I H POWER RULES Nice 1486 Really nice to see the real I H tractors still getting it done Noticed a green one in the shed Funny but sad Thats usually where there at Watching the I H tractors doing all the work Great video Keep them coming
So cool to see. I can't believe you guys still have that old International tractor. I remember helping your dad transport it when I was helping him out harvest of 2011!
Have a great and safe planting season. We are back into winter up here in Wisconsin. We were in the 60s a week ago getting excited about planting oats and rye. Guess not..lol
Nice power but the stubby short frame made for a rough ride. I much Preferred the longer frame and smooth ride of the 1370 Case. The power bulge difference was unbelievable for the Case 504 engine design. I ran the wheels off of those Red machines for many years before the white cab Case tractors came out. The sound proof cab with AC set it far above the IH tractors of the time. Differential lock was standard equipment. Tilt steering, telescoping length. Ahead of its time.
Running wide open or what rpm? It sure doesn't seem to phase it. Edit: How you keep your hydraulics running so fast? I see that thing lifted up really quick but for my 1066 I can't seem to fold a damn tedder with some tiny 1 1/2" cylinder at 1800 rpm after its hot. Its got new pump new filters new cooler and cooler lines.
This brings back memories. I used to drive a 1586 pulling the same disk back in the eighties.
He's got the gauge wheels up and she's "walkin and talkin".......nothing more satisfying than discing last years corn stalks....

Go Big Red

Sharp sharp looking 1486 he had no trouble pulling that disk
read comment below
That is a lot of weight on that front end, but it seems to need it too.
He pulls that disk like a champ

Finally got a good rain today, hopefully that cycle continues to get us out of this drought. Good luck to you brother 🤙
Nice rig!! We have a 15 and 4 smaller ih tractors. Love your custom front weight bracket!! Be safe and hope you have a great harvest!! Subbed ya also.
Thank you, you as well
Last time I drove a 1486 was oh today
RED POWER!!!
Only problem I had with the 86 series was that left hand shifter.
I banged and bruised my hip on that thing constantly
It's so awkward shifting gears on the road
And hang up like crazy after some wear
Thou shalt not desire.
Thanks!
Enjoy!
1486 got its Hands full with that disk
I'd say it's doing pretty damn good.
@@stevenmiddagh6265 alittle over loaded
@@patloebertmann537 it's not a jd, it's fine
It's a bit much for it sometimes but it does pretty darn good all things considered
It's a good thing for that tractor that you are keeping that 26ft 490 on the wheels
Nah full deep let er eat 😂
That thing is definitely turned up somehow 😂
There is know way
Completely stock idk why it always seemed to have as much power as a 1586
Some of the 86s came with a rotary pump instead of the old gear pumps.

We used to have a IH 5488 on it for the longest time and then the 8400 JD which became a main work tractor so the 1486 can't retire just yet.
Went from a 1370 to a JD 4640 never looked back. JD was like riding a Cloud
@@mikedemott1720 you missed the 2590 ,great ride, great power. 504 cid.
Pretty awesome. What part of Nebraska do you farm?
In-between York and Seward
I’ve got a 26 foot 490 disc but mine looks a little different from yours.

We run 2300-2400 rpm on the disc, hydraulics are stock
I put high flow rate pumps on all of my 26, 56 & 86 tractors, made a world of difference
@@hankelrod7315 Will have to look into it for my 66, got a source I can start looking from though or even a part # for a 1976 1066?
How Big Of A Disk Was That
26ft
Do you molboard plow now or plant right into that?
We do no-till practices we were just discing over ground that we ripped
Are the back tires loaded?
No
last time i drove a 1486 was 1994 . we had ih and massys
He shouldn't have to over lap that much, the disk might be a tad to big for that tractor,,😮
Goin over the ripped ground
They don't pull near as hard when you carry them -
