yeah. on my bike i have a 500 lumen headlight and 300 luman tail light, a light on the back of my helmet, reflectors on my backpack, AND 7 feet of Light strings on both wheels and the frame. I got all that cause my headlight, and tail light went enough to get a SUV to not come within 3 feet of my at an intersection.

Based on his other videos, he doesn't wear a reflective vest at night. I doubt he has reflective lights on his bike and he doesn't wear a helmet? He can't be calling out other drivers or people if they have a hard time seeing him. A few of them are justified, most of it wasn't justified at all. Especially his night time joy ride. He's not careful at all and doesn't understand sometimes how difficult it is to see a cyclist especially when making a turn or especially driving at night. I'm an avid cyclist, and I wouldn't recommend this type of behavior to my fellow cyclist. I feel this dudes frustration, but you don't go out of your way to take on two plus tons of steel with angry behind the wheel. And what's up the confrontational attitude to all pedestrians. I mean, to get butthurt over some dude walking and looking at you? I have a 35 year old Cannondale in near perfect condition. Some dude stared at me once, so to break the ice, I gave him a friendly nod. He immediately say's, you know, you don't see too many bikes of that vintage, still in that kind of excellent shape. He was a bike guy also, and recognized the age of my bike. Next thing you know, nearly a half hour went by as we told our biking stories to each other. Not everyone out there hates us. We shouldn't go out of our way to make them.
I agree, especially in the US. Someday, all it takes is some guy with a really bad day to put you down with his 2 tons or even a gun. That's why police officers say that traffic stops are the most dangerous things to do, since you really can't know what the guy behind the wheel is thinking and maybe he is armed to the teeth and has a bad day. Best thing to always do is to just stick to yourself and mind your own business, since that is the only thing you can really control.

I actually got quite annoyed once when I was cycling, I was cycling close to the sidewalk and there was a car parked there so as a normal person I went to overtake it, but little did I know there was a pickup going past me so when I looked over my shoulder I saw it so I had to slow down and let it pass BUT THEN A VW POLO DRIVER ALSO DROVE PAST ME! It's like the Polo driver ignored me almost hitting that civic, I was right next to it, so be aware of your surroundings. Keep in mind this was a narrow road but I personally think that civic shouldn't have even parked there in the first place, at least go up the sidewalk with your wheels so someone doesn't get squished like that.

Based on his other videos, he doesn't wear a reflective vest at night. I doubt he has reflective lights on his bike and he doesn't wear a helmet? He can't be calling out other drivers or people if they have a hard time seeing him. A few of them are justified, most of it wasn't justified at all. Especially his night time joy ride.
He's not careful at all and doesn't understand sometimes how difficult it is to see a cyclist especially when making a turn or especially driving at night. Wear the proper gear and maybe they'll actually see him and make proper adjustments so that he will be safe. *Dress for the slide, not the ride*

I'm an avid cyclist, and I wouldn't recommend this type of behavior to my fellow cyclist. I feel this dudes frustration, but you don't go out of your way to take on two plus tons of steel with angry behind the wheel.
And what's up the confrontational attitude to all pedestrians. I mean, to get butthurt over some dude walking and looking at you? I have a 35 year old Cannondale in near perfect condition. Some dude stared at me once, so to break the ice, I gave him a friendly nod. He immediately say's, you know, you don't see too many bikes of that vintage, still in that kind of excellent shape. He was a bike guy also, and recognized the age of my bike. Next thing you know, nearly a half hour went by as we told our biking stories to each other. Not everyone out there hates us. We shouldn't go out of our way to make them.
I agree, especially in the US. Someday, all it takes is some guy with a really bad day to put you down with his 2 tons or even a gun. That's why police officers say that traffic stops are the most dangerous things to do, since you really can't know what the guy behind the wheel is thinking and maybe he is armed to the teeth and has a bad day.
Best thing to always do is to just stick to yourself and mind your own business, since that is the only thing you can really control.
As long as I can get through the day without getting injured or killed, good enough.

I actually got quite annoyed once when I was cycling, I was cycling close to the sidewalk and there was a car parked there so as a normal person I went to overtake it, but little did I know there was a pickup going past me so when I looked over my shoulder I saw it so I had to slow down and let it pass BUT THEN A VW POLO DRIVER ALSO DROVE PAST ME! It's like the Polo driver ignored me almost hitting that civic, I was right next to it, so be aware of your surroundings. Keep in mind this was a narrow road but I personally think that civic shouldn't have even parked there in the first place, at least go up the sidewalk with your wheels so someone doesn't get squished like that.
