March 30, 2021 at 3:10 PM, I left work, home, but after 800 m, at the junction of st. Repin and st. The car made the turn when the cyclist had little time left to press his brakes. I don't think the car had a blinker to signal to the cyclist he'd be making a turn. And most important of all; the cyclist had priority over the car by following the same road/lane when the driver was making a turn to get off this road (thereby crossing the cyclist's path). The car driver was most definitely wrong in this instance :(. The only thing I can blame on the cyclist is that it's not smart and safe for cyclists to go this fast on public roads. Many car drivers are not paying attention to cyclists and pedestrians and you're the one paying with your life for their mistakes.
Cut in front of cyclist, cause collision. Get of car, casually strolling whilst glancing at damage on car. Have a look at damaged bike. Go back for phone, call 911 Finally get around to asking if man laying in the road is "alright"
Actually if you look at the video, the biker hit the end of the vehicle. Meaning he had time to slow down but didn't so he's partially at fault for this.

Seems the car was trying to beat the bike, but misjudged the bikes speed. Which is easy to do (not defending, just stating). Or just didn't see them. The bike also seems to have thought the car would get all the way through, because it doesn't really seem they hit their breaks or tried to swerve (I could be wrong, just what I can see). The car is about to make a right turn also, not continue down the street, so it slowed a lot more than the bike probably anticipated. This is a good lesson in "be aware of your surroundings" you share the roads with many people and vehicles. Be safe everyone. Slow down as you approach an intersection, and be extra cautious. Breaks ready. It's a area with a high chance of unpredictable behaviour.
he's on a time trial or triathlon bike and with it being such a long flat open road odds are he was on the aero bars.
There are no breaks up there at the bike is much more difficult to control when it come to quick adjustments. Odds are he probably wasn't able to break and change direction effectively enough to prevent it.
@@joshwilliams4646 ah I couldn't see that. That makes sense.
@@joshwilliams4646 Riding these regularly, I agree with your take. I'm not suggesting it's his fault, but I try to practice defensive driving in these scenarios and get on the hoods, anticipating the Kia makes that turn.
Bike was out of control and smashed into the car with crazy force, he needs to slow down next time or he’ll really get hurt. I genuinely feel sorry for the poor lady. Must have shit herself when he came crashing into her. Slow down and look where your going. Why did he not even attempt to brake?
@@grahamkelly8662 why didn't the Kia waited for the cyclist to pass, then turn?
A blonde woman was driving that car
0:32 the dumbest question ever asked.

Why cant car drivers look before they turn?!! When will they learn
The cyclist was partially at fault
They just look at him lying there? Then swipe out their phones. How sad.
