I hope you enjoy this Led Zeppelin tribute! I've envisioned this new arrangement for these two tracks for decades and FINALLY brought it to life the past year! These tracks feature Orianthi on guitar, Tony Boyd on bass guitar and Demetrius Houser on keyboard! We had a lot of fun working on these songs! A special thank you to Drumeo for giving me the opportunity to perform and capture these two songs in their studio! ❤

MAGNIFIQUE🔬🎼🎬😉💪🎺🙏🌌
Amazing sound ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
This was just marvelous. Your a legend
Thanks my brother 🙏🏿 sugarfoot it is always a honor and pleasure to share and create musicically with the brilliance of your musical gifts and musical knowledge. 🎼 🎶🎶💯God bless you sound great 🎤 🎙 🥁
That orriantha is well fit. Would love to if Richie ever lets me
This man has played drums live for more hours than most have practiced in their lifetime and it shows.
Yeah, that is true for pretty much every professional musician :D
Well, Mr. Sugarfoot personally liked your comment, so I assume your statement is 100% true haha
More than I have of age.
Love seeing an artist with multiple cymbal makers. Screw brand loyalty as long as it sounds good
Was just noticing that ! 👍
Moffett is one of those dudes who gained some popularity amongst drummers back in the day, but I'm so happy to see him under the brightest spotlight today. From working drummer to social media star--what a cool story!
Totally earn it and deserve it, the man's a legend
He makes himself accessible too. I’ve written and asked him a few questions and he’s never failed to respond friendly and professionally.
Can clearly see why this man is a legend amongst legends
You know, I never really appreciated the grooves behind MJ's songs until I started watching Sugarfoot on UA-cam. Our bass player wants to cover Billie Jean, and that's when I really started getting into what Jonathan was all about. Dude is a serious time keeper and groove master.
@@wpochert Unless they're watching MJ live with Sugarfoot on drums . . . Just saying . . .
Nduglu Chancler played the drums on the Billie Jean recording
His playing is so tight, not even a needle would fit in. Absolute Master.
I’m 56 now, and I haven’t played a full set in 7 years. Interesting number… I started playing when I was 7 years old.
And like many of you, this man has lit a fire under me and I just GOTTA get back in the driver’s seat again ASAP!
To kick it off, just 2 days ago my SweetBeats drumsticks arrived in the mail. Sugarfoot’s SweetBeats drumsticks.
I got the Cobalt blue 2B’s with nylon tips on one end and wood tips on the other… this is the only time I’ve ever been excited about drumsticks in my life. I’ve played them all - Regal Tip, ProMark, Zildjian, Vic Firth… I stayed with the Vic Firth SD1 Generals for 28 years…28 years!
But now it’s Jonathan Moffett’s SweetBeats 2B. I genuinely like them a smidge better than my tried and true SD1 Generals.. the dual weighting option is just BRILLIANT.
Now I gotta get them in every other color. I’m like a kid again! This is freakin’ fantastic!
At 56, and having grown into music in the 1970’s… sadly, most of my drum heroes have died already. Charlie Watts was like the nail in the coffin…. And then POW!.. like a FREIGHT TRAIN Jonathan Sugarfoot Moffett comes ROARING back into the forefront!
I was lucky enough to have seen him years ago with both The Jackson’s and Madonna, and he was the best thing a drummer could see back then - the proof that a real drummer was still better than any drum machine.
…and now, all I can say is HELL YEAH!! 🤘😆🤘
Ufff... That precision on the kick. This man has a studio level live sound. Every beat is extremely clean and consistent, besides the brutally steady tempo. You re the man Jonathan
no man, impossible you are not joking... that double bass was completely terrible
You´re the metronome man! The magic behind Jacksons hits is this clock
Still can't get how this feels as it's being played with atomic precision while an insane groove is dominant at the same time. It's a paradox since the first is usually associated with a mechanical type of playing. From now on, this phenomenon should be called the Sugarfoot Paradox.
Time after time, Jonathan Moffett shreds the rules of Universe while drumming.
This dudes has always been a fucking beast behind the kit, hence the sweetness of the groove
Apart from being technically perfect just watching Sugarfoot smash cymbals, bang drums and kick bass drums to death is so enjoyable
Well his foot technique is really bad, specially his double hits with one foot and even more bad his double kick work. Although he is a pocket pocket player and only a pocket player so it doesnt really matter
The serenity in the eyes of the man who will break everything
This man have a rolex inside. So accurate and so in touch with the songs. Not just a rythm but a part of the melody.
This man can drum to anything!
He's one special drummer and in my opinion best ever.
The man is a drum machine. Precision in every movement and beat. Oh... and that's him on the vocals also? Wow.
Interesting to see a pro level drummer using a variety of cymbal brands
I was thinking the same thing. Actually I think that's awesome. Noticed the HHX, I wonder if it's a Evolution? Killer Fucking Playing, totally inspires me to want to be a better drummer.
I think that basically just means "hey cymbal companies ive git screw-you-money and dont need a sponsorship"
So do I
Have noticed that so cool
This is tight. Could listen/watch his covers all day. Technically perfect.
The serious look on his face can’t disguise the fun he is having!!!!😊😊
He he he😂
Pretty much how the pyramids were built. Not even the thickness of a paper could fit between the blocks. Same goes for Moffetts pocket, his dot, zero room for error. Love ya Brother 💪🏼🤙🏼✌🏼
Great composition! The sound guys at Drumeo deserve Grammy awards! And Jonathan Moffett is absolutely one of the best session drummers alive today.
You sir are resurrecting classics and bringing them back to life. Thank You Sugarfoot, Much Love
I pay internet for stuff like this. Amazing artists
Your drumming is amazing ! I’m a guitarist but I wanted to start learning the drums because of your video playing smooth criminal. Thank you so much and keep it up!
the sound is so clean that you can see beyond the groove. incredible as always. i should stop listening JM otherwise i wont want to play with any other drummer as a guitar player. this is beyond insane. knowing that i wont be able to play with this level of greatness next to me is sad. MJ was a lucky man.
So deep in the pocket I had to pull the lint off my speakers. Bravo!
The precision is just ridiculous, the dynamics. You're out of this world. Greetings from Portugal.
Nothing could have prepared me for this!!
Moffett has-been one of my iconic drummers of my drumming career for the past decades from my school days...if any young up coming want to learn tight drumming and proper use of the cymbals you should flick and strike like him...🤘👏
A master of his craft.
I had wanted to quit playing drums when I reached age 40. But watching you play now has changed my mind. No matter how old one is, drum will always be part of one.
RIGHT??!!

@@danepaulstewart8464 thanks for this, Dane. Please, I am from Nigeria (West Africa). Hoe can I order for these drumsticks and get them delivered to me?
It's awesome, thanks for doing it. I'm glad people are checking it out and enjoying it.
Who says precision is emotionless. This shreds. Great vocals too. You rock sugarfoot.
Those toms sound absolutely MASSIVE
I was expecting the original kashmir beat to be honest.
A very powerful drum set.
This sounded like a Michael Jackson version.
He said it was a tribute, just read that
Farla uguale per imitare Bonzo non avrebbe avuto senso ....
@@robertocarta6246 ?
masterpiece, greatest drum sound ever 🙏
I can't get enough of this sound of that drums!! You are so incredible for drum covers!!!!
master of the universe
That was simply awesome, Mr. Moffett…a very creative interpretation of Zeppelin classics with tasty new grooves and awesome vocals. I loved it!
Tightest drummer alive!🔥
Congratulations, sir! You are absolutely awesome!
Love this!! What a unique take on Led Zeppelin! Mr Bonham would’ve been proud 😊
Damn...every single he hits sound so good
Agreed, super super solid. There were some early hits at the beginning (0:54 for example), but as a fellow human being and the coming era of AI everything, I really appreciate hearing something that isn't sync'd to the millisecond.
There is tight. Then there's Moffett tight. WOW!
What i find so distingushing for drummers is that it is the 0.02 seconds delay we hear when some one really performd the beat or just immitates the drumm. A good Real dreamner hit on time whatever accent he likes.
Thanks for your great videos. Your realy the best. Take care and god bless my old friend.
Always awesome! I love your drumming so much! Solid, precise, exciting, and feels great!
Gorgeous performances!
Amazing! As a fan of Led Zeppelin, this blows me away. So much of your style and pocket is incorporated into the creativity of this arrangment. It is refreshing to see such a unique take on a classic.
Very cool version Jonathan. I love it.
Startled me on that intro!
This man is a beast.
It's a very creative, unconventional, tight tribute to Led Zep, and you've managed to bring your own style to it perfectly. Kudos! Don't mind the Bonzo fanboys, they think they can appropriate his legacy and music for themselves, but it's not so.
Haven't seen one comment from a Bonzo "fanboy "that has been negative. Zep fans have taste.
So solid and tight, great drumming, man! And that snare sounds so good.
This is great his own spin on it which really works …. What a legend a real nice guy I watched his videos on Drumeo and Jonathan is so down to earth and humble he comes across really nice and hey what a fantastic drummer …. Love where he has his cymbals ! I have never seen a set up like this but it works a treat …. Thank you for posting 🙏🙏
So refreshing🎉
Absolutely loved it! Powerful drumming! More!
Your playing is just Devine, thank you for posting this!!!!
Perfect way to be waking up with my coffee 👌🏽
I love that he’s using a mix of Soultone, Meinl, and Sabian cymbals
I think he has Zildjian hats too!
Paiste also
This is fantastic! Thank you for sharing this! Makes me wish for a live collaboration between you guys. Keep rockin' Sugarfoot!
I am older now, served my country USMC,work for FDNY over 22 years and was never able to afford drm lessons.I pray, hope I get at least 1 or 2 B4 my Kingdom comes....Great job Sir!❤️❤️❤️
Wow. This is a masterpiece of a solid groove. Interesting version.
Been waiting for this one to drop, can’t wait to hear more!
LOVE IT🎉 Keep the videos coming Jonathan
For all you young drummers, please find a video of MJ and the band rehearsing the last tour, "The way you make me feel", where you can grasp the tension, and how JMoffet had the balls and nerve as drummer, where MJ didnt feel ok with the timing, and wanted the band to pull back and slow the groove, its a master class in the craft of drumming for someone like MJ.
Absolutely fantastic!
I love the drum kit brother and outstanding performance. Much Love!
golden touch.
So now i know the MJ sounds origin. Clear cutting precise…pure timing. Beat
Just amazingly awesome.
Master, what a powerfull groove, awesome🔥🔥🔥
Amazing job Mr Moffett! Incredible nice interpretations of these classics!
WOW !! That was Awesome ! Thank You Jonathan you made my day 🙏
what a beautiful kit!
Love all these cymbals
These are some words that we can't deny to describe sir Moffett and MJ's legacy in their live performances:
Kings
Precision
Stamina
Entertaining
Progressive
Storytellers
While MJ was setting a standard for Pop Music, his live musicians were also setting a standard for live performances.
This video is one example by sir Moffett himself, and it shows how he and the King of Pop made such LEGENDARY arrangements.
I would like to see you performing Rush's songs maybe Tom Sawyer who knows or even playing with the guys Geedy Lee & Alex, I think it will be a great tribute to Peart 😊
I second this motion
Yeah, would've been cool to see what sugarfoot is capable of.
He is very much like Neil in playing style.
Thought the same, I’d love to hear him perform some rush songs like Freewill or Jacobs Ladder
@@andreaspedersen3952 eh.. no he is not. Good drummer but nothing like Peart.
I second that
RESPECT❤🌹
I felt so lucky to watch this treasure for free. Oh Sugarfoot such a master indeed! Very worthwhile to watch
Energetic, inspirational and Timeless!
OMG I can't wait this 🤘🤘🤘
Yeah!!! 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽 Sugar giving us a new swing!!
Very creative and “AWESOME”!!!!!
Can’t wait for the rest. 🎼🎵🎵🎵🎵🎵👊🏾
I love this
I love this version !!! Well done !!!! 🤘🤘👍👍🫵🤘
What a beautiful drumming! Before I die, I'll record at least one song with this Bruce Lee-level-drummer, I swear!🥷
Wish I could hear more of the high hat part. Awesome!!! Love it! I’m a subscriber now!
Loved it man, will always be a big fan
I was wondering who and how regulates/sets the metronomes to properly measure the tempo - now I know! The precision of the best Swiss watches, masterful musicality - a great drummer - Chapeau bas Sir!
This brilliant, Sir. You are a legend. Love from Sri Lanka. ❤
I feel truly blessed to have been able to hear this tribute. I loved every second.
As usual great drumming expertise .sharp precise.
Wow amazing 🎉
Amazing ❤
You're so inspiring!❤🎶😎
O cara toca pra música
Pure quality, all killer, no filler.
Great interpretation 🔥
This is EPIC.🔥
He is the clock alright 👍 👌 🙌
