    I just failed my road test and it was very important to me to pass so I could get a job after I graduate high school. I cried the whole way home and I felt extremely demoralized and unmotivated after. I don't know what to do I have a horrible feeling in my stomach.

    Hi Rick. I've heard you mention "driving out of an emergency situation is faster than braking". Could you make a video on how to drive out of emergency situations. When to swerve without hitting other cars? Thanks

    The laws of physics and the rules of the road have not changed. It’s always been a minimum of at least 6 seconds of following distance. Recognition time and reaction time is roughly 2 seconds. 3 seconds following distance is a huge problem. That’s why there are so many recks.

    • @BDOKV
      @BDOKV 5 місяців тому

      Nowhere in the world is there a 6 second following distance. That is absurd. It is 2-3 seconds in ideal weather, maybe 4 seconds if the weather isn't the greatest.

    Why does this replay last only eleven minutes unlike most replays of live streams which last almost an hour?

    • @smartdrivetest
      @smartdrivetest  5 місяців тому +3

      Because no one watches the replay and YT is penalizing the channel. Thus, I'm going to put out the most relevant parts of the live stream going forward. All the best, Cheers Rick

    Question:
    What speed should I drive on Highway 401 (100 km/hr limit) if it is raining (soft/heavy)?
    I have my G test in two weeks in Toronto, Ontario.
    Thanks!

      Drive the posted speed limit on your test. If the weather is bad--torrential rain--than you can slow. When the weather is bad, just go with the flow of traffic. All the best, Cheers Rick

    Drivers ed does not teach you about semi trucks or how to drive with or around them. It’s a safety hazard, not to mention hazmat loads.
