Did 30 hours on 1586 last week and my 1086 with loader gets used most days. Cheap reliable power, no technology needed..
Those are good working choppers. I have two of them that we are still using. have a two row and a 3 row.

My dad has a ih 986 with the Elwood 4wd and a ih 720 chopper he bought both brand new.. he upgraded to a NH 230 chopper last year...
do you need any spare parts for that chopper? my neighbors have a brand new shear bar, and brand new belt for that corn head, not sure what else they have.

Thank you, that one is my son’s actually. Good running tractor. He rebuilt it up to a 466 with a different crank shaft.
That chopper looks very similar to a New Holland 770 or 892 pull type.
Not a spec of green or deer I’m sight love to see it
