I failed my first time due to not using proper signaling when doing parallel parking and 3 point turn. Its ok though, I got my second try tomorrow, hoping to get it! (It took 5 times to get my permit so hopefully I get it this time!)

@@lilsmallz1561 Suprsingly not much I took my test in a town and all I did was drive around a bit and changed lanes it was really easy but it might be different for you.
@@SkyThePegasus I think test measures depend on the test centre, city and instructors a lot. Some instructors are really strict and want that one reason so that they can fail you. And some are so easy that even if u make a mistake, they are okay with it and pass you. IMO more than passing the test, it should be important to become a safe driver. U don’t want to keep hitting other vehicles after u get your license. Cos that will be more trouble than failing your road test n appearing the next time with improved driving skills.

I failed twice because of my high anxiety. I finally passed missing nothing on the test because I was comfortable who I was with. If you failed and haven’t gotten your license yet, it’s okay. No rush take your time and if you fail you can always try again. Trust I was down in the dumps and I had a stressful year losing my dad, working, and taking care of my grandma. You guys got this!!!
I failed my road test today due to my anxiety hit a curb doing a right turn and that little thing cost me getting the license. got that as a lesson being anxious will get nobody no where and just relax cuz everything will be ok. I passed my test January, my hints: - Look at your mirrors every 5 seconds - It’s better to be slow than speed. You don’t have to go exactly your speed limit. Maybe 1-2 below. - Take your TIME. Don’t let other driver honk at you, it’s your test. Do not feel the need to rush. - practice!!

For those nervous about the test just remember that at the end of the day it is up to the instructor to pass/ fail you for whatever they want. I hit the curb while backing up when I took mine and still passed. Confidence is key!

Lol yes. Dads will point out every little mistake while your driving. My dad sometimes micromanages my driving and not let me make decisions and then get mad at me for not making decisions anymore. I’m still grateful for his teaching and dedication though ❤

Dad used to yell at us as kids for making too much noise cause it distracts him from driving Yet he sees nothing weird about the fact that yelling at the top of his lungs during, after and before I make a mistake can be a “ tad distracting” It’s ironic cause when studying about the test and preparing to drive one of things mentioned as things that lead to crashes is distractable passengers, and how if they ain’t willin’ to stay vigilant and not distract and listen to the driver they’re as dangerous as beer or a phone and should be out and/or completely away from the driver at all times Cut mfs like that out 😤
After 2 fails I finally got my license! It's pretty easy for the evaluator to fail you for simple mistakes so keep your head up if it happens. Failure doesn't necessarily mean you're a bad driver. Keep practicing and go at it again. You're bound to get someone who believes in you. But for me I took a step further by contacting a private license and professional dmv agent that helped me to write a provisional letter to bypass the test drive and i was given a provisional driver's license which will last for 12 months. I got a license now and it will serve for 1 year then I renew again. My little advice. * If you think are too nervous for the test drive then you can easily switch to a provisional driver's license which you won't need to test drive.

I'm gonna be 27 and still don't have my license because my family always keeps me inside the house. Luckily I applied for jobs to find my way out of this cage. They only taught me to drive i neighbourhoods and shame me for not getting a license like my younger cousin who's mom is less strict. I'm tired of it and am tired of my life being drained, I want to take action for my own life and am doing it slowly but believe soon I can at least get my license if I keep it up with studying and practicing but I don’t think I can cos I got a lotta work to do. Can you help?
no it isnt, a provisional license grant individuals more driving privileges and fewer restrictions than a permit allowing us to drive unsupervised but with certain conditions such as time restriction or limitation on the number of passengers.

I remember when I took my driver test about 6 years ago I failed the first time because I “ran a yellow light”. I was stopped at a red light behind a huge dump truck and couldn’t see the light (I was about 2 Cars back). The light turned green and we all went. Well the light turned yellow SO FAST when I was in the middle of making a left turn, and the lady was like “sir you just ran a red light”. I did not say anything but in my head I was thinking “did you want me to stop in the middle of the intersection??” Anyways this is all to say. Air on the side of caution during your test. Just be patient at lights. You may sit at a light through 2 cycles before you can go and that’s okay if it means you will pass the test.

I got yelled at for not going when the light turned green, as she finished her last word a firetruck passed me on my left..she failed me for going 2 miles over the speed limit..as u can guess I wasnt over.
thats the biggest issue of every driving test its how the law tells you how to drive but the not the safest or best way to drive becuase while yes caution is great an overabundance will almost 100% garentuee you will run into somebody who road rages

Worst mistake I made when learning was trying to mimic what other drivers are doing, especially at intersections. So many people don't adhere to what they've presumably been taught in order to have their licence. Always best to just follow the instructor and not take other people's actions as an example.
You are oh so right my friend. What you observed is called social driving. It’s the way people drive after they get their license. And to pass a driver’s test, you CAN’T drive like that. im never going to pass lol. i've literally driven in san francisco with my dad perfectly fine but somehow in my small little town, everything stresses me out with that exam/examiner. i hope i can pass one day but idk

It's a really simple idea but the idea of practicing near the testing center and driving those streets blew my mind and I haven't done it yet but I'm sure will be super helpful.

Be careful now. don't do it in the same day you're taking your test. I had a friend who practiced on the same day and was told to go home and refused the test.

Doing my drivers test honestly felt like a fever dream, I only remember doing hand signals and pointing at the hazard lights, but the actual drive...no memory. Like someone else was in control. I guess I was so nervous that my mind just erased it from my memory. Still passed tho so that’s nice

I passed my driving test on my second attempt, honestly it really does depend on the examiner and its at there discretion to pass or fail you. I am happy to have had my second attempt with the examiner I got. These videos also really helped.

You are right. I failed my test because the person made me feel tense right from the get go. Was an older fella, with a military attitude. Made me feel so uneasy. Do they teach instructors to rattle the people on their tests a bit... cause it felt that way. I get along well with everyone, I don't think it was fair how I was dealt with right out of the gate.
I agree with this 100%. My first time I failed because the instructor kept making small comments but my second time around I had such a kind guy who made me feel extremely relaxed and even allowed me to fix up my parallel parking to get it closer to the curb
@@cbrianie This made me feel a bit better. First time I failed I got a really rude guy, didn’t talk at all, didn’t say goodmorning back, just made me feel on edge the entire time. Made me mess up the parallel parking part and he just said your not getting a second chance.

i took my test today and passed with a 100. i was very nervous but something very true is it really can depend on your instructor. I had an appointment at the end of the day and i talked a little with them and they just wanted to go home. they chose the shortest route and didn’t care to mark any points off.

i just made sure to drive as if i was taking a test every time i practiced driving with my permit. my dad would rush me if i didn’t roll through stop signs (among other things) so i only drove with my mom. i had really bad anxiety about driving while i was learning so i got like 25 of my 50 hours just driving in parking lots and neighborhood streets so i could get comfortable and more confident just driving the car without having to worry too much about pedestrians, other drivers, traffic, etc. and every time i drove, i made sure to make full stops at stop signs, stay as close to the speed limit as possible, stop at yellow lights when i could, etc. so that when i was taking the test, i could just drive how i always did when practicing and didn’t have to change how i drove or worry about that at all. “practice as you perform” they say. and then even someone with as much anxiety around driving as me can pass the test first try
I just passed my road test. I have been watching many of this videos and practicing. Is always nerves but just trust yourself and make sure you practice a lot. I pretended I was driving with my instructor and always making t sure you really turn your head to check blind spots. I hit the curve a bit when parking but it wasn't bad. Just make sure you do all those maneuvers when parking very slow so if you hit the curve is not bad. Also make sure you stay center in the lane even when there is no markings draw one in your head. I passed my drivers test on the 3rd attempt. The first one was dumb and I feel like she failed me for no reason. She said turn right and I made a left. I made the left turn safely and obeyed every traffic rule. She could've just told me to make a U-turn and proceed with the test but she decided to fail me. i still hate her till this day. 2nd test I failed because I made a turn with one hand. I hate him also.

When I was 17 and driving with my instructor (still don't have my license 5 years later, sadly) he wasn't paying attention and went "oh turn left" while I was more than half way through the intersection (one of the ones were traffic the way I was going does not stop) and I said "it's too late, I'm more than half way through" and the slammed on the break on his side and made me turn. He 1) made me look like a bad driver to others, 2) could have caused an accident.

@@smartdrivetest I didnt celebrate. my dad who drove me there said this is my last chance to pass cuz he's not going to drive me there again. after i pass, everyone just said "you finally did it." I'm the only child who didnt pass on their first try so they thought something was wrong with me.
In Germany you cannot fail because of that, Because its normal that you maybe confuse left or right under that pressure or just have heard it wrong. If you still obey all the traffic laws its just fine. The ones testing will just make sure that this doesnt happen all the time and that you actually know where left and right is. But drivers license test in Germany also requires several dozen hours of driving school before you are allowed (first theory then driving) which cost you about 1200 dollar, so yeah.... XD

I passed my road test today first time! So thankful for your videos you have helped me tremendously. it was actually pretty easy I was expecting a state trooper with bulging muscles but it turn out being a sweet little old lady and I didn’t have to parallel park either😅

driver test tips Before you drive they will check: - drivers window - windshields - rear view mirrors - turn signals front nd back - brake lights - tires - foot brake - horn - emergency parking - windshield wipers - arm signals - defrosters - hazard lights or emergency flashers - headlights - passenger box - glove box - seat belts only can make 15 mistakes and 3 on the check up before u actually drive - over exaggerate everything ex. when switching lanes exaggerate your head movement making sure no cars are coming on the lane you’re switching to - stay calm and collective 🧘🏻♂️ - stay speed limit if you don’t know it it’s always 25 mph - 20 mph in a school zone 🚸 - ACT like u care - be extra aware of your surroundings!

I just passed my driving test yesterday at the Santa Monica Dmv here in southern california. It was in the middle of rush hour and we literally went around the block once and ended up back in the parking lot. The instructor told me i passed and said that we didn't need to do the backing up portion of the test because there won't be any parking at this time lol. EDIT: it was also my first time and my nerves were shot to hell.

I'm so frustrated I failed my first test today!! I was so nervous my instructor was so unfriendly and despite that I did a really good job I was convinced I was gonna pass and when we got back to the dmv she said I did good very minor adjustments but that I was going 36 in a 30mph zone automatic fail all I was doing was going with the flow of traffic ...anyway I want to be accountable im really gonna pay attention to my speed next time I'm gonna take a couple weeks break though because I'm mentally exhausted
Just took my test today and I passed. All I did was parallel park, went to a roundabout did a U-turn, stopped at some signs and crosswalks (on the DMV property). And that was it. Instructor was friendly and decent. Hit the curb two times during parallel parking, but readjusted. He said I did okay and I was fine with that. But I used these videos as reminders to prepare me. Thanks again!

It took me 3 times, 1st one was I forgot s turn signal(durh) the 2nd was because I didn't parallel park right. 3rd time though I just paralleled and drove in a circle around the building and passed no problems

Cheesy Flows Yeah, first check your car or if your using a friend’s car drive it for a couple of times so you are familiar with the locations of everything like the wipers, defrost etc. Be calm and pay attention this driving test is just like normal driving by yourself the only different is someone is there watching you so pay attention and stay calm. Practice lots of backing up and parking on the curb. Take you time don’t rush that is a must part of the test. You will do fine 👍

I did nearly perfect on my test, but at the very end of the test where he told me to go straight and pull in, I missed the very final stop sign because it was on the left instead of right side that I’m used to. This resulted in an automatic fail. I’m taking it again in 3 weeks so hopefully I don’t miss it again.

Got my driver's license years ago at this point. Had to take my test twice and honestly a lot of it unfortunately comes down to the instructor you get. First guy answered a personal phone call during my test and gave me points for not pulling out right after he made me pull over to the side of the road to take his call. Gave me points for a whole bunch of other stupid things and I failed. All around a miserable asshole. Second guy was very polite and forgiving. Made some minor errors but he could see that I was clearly competent enough to drive on my own without posing a risk to the lives of others or myself. That was one of the happiest days of my life whereas my first time was one of the worst days of my life. It's an awful feeling knowing your freedom got denied either because of your own mistakes or a sadistic instructor. My advice to anyone who fails because of a bad instructor is to schedule your next road test at a different DMV. Chances are you're still in school so ask around and see where your friends had the most success.
I passed on my second attempt earlier today and I want to thank you for all the advice you give in your videos. It really helped me get through the exam.

Just took my first lesson today (I'm a 32 YO) on 90 reverse parking and parallel parking for the state of Minnesota. I was nervous the first hour but after awhile it was no sweat. My driving test is in November. Best of luck to all!
Good job! I could never reverse park even if I tried. I can only dream of reverse parking into my garage. Unfortunately my IQ test says that I am too dumb to learn certain things, and this would be one of them.
make sure you don’t go to the Eagan dmv. they fail you for the pettiest reasons. failed mine there two times n they both told me i was an excellent driver and very observant, lol make it make sense. good luck when you do go!!
@@laterlars hey hey not trying to scare you or anything, i know there is a guy who works there names chris who’s really nice. most examiners in minnesota are just cranky. i went to will mar for my 3rd test n he seemed upset that he had to pass me and just made me feel awful by saying things like “that’s a good way to get t-boned” and smart remarks like that. you’re gonna do amazing, just take deep breathes and don’t overthink while you’re driving.

Passed my drivers test first try. Just remained calm, focused and cautious. I think during my parallel parking I was about a foot and a half to 2 feet from the curb(becuz thr car I took my test in was smaller than a sedan) & when pulling out I almost forgot to put my signal on when exiting, got up to speed rather quickly than the instructor liked me to when getting up to 30mph, other than that I watched other cars carefully and made sure to get in the correct lanes when turning about a few feet to a mile away, stopped at a stop sign or light right at the line and if I needed to move up to see the oppisite traffic I did so after completely stopping and going once it was safe to do so. There was no reverse bay parking or any of that. Jusy remain calm, collected, & like he said in the video. Pick the best answer, not necessarily the right answer.

1st attempt failed back tires hit curb while turning, 2nd attempt was frustrating, car dint turned ON due steering wheel lock , my driving school never thought me about sterling wheel lock would prevent the car from starting... I had sleepless night after these....took a week break , then passed my 3rd attempt last week finally... the key is to be cool and practice , don’t let negative thoughts influence you , do watch these wonderful videos.. NEVER EVER GIVE UP... 😎 thanks sir for all your videos especially parallel park with cones, I did parallel park like a pro on my test... 🙏🏻

My road test is on july 6 and i still have alot to learn im always nervous when i drive because i got into a car years ago i wasnt the one driving but ever since that accident im always scared and nervous is their anyway i could overcome that fear?
i felt the same way Martha, what helped me was just accepting what happened and realizing that it was an accident for a reason! Remember youre the one driving now, don’t let what happened make you fear, let it become a lesson and learn.

The part about the yellow light strikes me as so odd. What it leads to, is drivers approaching the lights focusing so much on the lights themselves that they fail to see what's going on in front of them. What if a pedestrian decides to risk it and cross the street as you approach? Yellow means prepare to stop, not stop. Also, if you're coming in fast, you don't slam the breaks just because the lights go from green to yellow. That's a surefire way of getting rear-ended and having to pay for the damage.
For new drivers, some things have to be "black & white." There can't be a nuance. And too many driver's are under the FALSE impression that yellow lights mean they can proceed or speed up. That's just part of social driving and will NOT pass a driver's test. If you have a 10 lessons with a student, the yellow light thing only happens a couple of time. And after 1 or 2 times, the student gets it figured out. And because driver's must have awareness when driving, they've mapped the intersection and know how close someone is behind them before coming to a stop at an intersection. All the best, Cheers Rick
Im 22 years old and I'm gonna take my test in a week. I think im a pretty good driver but i have an anxiety disorder, and when I have bad anxiety i tend to shake really bad and screw up everything. Driving itself doesn't give me anxiety, but im afraid the test will and make me fail. Im scared and just thinking about it makes my stomach hurt :/
I totally feel you! I'm totally fine driving with people I know, but am so nervous about the test and driving with someone I don't know kind of thing will get my anxiety going and make it harder for me 😬😩 But just gotta try to stay calm!

Thanks for this. I have been driving for 20 years but after my license expired I had to retake the test. I failed my first try. I had no idea they were so completely anal about everything. Didn't help that my test giver was a total angry aggressive evil bitch. I was crying the whole time. Not going back there for the second try lol. Wish me luck!

Took it once and failed bc the pedestrian walked off the curb as I had started turning. Taking it again on Wednesday half a year later because of covid restrictions… I’m so anxious. I’m ready to be over this whole driving thing because I have had really bad anxiety over it. It’s not worth my mental health but unfortunately I need to drive for my job

I failed my first time due to not using proper signaling when doing parallel parking and 3 point turn. Its ok though, I got my second try tomorrow, hoping to get it! (It took 5 times to get my permit so hopefully I get it this time!)

@@lilsmallz1561 Suprsingly not much I took my test in a town and all I did was drive around a bit and changed lanes it was really easy but it might be different for you.
@@SkyThePegasus I think test measures depend on the test centre, city and instructors a lot. Some instructors are really strict and want that one reason so that they can fail you. And some are so easy that even if u make a mistake, they are okay with it and pass you. IMO more than passing the test, it should be important to become a safe driver. U don’t want to keep hitting other vehicles after u get your license. Cos that will be more trouble than failing your road test n appearing the next time with improved driving skills.
It is easy but for most nerves get over them and people make stupid decisions that they might not have if someone want testing them

I failed twice because of my high anxiety. I finally passed missing nothing on the test because I was comfortable who I was with. If you failed and haven’t gotten your license yet, it’s okay. No rush take your time and if you fail you can always try again. Trust I was down in the dumps and I had a stressful year losing my dad, working, and taking care of my grandma. You guys got this!!!
I failed my road test today due to my anxiety hit a curb doing a right turn and that little thing cost me getting the license. got that as a lesson being anxious will get nobody no where and just relax cuz everything will be ok.

I passed my test January, my hints:
- Look at your mirrors every 5 seconds
- It’s better to be slow than speed. You don’t have to go exactly your speed limit. Maybe 1-2 below.
- Take your TIME. Don’t let other driver honk at you, it’s your test. Do not feel the need to rush.

Yeah, that’s why I said 1-2 below. 5 is WAAYY too slow. Where I live, the maximum speed limit is 50. So I will usually do 48-49. Not 45

For those nervous about the test just remember that at the end of the day it is up to the instructor to pass/ fail you for whatever they want. I hit the curb while backing up when I took mine and still passed. Confidence is key!

Passing my drivers test wasnt the most nervous day of my life, driving with dad is the most stressful day of my life.
Lol yes. Dads will point out every little mistake while your driving. My dad sometimes micromanages my driving and not let me make decisions and then get mad at me for not making decisions anymore. I’m still grateful for his teaching and dedication though ❤

It’s ironic cause when studying about the test and preparing to drive one of things mentioned as things that lead to crashes is distractable passengers, and how if they ain’t willin’ to stay vigilant and not distract and listen to the driver they’re as dangerous as beer or a phone and should be out and/or completely away from the driver at all times

Bro, I have the SAME PROBLEM. Driving dolo, I’m genuinely excellent. Driving with my moms?! I’m a nervous wreck.
After 2 fails I finally got my license! It's pretty easy for the evaluator to fail you for simple mistakes so keep your head up if it happens. Failure doesn't necessarily mean you're a bad driver. Keep practicing and go at it again. You're bound to get someone who believes in you. But for me I took a step further by contacting a private license and professional dmv agent that helped me to write a provisional letter to bypass the test drive and i was given a provisional driver's license which will last for 12 months. I got a license now and it will serve for 1 year then I renew again.
My little advice.
* If you think are too nervous for the test drive then you can easily switch to a provisional driver's license which you won't need to test drive.

I'm gonna be 27 and still don't have my license because my family always keeps me inside the house. Luckily I applied for jobs to find my way out of this cage. They only taught me to drive i neighbourhoods and shame me for not getting a license like my younger cousin who's mom is less strict. I'm tired of it and am tired of my life being drained, I want to take action for my own life and am doing it slowly but believe soon I can at least get my license if I keep it up with studying and practicing but I don’t think I can cos I got a lotta work to do. no it isnt, a provisional license grant individuals more driving privileges and fewer restrictions than a permit allowing us to drive unsupervised but with certain conditions such as time restriction or limitation on the number of passengers.

I remember when I took my driver test about 6 years ago I failed the first time because I “ran a yellow light”. I was stopped at a red light behind a huge dump truck and couldn’t see the light (I was about 2 Cars back). The light turned green and we all went. Well the light turned yellow SO FAST when I was in the middle of making a left turn, and the lady was like “sir you just ran a red light”. I did not say anything but in my head I was thinking “did you want me to stop in the middle of the intersection??” Anyways this is all to say. Air on the side of caution during your test. Just be patient at lights. You may sit at a light through 2 cycles before you can go and that’s okay if it means you will pass the test.

When I took my test he told me I was extra on everything which was a good thing. 🤷♂️ he was in a good mood as well so I got lucky😁
That’s the thing about these road test it depends if your examiner wants to be an a hole and the location some people have to drive for way longer
Worst mistake I made when learning was trying to mimic what other drivers are doing, especially at intersections. You are oh so right my friend. What you observed is called social driving. It’s the way people drive after they get their license. And to pass a driver’s test, you CAN’T drive like that. You dont have to take the test in your own town you can take it at any near dmv locations just schedule your appointment there and you should be good

It's a really simple idea but the idea of practicing near the testing center and driving those streets blew my mind and I haven't done it yet but I'm sure will be super helpful.

I should have to be honest. I failed two times, passed with a 91 on my third.
Be careful now. don't do it in the same day you're taking your test. I had a friend who practiced on the same day and was told to go home and refused the test.

Doing my drivers test honestly felt like a fever dream, I only remember doing hand signals and pointing at the hazard lights, but the actual drive...no memory. Like someone else was in control. I guess I was so nervous that my mind just erased it from my memory. Still passed tho so that’s nice

I passed my driving test on my second attempt, honestly it really does depend on the examiner and its at there discretion to pass or fail you. I am happy to have had my second attempt with the examiner I got. These videos also really helped.

You are right. I failed my test because the person made me feel tense right from the get go. Was an older fella, with a military attitude. Made me feel so uneasy. Do they teach instructors to rattle the people on their tests a bit... cause it felt that way. I get along well with everyone, I don't think it was fair how I was dealt with right out of the gate.
I agree with this 100%. My first time I failed because the instructor kept making small comments but my second time around I had such a kind guy who made me feel extremely relaxed and even allowed me to fix up my parallel parking to get it closer to the curb
@@cbrianie This made me feel a bit better. First time I failed I got a really rude guy, didn’t talk at all, didn’t say goodmorning back, just made me feel on edge the entire time. Made me mess up the parallel parking part and he just said your not getting a second chance.

i took my test today and passed with a 100. i was very nervous but something very true is it really can depend on your instructor. I had an appointment at the end of the day and i talked a little with them and they just wanted to go home. they chose the shortest route and didn’t care to mark any points off.

i just made sure to drive as if i was taking a test every time i practiced driving with my permit. my dad would rush me if i didn’t roll through stop signs (among other things) so i only drove with my mom. i had really bad anxiety about driving while i was learning so i got like 25 of my 50 hours just driving in parking lots and neighborhood streets so i could get comfortable and more confident just driving the car without having to worry too much about pedestrians, other drivers, traffic, etc. and every time i drove, i made sure to make full stops at stop signs, stay as close to the speed limit as possible, stop at yellow lights when i could, etc. so that when i was taking the test, i could just drive how i always did when practicing and didn’t have to change how i drove or worry about that at all. “practice as you perform” they say. and then even someone with as much anxiety around driving as me can pass the test first try
When you take the test do you need your permit with you because I had got mine stolen
I just passed my road test. I have been watching many of this videos and practicing. Is always nerves but just trust yourself and make sure you practice a lot. I pretended I was driving with my instructor and always making t sure you really turn your head to check blind spots. I hit the curve a bit when parking but it wasn't bad. Just make sure you do all those maneuvers when parking very slow so if you hit the curve is not bad. Also make sure you stay center in the lane even when there is no markings draw one in your head. I passed my drivers test on the 3rd attempt. The first one was dumb and I feel like she failed me for no reason. She said turn right and I made a left. I made the left turn safely and obeyed every traffic rule. She could've just told me to make a U-turn and proceed with the test but she decided to fail me. i still hate her till this day. 2nd test I failed because I made a turn with one hand. I hate him also.

When I was 17 and driving with my instructor (still don't have my license 5 years later, sadly) he wasn't paying attention and went "oh turn left" while I was more than half way through the intersection (one of the ones were traffic the way I was going does not stop) and I said "it's too late, I'm more than half way through" and the slammed on the break on his side and made me turn. He 1) made me look like a bad driver to others, 2) could have caused an accident.

@@smartdrivetest I didnt celebrate. my dad who drove me there said this is my last chance to pass cuz he's not going to drive me there again. after i pass, everyone just said "you finally did it." I'm the only child who didnt pass on their first try so they thought something was wrong with me.
In Germany you cannot fail because of that,
Because its normal that you maybe confuse left or right under that pressure or just have heard it wrong.
If you still obey all the traffic laws its just fine.
The ones testing will just make sure that this doesnt happen all the time and that you actually know where left and right is.
But drivers license test in Germany also requires several dozen hours of driving school before you are allowed (first theory then driving) which cost you about 1200 dollar, so yeah.... XD
Only thing that I missed was parallel parking I didn’t leave my blinker on when reversing. I passed 🇺🇸✊🏻

- turn signals front nd back
- brake lights
- tires
- foot brake
- horn
- emergency parking
- windshield wipers
- arm signals
- defrosters
- hazard lights or emergency flashers
- headlights
- passenger box
- glove box
- seat belts
only can make 15 mistakes and 3 on the check up before u actually drive
- over exaggerate everything ex. when switching lanes exaggerate your head movement making sure no cars are coming on the lane you’re switching to
- stay calm and collective 🧘🏻♂️
- stay speed limit if you don’t know it it’s always 25 mph
- 20 mph in a school zone 🚸
- ACT like u care
- be extra aware of your surroundings!
I failed the first time I wasn’t a confident driver and I only had my permit for 2 weeks 😭 I go back later next month I’ll update if I pass this time.

I just passed my driving test yesterday at the Santa Monica Dmv here in southern california. It was in the middle of rush hour and we literally went around the block once and ended up back in the parking lot. The instructor told me i passed and said that we didn't need to do the backing up portion of the test because there won't be any parking at this time lol. EDIT: it was also my first time and my nerves were shot to hell.

I'm so frustrated I failed my first test today!! I was so nervous my instructor was so unfriendly and despite that I did a really good job I was convinced I was gonna pass and when we got back to the dmv she said I did good very minor adjustments but that I was going 36 in a 30mph zone automatic fail all I was doing was going with the flow of traffic ...anyway I want to be accountable im really gonna pay attention to my speed next time I'm gonna take a couple weeks break though because I'm mentally exhausted

Just took my test today and I passed. All I did was parallel park, went to a roundabout did a U-turn, stopped at some signs and crosswalks (on the DMV property). And that was it. Instructor was friendly and decent. Hit the curb two times during parallel parking, but readjusted. He said I did okay and I was fine with that. But I used these videos as reminders to prepare me. Thanks again!

Cheesy Flows Yeah, first check your car or if your using a friend’s car drive it for a couple of times so you are familiar with the locations of everything like the wipers, defrost etc. Be calm and pay attention this driving test is just like normal driving by yourself the only different is someone is there watching you so pay attention and stay calm. Practice lots of backing up and parking on the curb. Take you time don’t rush that is a must part of the test. You will do fine 👍

I did nearly perfect on my test, but at the very end of the test where he told me to go straight and pull in, I missed the very final stop sign because it was on the left instead of right side that I’m used to. This resulted in an automatic fail. I’m taking it again in 3 weeks so hopefully I don’t miss it again.

Got my driver's license years ago at this point. Had to take my test twice and honestly a lot of it unfortunately comes down to the instructor you get. First guy answered a personal phone call during my test and gave me points for not pulling out right after he made me pull over to the side of the road to take his call. Gave me points for a whole bunch of other stupid things and I failed. All around a miserable asshole. Second guy was very polite and forgiving. Made some minor errors but he could see that I was clearly competent enough to drive on my own without posing a risk to the lives of others or myself. That was one of the happiest days of my life whereas my first time was one of the worst days of my life. It's an awful feeling knowing your freedom got denied either because of your own mistakes or a sadistic instructor. My advice to anyone who fails because of a bad instructor is to schedule your next road test at a different DMV. Chances are you're still in school so ask around and see where your friends had the most success.
Instructor didn’t have her seatbelt on the entire road test and afterwards asked if I wanted to know why I failed. 🤣

Just took my first lesson today (I'm a 32 YO) on 90 reverse parking and parallel parking for the state of Minnesota. I was nervous the first hour but after awhile it was no sweat. My driving test is in November. Best of luck to all!

Good job! I could never reverse park even if I tried. I can only dream of reverse parking into my garage. Unfortunately my IQ test says that I am too dumb to learn certain things, and this would be one of them.
make sure you don’t go to the Eagan dmv. they fail you for the pettiest reasons. failed mine there two times n they both told me i was an excellent driver and very observant, lol make it make sense. good luck when you do go!!

@@laterlars hey hey not trying to scare you or anything, i know there is a guy who works there names chris who’s really nice. most examiners in minnesota are just cranky. i went to will mar for my 3rd test n he seemed upset that he had to pass me and just made me feel awful by saying things like “that’s a good way to get t-boned” and smart remarks like that. you’re gonna do amazing, just take deep breathes and don’t overthink while you’re driving.

Passed my drivers test first try. Just remained calm, focused and cautious. I think during my parallel parking I was about a foot and a half to 2 feet from the curb(becuz thr car I took my test in was smaller than a sedan) & when pulling out I almost forgot to put my signal on when exiting, got up to speed rather quickly than the instructor liked me to when getting up to 30mph, other than that I watched other cars carefully and made sure to get in the correct lanes when turning about a few feet to a mile away, stopped at a stop sign or light right at the line and if I needed to move up to see the oppisite traffic I did so after completely stopping and going once it was safe to do so. There was no reverse bay parking or any of that. Jusy remain calm, collected, & like he said in the video. Pick the best answer, not necessarily the right answer.

1st attempt failed back tires hit curb while turning, 2nd attempt was frustrating, car dint turned ON due steering wheel lock , my driving school never thought me about sterling wheel lock would prevent the car from starting... I had sleepless night after these....took a week break , then passed my 3rd attempt last week finally... the key is to be cool and practice , don’t let negative thoughts influence you , do watch these wonderful videos.. NEVER EVER GIVE UP... 😎 thanks sir for all your videos especially parallel park with cones, I did parallel park like a pro on my test... 🙏🏻

I failed the test cause I didn't stop long enough at stop signs
My road test is on july 6 and i still have alot to learn im always nervous when i drive because i got into a car years ago i wasnt the one driving but ever since that accident im always scared and nervous is their anyway i could overcome that fear?

The part about the yellow light strikes me as so odd. What it leads to, is drivers approaching the lights focusing so much on the lights themselves that they fail to see what's going on in front of them. What if a pedestrian decides to risk it and cross the street as you approach? Yellow means prepare to stop, not stop. Also, if you're coming in fast, you don't slam the breaks just because the lights go from green to yellow. That's a surefire way of getting rear-ended and having to pay for the damage.
For new drivers, some things have to be "black & white." There can't be a nuance. And too many driver's are under the FALSE impression that yellow lights mean they can proceed or speed up. That's just part of social driving and will NOT pass a driver's test. If you have a 10 lessons with a student, the yellow light thing only happens a couple of time. And after 1 or 2 times, the student gets it figured out. And because driver's must have awareness when driving, they've mapped the intersection and know how close someone is behind them before coming to a stop at an intersection. All the best, Cheers Rick
Im 22 years old and I'm gonna take my test in a week. I think im a pretty good driver but i have an anxiety disorder, and when I have bad anxiety i tend to shake really bad and screw up everything. Driving itself doesn't give me anxiety, but im afraid the test will and make me fail. Im scared and just thinking about it makes my stomach hurt :/

Thanks for this. I have been driving for 20 years but after my license expired I had to retake the test. I failed my first try. I had no idea they were so completely anal about everything. Didn't help that my test giver was a total angry aggressive evil bitch. I was crying the whole time. Not going back there for the second try lol. Wish me luck!
I like how you reply to evey comment even in older videos that are months and years old. But I was wondering if you know if California requires parrarel parking for the driving test. I have myn in a couple days and I have no idea how to parrarel park, am not good with the reversing presses.

October 30th 2021 I passed on my birthday got a 82. Half hour later I got my temporary license from the DMV at 31 I can now freely drive on the road

Took it once and failed bc the pedestrian walked off the curb as I had started turning. Taking it again on Wednesday half a year later because of covid restrictions… I’m so anxious. I’m ready to be over this whole driving thing because I have had really bad anxiety over it. It’s not worth my mental health but unfortunately I need to drive for my job
