniper for most general pve content that even feels great. A lot of the time a shotgun or a sword feels better to use. I would rather have bosses that I can get in their face and brawl with them with shotguns and swords than boss number 8 million that I can just left click their head during a lengthy vulnerability phase.
As you get better and better at making videos and you get more comfortable with being yourself in the videos, you are actually REALLY funny. I enjoy heavily laced sarcasm humor
Here is my thoughts about this season/upcoming content This season is utterly boring. And it's probably going to stay that way for the next 90 days unless they add something that dramatically changes the content for all (almost all) players. I will happily pay 2 to 3 times more for actually good content in the future, I know the game making progress is a lot more consuming than writing ideas on UA-cam. But something needs to change before the player base is roughly the amount of new things(that the a lot of people like) in this season.(next to nothing)
Io and Titan both need some major love. I feel that both locations are too small compared to Nessus, and the EDZ. Some slight expansion for the Tangled Shore and Dreaming City could do some slight expansion too.
@@frankkuncio2065 Considering I crash if I am on Titan for to long (no other place//event/activity crashes my pc, only the areas by the sea) I would greatly appreciate titan didn't get love unless its inside that facility savathun's song takes place in.
THAYS the problem with destiny, they keep adding and adding not expanding. Remember how good strikes where when they got specific loot. Everyone was doing strikes, now everything becomes redundant after a few months to a year. They need to stop adding these modes and start expanding on the core game because its all getting stale now
the fact during some of this footage you're listening to BTBAM's The Proverbial Bellow (literal eargasm) makes me happier than the fact pretty much every point you touched on is identical to my own feelings.
6:55 Had to stop vid and acknowledge something: you are right. Match made activities can't get any more complex because of blueberries. Was doing the seraph tower pe and watched a blueberry grab the last orb to be thrown at the big magic ball only to be infinitely frustrated by them MELEEING EVERY ENEMY IN THE VICINITY. Ran behind him shooting and doing my best to grab his attention to either drop the ball so I could throw it or point them in the right direction. We lost so much time and just focused on spawning more orbs because of the blueberry. "RaIdS sHoUlD bE mAtChMaKiNg" Pff. Please.
Bungie's insistence on team based activities...in lots of areas of the game, not just raids etc is one of the game's major failings I think. For a long, long time I've been convinced the playing population would be significantly higher if it were not for large portions of the game gated behind fireteam only events...yes there would be issues with raids being match-made activities and obvious difficulties in random groups being successful at them etc...BUT, I've lost count of the times people have said stuff to me like...ah yea, I tried Destiny for a bit but you needed to be in a team for a lot of it so I stopped playing it. If I were Bungie, now that they're free to play and need to drive player engagement as much as possible in the hope of getting some of them to spend money, then the last thing I'd be doing would be to potentially prevent people playing in the first place, which is what they have done throughout the entirety of the game's lifespan. It's never really made much sense to me...but that's just my opinion. As for mad blueberries, there's too many factors that you can't know...how do you know the guy you mentioned wasn't a 9 year old having a whale of a time blowing shit up pretending to be Ironman or something?
First impressions: Sunsetting legendaries from Luke Smith. Me: Oh, ok. I have my favorites, but ok. I'll survive New Trailer for story of Season 10 comes out: Cabal are gonna KOBE a ship at the Tower Me: Shit, they're destroying our vaults again...
Here's my thoughts: - Bounties are really boring to complete, although I appreciate the choice of using PvE or PvP to complete them - Warmind bits seems a bit stingy, ESPECIALLY the Seraph Towers (Although I've heard the idea that it's on purpose to avoid making people farm a public event again basically) - The idea of bounties, Lost Sectors and a public event doesn't really seem to represent a purchase of the season to me, so I hope that there's way more they haven't shown. Did appreciate that Legendary Lost Sectors were tough on Day 1 (Since there's very little content in Destiny that is challenging) - Haven't played Trials yet, but most of the people I've talked to have enjoyed it well enough even if they weren't max power - Sad that flawless has no actual unique gameplay rewards, even if it would have just been ornaments for the guns or an intrinsic perk like Celerity (Honestly an intrinsic perk like Celerity would be really exciting) - Having Trials back though does make other PvP modes on the weekend feel more casual, which I've greatly enjoyed thus far - No Ritual weapons is big loss. I enjoyed the goal when playing Strikes/Crucible/Gambit during the season, and I didn't need game-bustingly good guns as rewards, I enjoyed unique things about them (Like Randy's Throwing Knife). As a sidenote, as someone who has almost all the pinnacle weapons, I wouldn't be opposed to them introducing those unique perks on other weapons, feel like it'd spice some things up although some might be TOO good if they're ported as is. - I'm 100% with Datto on the Enlightened title, even as someone that doesn't have it. Not requiring flawless completion is out of left field, doesn't make sense given all other past raid titles requiring it. I'm mad for everyone who had did flawless Garden to get the title and have that aspirational reward (The title if that's not clear) cheapened, especially given how Luke Smith pointed out how Destiny needed more aspirational content. - If having weaker perk pools is the tradeoff for interesting systems like Warmind Cells, then I don't mind. That seems to have a lot of depth, so I'm excited to try it out - I personally think the new emblem system is cool, but am not okay with the removal of all the old stats, so I like having the data preserved and brought back - Quest UI is great - As a sidenote, Eververse has gotten two MORE items with the red Hive theme on them, yet Scarlet Keep nightfall STILL has no Nightfall reward tied to it, which is incredibly stupid IMO (Pretty sure Broodhold also doesn't have a reward either)
Warmind bits are not stingy at all... takes you 45 minutes to run 3 characters worth of 4 daily bounties each netting you 600 bits not including any bits you earn if you play a crucible match and get some bits there or whatever.
I made a really fun build with the Warmind cells using the Felwinter’s Helm! Using the Tyrant’s Surge artifact mod with Stormcaller, Hammer of the Warmind artifact mod with the Seraph auto and shotgun equipped, Burning Cells mod, and the Global Reach mod. -Using the arc melee to trigger the helm’s perk and debuffing enemies while also spawning a cell, and the exploding everyone. Super fun!!
I hope Bungie listens to the casual playerbase more than videos like this in regards to Trials. This is a video game, we all have put time, effort and (for most) money. But 5% of people can spend all their time on this game, endgame content shouldn't be exclusive to these people, it shouldn't be tailored to them at all. You already have the advantage of more time invested for more practise and a refined loadout- this makes the endgame easier for you to deal with, that should be your reward for time invested but everybody should have access to the trials loot if they are capable of winning 7/11 matches and the emblem/glow (shouldn't be temporary) is more than enough for a flawless run imo.
I'm perfectly okay with strong rewards for skilled players--what I'm NOT okay with is those rewards making every LFG beyond toxic. I'm just glad we've at least somewhat moved past that, but only because there's not really anything completely gamebreaking that's an LFG requirement at the moment.
Adept would be fine since it's a gun for a mode thst comes from thst mode. And it gets around things like if raid loot was only top tier within the raid
Here's a novel concept: if you want to play the end-game activities and get the best gear, then get good. End of story. This franchise should not cater to the casuals and take away desirable loot that is *difficult* to *earn* because people will cry about not being able to get it without it basically being given to them. D2 has become exactly that...a game designed around casuals wanting all the best gear, and to appease the "hardcore" players (or at least the few that still play this sad game) they make an arbitrary grind out of pointless quests and bounties.
@@ryujijitei Any time, chief. 👍🏼 You want a way to prevent toxicity in LFG groups? How about we rely on the people who have the largest influence in that area of the game, Bungo! Maybe, just maybe, they should utilize *matchmaking* as it was intended, so LFG isn't even a thing unless you WANT to go that route. Oh wait, Bunghole can't be asked to do something the players wanted for years..let's just throw more stuff in the Eververse!
19:57 If this is true I won't be surprised, this is how we got here in the first place, Bungie trying to make destiny casual and of course it didnt work out.
this season seems is just like last season , grind materials to upgrade the obelisk/bunkers and instead of sundial we have seraph public event ,i played the first week of last season and not going to play this season.
Hot take: We don't need Adept weapons from trials. Because there are already better ways to implement it. Make a curated roll for the trials weapons, and only have them drop from the Lighthouse, along with an ornament for the respective gun you just got. I mostly just want to get an ornament from places other than Tess, but I also really don't see the need to have a separate version of a gun when we already have curated rolls.
This is a good idea but the issue with curated rolls is that bungie will make half of the curated rolls terrible. I'd also like to see armor be exclusive to the lighthouse seeing as the only difference between trials armor and any other armor is your random stats roll and it's cosmetic design; it gives no competitive advantage so there's no reason for bad players to whine because they aren't good enough to get it
That is what actually made forsaken interesting for me a whole. Trying to find a way to end the curse was fun for me and seeing it play out. I gotta say it was a good feeling.
How to fix Trials: Make the armor into ornaments. Make adept weapons. Reorganize the loot pools so that we dont have 3 undesirable weapons one week and 3 very desirable weapons another week. No artifact power.
I literally haven't even touched the new Season Ive been playing Division 2 because the bounty system has become so archaic that its just too tiring to do this shit. I'm also betting that the reason there are no pinnacles for Trials is all the cheese and cheating that exists for it.
@@doyker To be fair to me they are about the same in terms of looter shooter. The new DLC made grinding more manageable than Destiny where you have to grind specific activities and rely on bounties to get certain guns. Whereas most of Division 2 is obtainable from the entire world.

yup. even the quest is dumb. see few cutscenes, hear some talk and do a bit of bunker clearing with ana and zavala. After that they just throw a "fully upgrade [at least] two bunkers" without saying anything
@@HoneyDoll894 It's a stupid grind. I spent all week on it at the expense of light leveling. Opulence felt like the best “Season.” Currency, weapon farming, match made activity with depth and variation. The opulence formula was the best IMO. Shadow keep carried season 8.
Yeah, it was everything I wanted.
Just going to throw this out there, isn't that sort of what's been happening with Savathun? We haven't heard much from her lately though afaik.
"multi-season Villain" boi im hype if bungie implement this
Yelling kinda.
Yelling kind of but tbh I hope this last psion is secretly working for or is connected to Savathuun. Make her sort of like a Thanos or Moriarty figure

Heres how to revitalize the endgame:
1. Make both dungeons, Pit of Heresy AND Shattered Throne pinnacles, so you can chose which you want the reward from
2. Bring back nightfall exclusive loot that is exclusive the Master and above nightfalls
3. Add leaderboards and scoring/speedruns to nightfalls and nightmare hunts
4. Do something similar to the April update where you make ornaments for the old raid gear, thus creating incentive to do the old raids again. Create static rolls for raid weapons
5. Bring an old raid back in weekly rotation for a pinnacle reward. (example: Garden is the main raid, but have Crown of Sorrows be the weekly raid that gets you a pinnacle reward too)
6. Port in adept weapons and the 2nd set of Trials armor and weapons to make the content worth replaying and trying for
Spurr but this will never happen because content creating is “hard” saddest fucking excuse in existence from a game company. They could do all of that and more if they WANTED to. Key word there. They don’t!

@@Ineedbout3fiddy EXACTLY
The antagonist this season is supposed to be the last of the 4 psion sisters from season 9, so you could say it's the same villain

It was so satisfying hearing Datto saying bungie is soft, I felt the exact same way lmao
@@_AniWatch red gear? Sounds like the division

I just dont understand how the revelry event felt more of a content drop than these seasons.
Vitamin Me unfortunately I agree...

Pure Outbreak perfected is already Siva related though
They never really got rid of Siva either they just locked it away in the cosmodrome

"Unless they bludgeon snipers to death..."
Datto no this is Bungie we're talking about don't give them ideas they'll do it.
I had the same thought though. He's proposed something like that before only for it to happen a couple patches later
As you get better and better at making videos and you get more comfortable with being yourself in the videos, you are actually REALLY funny. I enjoy heavily laced sarcasm humor
Here is my thoughts about this season/upcoming content
This season is utterly boring.
The echoing voice is a whole-ass mood and I LOVE IT. Please keep it :)
I want a taken-themed season. Give us more to do/expand io! I feel like that location needs love.
Io and Titan both need some major love. I feel that both locations are too small compared to Nessus, and the EDZ. Some slight expansion for the Tangled Shore and Dreaming City could do some slight expansion too.

THAYS the problem with destiny, they keep adding and adding not expanding. Remember how good strikes where when they got specific loot. Had to stop vid and acknowledge something: you are right.
"RaIdS sHoUlD bE mAtChMaKiNg"
Pff.

Me: Oh, ok. I have my favorites, but ok. I'll survive
New Trailer for story of Season 10 comes out: Cabal are gonna KOBE a ship at the Tower
Me: Shit, they're destroying our vaults again...
Here's my thoughts:
- Bounties are really boring to complete, although I appreciate the choice of using PvE or PvP to complete them
- Warmind bits seems a bit stingy, ESPECIALLY the Seraph Towers (Although I've heard the idea that it's on purpose to avoid making people farm a public event again basically)
- The idea of bounties, Lost Sectors and a public event doesn't really seem to represent a purchase of the season to me, so I hope that there's way more they haven't shown. Did appreciate that Legendary Lost Sectors were tough on Day 1 (Since there's very little content in Destiny that is challenging)
- Haven't played Trials yet, but most of the people I've talked to have enjoyed it well enough even if they weren't max power
- Sad that flawless has no actual unique gameplay rewards, even if it would have just been ornaments for the guns or an intrinsic perk like Celerity (Honestly an intrinsic perk like Celerity would be really exciting)
- Having Trials back though does make other PvP modes on the weekend feel more casual, which I've greatly enjoyed thus far
- No Ritual weapons is big loss.
That seems to have a lot of depth, so I'm excited to try it out
- I personally think the new emblem system is cool, but am not okay with the removal of all the old stats, so I like having the data preserved and brought back
- Quest UI is great
- As a sidenote, Eververse has gotten two MORE items with the red Hive theme on them, yet Scarlet Keep nightfall STILL has no Nightfall reward tied to it, which is incredibly stupid IMO (Pretty sure Broodhold also doesn't have a reward either)
Super fun!!
The Almighty is going to crash into us and destroy our weapons. Only exotics will survive. 🙂
You already have the advantage of more time invested for more practise and a refined loadout- this makes the endgame easier for you to deal with, that should be your reward for time invested but everybody should have access to the trials loot if they are capable of winning 7/11 matches and the emblem/glow (shouldn't be temporary) is more than enough for a flawless run imo.
the next season could be us cleaning up the season then the darkness arrives in the big season in september
Arry Dixon keep dreaming
Love the new editing additions to the vid, keep it up
”Cabal, again?!” -Asher Mir
Loving the vocal edits. Good stuff.
I'm perfectly okay with strong rewards for skilled players--what I'm NOT okay with is those rewards making every LFG beyond toxic. I'm just glad we've at least somewhat moved past that, but only because there's not really anything completely gamebreaking that's an LFG requirement at the moment.
The "toxicity" of LFG will always exist. People will always want to beat content quickly and efficiently with the most broken gear available.
@@chrisgironda1746 Thanks for reinforcing my point.
@@ryujijitei Any time, chief. 👍🏼
You want a way to prevent toxicity in LFG groups? How about we rely on the people who have the largest influence in that area of the game, Bungo! Maybe, just maybe, they should utilize *matchmaking* as it was intended, so LFG isn't even a thing unless you WANT to go that route. Oh wait, Bunghole can't be asked to do something the players wanted for years..let's just throw more stuff in the Eververse!
The rant on the enlightened title was therapeutic af, thanks Datto
19:57 If this is true I won't be surprised, this is how we got here in the first place, Bungie trying to make destiny casual and of course it didnt work out.
That merch plug was flawless
Suprise ending: After powering up Rasuptin's defenses, he turns on us and holds the last city hostage.
Henry Spencer I’m surprised Datto didn’t mention that. It seems SO obvious that he will betray us
Veoxius better yet unplug him
Gabriel Saldarriaga heard lore rumor he made a deal with the darkness
Edit: rumor I meant rumor
Next Season: Red Legion teams up with Uldren Sov.
this season seems is just like last season , grind materials to upgrade the obelisk/bunkers and instead of sundial we have seraph public event ,i played the first week of last season and not going to play this season.
I'd also like to see armor be exclusive to the lighthouse seeing as the only difference between trials armor and any other armor is your random stats roll and it's cosmetic design; it gives no competitive advantage so there's no reason for bad players to whine because they aren't good enough to get it
“Failure is unexpected”. Savathun on dreaming city: am I a joke to you?
The part that pisses me off the most is that you can see bounties on the app but you can't pick them up.
iRambL yep I’ve been doing the same managed to get the new exotic chest piece and trying to get the new mask as well.
Honestly same, i am so fucking tired of doing bounties, fuck off bungie
I do agree the bounty system isn't great but I find the Division to be the most boring looter game on the market
@@doyker To be fair to me they are about the same in terms of looter shooter. The new DLC made grinding more manageable than Destiny where you have to grind specific activities and rely on bounties to get certain guns. Whereas most of Division 2 is obtainable from the entire world.
What if it crashed into the Siva bunker and let it all out again and that would wrap up 2 plot threads
"Trials is mostly good"
Oh boy, that did NOT age well at ALL
Your merch plugs are actually funny, so I might have to buy some. dammit Datto. you got me.
