      This is the same principal the Neosensory device uses except theirs uses a wrist band device that vibrates to the tones the app plays, I bought one last year (payments of $250.00).
      Unfortunately the Neosensory does little to nothing for me. What most of us need is the hearing restoration drugs that are under development. I'm assuming this device won't do a thing for me as proved with the Neosensory device, so I can think of a whole I'd rather spend $5,000.00. I'm passing on this too.

    It has been out since 2019 in Europe. Studies are fine, but what have their real world results been? Plus by default, the vast majority of tinnitus patients get better over time (habituation). So how much of the benefits would have happened regardless. Lastly a lot of what the device makers say seems to be misleading. So why would we believe anything that they would say?

    • @treblehealth
      @treblehealth  4 місяці тому +1

      Not everyone reaches habituation, and it's true that individual experiences with tinnitus can vary widely. While studies provide valuable insights, real-world results can sometimes differ due to various factors. It's essential to critically evaluate claims made by device makers and not believe everything at face value.

      They just skimmed the surface of shores research. Without actually knowing anything about it. Or doing proper placebo controlled tests. Just to pump out a grotesquely overpriced set of useless earbuds and an electrical device. To scam the price of 10 ps5's out you for something that's absolutely useless or even detrimental.

      I completely understand your concerns about the cost and effectiveness of certain treatments. That's why exploring more established and effective methods like Tinnitus Retraining Therapy (TRT) or Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) may be a better approach.

      The most important thing to understand is you have to first manage your anxiety. Anxiety is the trigger that worsens your tinnitus. There are many things you can do to calm anxiety. Tinnitus hearing aids, sound generators, baths, massages, soothing talk with a therapist, medications for reducing anxiety..etc.
      Don’t waste too much time searching for the magic machine, that will instantly cure tinnitus, cause if it doesn’t help, you’ll get even more frustrated/anxious.
      So try to stay positive and use the techniques that will make you feel less stressed.

      Basically tinnitus is caused by neural hyperactivity of cells in the auditory brain. If properly tuned the device sends a similar sound to your ears and a certain electric sensory signal to your face.
      Sounds scammy I know but it has literally been shown in brain scans of guinea pigs to tune down this hyperactivity.
      Its worked in placebo controlled tests in humans. All participants reported between 60 and 75 percent reduction in a 4 week testing period.
      Their reduction stuck after a 3 week break which surprised the researchers.

    I went to the VA and got nice hearing aids. They increase ambient noise and my tinnitus is hardly noticeable. But at night, when I take them out, ambient noise is trimmed back (because my hearing aids are out and in the charging pack) and the ringing intensifies. I really get used to not hearing the loud volume of ringing when the hearing aids are in. It’s really nice. But when they come out at night, the ringing is much more noticeable.

    i used this treatment, hoping it would have an effect on me, but it didn't. There were no improvements after three months of two 30-minute sessions daily. On some days, it made my tinnitus worse. So, now I make a plate of vegetables containing broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots with some walnuts and Sriracha sauce before eating a lesser amount of the aforementioned garbage. Whether it be some pasta or half of a sandwich with some soup or a single hot dog with half a baked potato rather than three of 'em, and no cake, ice cream, and/or cookies for dessert.
      And only water. No soda, beer, or liquor.

    Experienced this firsthand. I was seeing an audiologist for my tinnitus and I had heard of this device. I asked about it and it turned out they were in the process of getting training to be an official Lenire provider. I had been going through some of the traditional tinnitus treatment with very limited success and even have expensive hearing aids to address some mild to moderate hearing loss thought to be the cause of my initial tinnitus. However, I was very disappointed to find out that because I'm dealing with depression/anxiety it sort of disqualified me from using the Lenire device with any hope of success. This seems like an odd caveat for a device claiming to have such success treating a condition that could obviously cause or amplify depression/anxiety. Oh well..the tinnitus torture continues.

      It's worth noting that tinnitus after a traumatic brain injury (TBI), such as getting punched and passing out, can occur. To ensure everything is functioning well, it's crucial for your friend to visit a neurologist for a thorough assessment. After confirming that there are no underlying issues with the brain, your friend can explore sound therapy as a potential option for managing any remaining tinnitus symptoms.

      I stupidly got a loan for linare and will b paying 3tin month for the next year,only did it cos I’m desperate as my tinnitus is unbearable now,before I got it I used tens on my wrist n think it worked just as well,been using it a couple month now n it’s got worse if anything,wish it d got a 4 grand heating aid instead l,gutted,heads wrecked either constant noise and now I owe a fortune too,don’t believe their success stories it’s absolute garbage

    • @treblehealth
      @treblehealth  4 місяці тому

      While there isn't research specifically on using a finger or the side of the jaw for bimodal stimulation, the existing research focuses on using the tongue. However, if you're curious about trying alternative approaches, you can certainly experiment cautiously. Just keep in mind that there may not be scientific evidence to support their effectiveness for tinnitus management.

      I'm sorry to hear about your experience with the device. It's disappointing when treatments don't deliver the expected results. It might be worth exploring more proven methods like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Tinnitus Retraining Therapy (TRT) for managing your tinnitus. These approaches have shown positive outcomes for many individuals dealing with tinnitus.

      Given that other people have described being dissuaded/denied from using Lenire due to having depression or anxiety, I suspect that might be related to why it's not being recommended for servicemembers or veterans.

      @@DG-ie5ip VA gave me two sets of the TRT hearing aides, so I can wear them 24/7. Fighter jets caused my T, and first noted in 1980 when I failed the annual hearing test.. As time passes, my T gets louder and louder. The VA may be dragging their feet on the Lenire due to costs. At $4K per unit, the VA isn't funded for that. One of the largest groups of VA disability is Tinnitus.

      @@jdjk7 The funny thing is, loud Tinnitus causes depression and anxiety. Its possible anxiety and depression are excuses used as a means to avoid the expense. Im a member an online Tinnitus forum. Those who have the Lenire, mostly Europeans, rave over what the device has done for them. I'm beginning to believe some have ulterior motives for shooting down the Lenire, as they don't want to lose any current or future customers..... I mean patients.

      It's concerning when promising treatments are not accessible due to cost, especially if their effectiveness is not well-established. They have shown positive results for many individuals dealing with tinnitus.

    There is NO WAY I would ever try something like this -- especially if it could possibly make your tinnitus worse. I'll stick with the great Dr. Suzanne May of Treble Health who has helped me greatly in just 5-6 months. Also, most people (including me) have horrible anxiety when they develop tinnitus, so for Lenire to leave them out is not helpful. I started trauma therapy for my horrific anxiety/PTSD, and working with Dr. May of Treble health and my EMDR trauma therapist has lowered the volume of my tinnitus greatly. It's amazing. Also, I love my ReSound Hearing Aids/Maskers. This is what has worked for me. But it took me 4 years to find out this is what I needed. The various drs. I consulted with for 4 yrs. were worthless. Told me there was nothing I could do about it and learn to live with it. But I REFUSED to stop searching. SO GLAD I found Treble Health and Dr. May.
