I can kind of relate to what you’re going through. I’m legally blind and it’s something I had to overcome throughout my life. Obviously, it’s not what you’re going through. However, I know the feeling of self guilt. Throughout my life, I allowed myself to let my vision keep me from doing things I wanted to do. Because of that, I missed out on a lot. There are times where I feel like I’ve waisted my childhood being afraid of my vision. It sounds silly, but it’s true. I had to learn how to look at my disability in a positive way. You’re not alone.

I didn’t see your last video until you posted this, but I went back to watch it and came back to this one. Really sorry to hear that you’re going through this though man. I’ve never been through even a slight spurt of tinnitus, but it seems like torture and I’m really glad you’ve enlightened me and others on what all this condition can entail. Hope you can come back to the channel strong and soon, and hope you can recover! Glad to hear that you’ve been doing better! I’ll make sure to wear ear pro at concerts in the future.

I hope in the next two months it does go away completely or at least close to completely.
Depression is hard, I lived with it since I was a kid but I learned to live with it.
Because of the vertigo are you afraid to drive?
I do love your reviews in your car, it just seems “real” unlike these “professional “ reviewers who has a setup.
Definitely tyt making vids, no need to force yourself if you don’t feel it.
We’ll be waiting once you’re ready.

    Tyler:
First, I have some positive news for you. I am 60 years old and got tinnitus exactly the same way that you did: at a loud concert when I was 20. My first tinnitus episode did go away completely for me within 1-2 years, so thay might happen for you. Subsequent to that, I have had many spikes since then from an outdoor concert to loud noises at work. The good news is that I eventually fully habituated to all of the spikes; usually after 6 months to a year and a half. GABA definitely helped me recover from one or 2 of the spikes. Zinc and magnesium also can help. I am dealing with a nasty spike right now, due to an accident with my cell phone. It occurred last November, so I am 9 weeks into my current spike. My last was in 2014, so I had a decade of habituation! I am optimistic I can habituate to this spike too: we are in similar distress now: We will both get better!!!
    Hang in there!!!

I had tinnitus from a concert in 2018, and had a whistling sound in my ear for about 1 year. Very hard to sleep, but it resolved itself, and took time. Unfortunately I got severe tinnitus in 2019 from microsuction for ear wax. Very loud hissing noise in my left ear. I also experienced severe hyperacusis for a couple of weeks, and am still sensitive to some noise like plates banging together. I got used to the tinnitus, but in 2023 I went somewhere where the music was louder than I thought and this has made the tinnitus a lot worse. It's taken me about another year to get used to it, but there are still times when it stresses me out and I struggle with it, particularly if i hear any noises which i think are loud, even though they might not be. Good news about the Susan Shore device.. Currently in FDA approval. Can you make your tinnitus worse if you move your jaw?

No my jaw has no effect but if I clinch my teeth it sounds a little louder

@@TGMfilms Ok. If I clench my teeth or jut my jaw forward, it makes my tinnitus more pronounced. I believe this is somatic tinnitus, which is usually to do with neck and jaw issues, but mine was obviously caused by loud noise exposure

I have had tinnitus for 13 years. And i had 3 mornings of strong vertigo in this period. First thing to do exercise- stand on the head and turn the head to the left and right. It helped a lot. Then just go outside for cardio running. It helps a lot for brain blood flow. My tinnitus is like grasshopper sound- loud but soft, no problem for sleeping. But sometimes i had strong new aggressive sounds of tinnitus, who was related with some foods or drinks. Clever tea, Thyme tea, alcohol. Needs to find out and avoid those aggressors. Yours hearing system is weak, and if you don't wannt get new tinnitus sounds always avoid loud environment and headsets! (loud headsets was my second mistake maybe 5-6 years ago, i got some new sounds after loud sessions of pubg...).
