Don’t even have to watch the video to know that. Getting as many hits in as possible as quickly as possible is what makes a handcannon so good with Lucky Pants. Not the damage perks.

@@bohba13 Warden's is definitely better though as it neither takes special ammo, or takes up your Exotic slot.
I do wish they'd buff Eriana's though, is has seriously been powercrept hard in multiple ways.
Wardens law got that high of damage cause all crits were hit. The first time, cross hit a body shot.

@@WGG-01yeah which would have been waay too OP if you could 2H/1B on demand. 120s with precision instrument aren’t even that good since final shot has to be a crit. New version of the perk is so much more tame. Only really usable in 6’s too

The best part about the argument of erianas vs wardens law, is that you can run both. Ones legendary kinetic the other is exotic solar. It also isn't a bad decision for gms this season with unstoppable handcannon and erianas has built in antibarrier.
It's painful to play LP with 2 HC. Really painful

Being as most times you would use this in a boss damage phase, you should have showed off malfeasance with someone tagging it with wither hoard to show the true power of it against a taken enemy. I feel as if it’s not blighted or a taken enemy, malfeasance is only at 77% capacity.
With it's 25% extra damage Vs taken, malfeasance would come in at 690,105. That's is damage of 552,084 x 1.25 for the extra 25% damage buff
if boss is taken use malfeasance if it’s not use wardens law simple and easy. witherhoard is a straight damage loss if your using it for dps still your doing shit very wrong.
To further increase dps you can run stasis with the fragment that reloads your wepon on stasis melee hits allowing even quicker reloads and maximizing dps
I love my 7th seraph revolver with reconstruction and vorpal.Its my favorite with lucky pants.
Imagine a hand cannon with cascade point in the future, that would be wild!
AlSO people tend to FORGET that malfeasance burrowing shots have NO dmg drop off so you can damn basically use the gun like a scout rifle which is REALLY NICE, plus it has intrinsic unstoppable
The mag howl buff at 10x disappeared from the screen after the first shot even though there was room for it on the side. Not sure if that is just a visual bug or if something actually bugged and took away mag howl buff. Might be worth testing again, maybe against a not mag howl luna to see if the damage is different.
You can see the damage number go down after the 10th shot so it was definitely working.

Erianas was actually really surprising, I haven't used it in ages but if I remember correctly it has auto loading for it's catalyst might be able pair it up with apex to match surge mods and something like succession or supermacy in the kinetic slot for when the buff runs out. Gonna have to do my own testing
it’s not worth you will do 2-3x as much with simply dragons breath and wardens law.
My fave old school hand cannot was Better Devils.
something i tried out with the legendary kinetic weapons was run eriana's vow for special and I was shocked to see that it would reset the timer every time you swap in between the 2 hand canons with lucky pants on
You saying the buff stayed up longer than ten sec? Or the cooldown kept getting reset?
@@andrewji1190it didnt go away and even though it said out of luck was active as well it didn't take away from the damage, it was just something i noticed the other day and will prolly test it out more
@@DecafHobgoblin5if you are referring to the "illegally modded holster" buff, that relates to the handling and swap speed granted which will stay if you are swapping between hand cannons, the damage bonus is a different buff and if you're in "out of luck" then that buff is over.
@@enkerman i had never used it before and i'm glad they are revamping the buff section on the screen since this whole time i just thought the modded holster was the whole buff put together since the damage boost thing never shown for me due to buff clutter
@@DecafHobgoblin5the damage boost is a priority buff meaning it will go tot the top of everything, you didn’t see it because you tried to use two hand cannons with luck pants💀 it’s always on cooldown

I was kinda hoping you'd do timelost fatebringer vs midnight coup and zaoulies bane! Those are my main handcannons all the time but idk if it's worth running something else and if timelost trumps midnight coup etc
Precision Instrument is just better, gives it the ability to 3 tap at further ranges to complete with 120s. I personally hate perks that require a kill for the gun to be good.

Slideshot max range with p.i roughly makes it 3 tap at 36m i think.

Luna’s 3 taps in PvP by itself with no buff. it’s a 140 now. i was using it last night and it melts. MH makes it a 2 tap if you can get 2 MH bullets loaded.
Honestly for something like champions where you have a few mag howls loaded it could be pretty good because that initial first few bullets hits hard as hell
Is it possible to prime eriana's with a few shots of wardens law to build up the buff quicker before hitting the big numbers with eriana's?
I have that Vorpal/4th times roll on adept warden's. Good stuff.
4th times is unnecessary if you have extended mag lol, you have just enough bullets to fire until the buff goes away
So just curious what the Warden's Law roll is that he's using? Definitely looks like something worth farming for
I found out if you get one taps with magnificent howl with subsistence you can have the same amount of stacks as long as you keep hitting crit kills
It's not just with subsistence. Magnificent Howl replenishes a stack of it's buff if you get a precision kill. So even at just one stack you could use it infinitely if all of your shots are 1 tap precisions.

Just wanted to add that champions are now classified as bosses and the boss spec does more damage to them whereas the major spec doesn't affect them
is there a reason you never tag him with witherhoard while doing malf damage? does that not scale up malf damage bc of the taken interaction?
Are these with Catalyst (exotics) and I guess I should ask if it makes any difference

Erianas vow that high is interesting but all the more reason to pair merciless with wardens law and a good heavy option for DPS.
Honestly I was thinking pair wardens w erianas plus a envious/cascade GL to blow your load after you’re out of luck
I remember when Fatebringer was the meta, it was your go-to HC for PVE
Having high cal, explosive rounds and firefly eliminated red to yellow bars no questions asked. Perhaps Bungie didn’t want that again for D2 so HCs like that are honestly never used. Midnight and Luna’s are great HCs, but I feel like their stats needed to be bumped up or better perks needed to be on them, to spice up their damage. Can Luna roll incandescent frenzy together? If so wow if not, there you go. Oh well, hopefully FS makes HCs great again in PVE or why bother when rocket side arms exist or Warden’s

Doesn’t Malfeasance do more damage to both Taken AND enemies affected by Witherhoard? Would have liked to see Malfeasance damage numbers on Templar after someone shoots it with Witherhoard.

The double burst is oh so good and I can’t wait to get the new one which is Arc in FS. If you ever see Warden’s in the NF rotation in the next 5 weeks, grind it out. Coup and Howl are still great weapons in PVE but looks like they’re still meant for PVP. Warden’s gets the damage out fast as possible which is what you want when eliminating enemies quick…or Sunshot. You don’t want a rocket that kinda kills a room of enemies, but DOES kill a room of enemies. Maybe a buff to 140’s against PVE enemies? Like a 40% buff or something
Gotta get a Trust with Triple Tap and Frenzy or Vorpal. Currently testing one with triple tap and golden tricorn

After finally getting the godroll shiny for Luna in PVE…I just default back to warden’s law 😅
And I WANTED this gun, it’s kinda like “would people still love these weapons despite being nerfed into smithereens in the past?” so about that…maybe they should’ve kept their original power or we’ll just default to our other godrolls or crafted weapons 🙃

About as expected for Luna's Howl. Never meant to be a DPS powerhouse. Meant to be a healing & trash-killing monster with Heal Clip & Incandescent, which I am still hunting for. But I'm gonna get it baby, especially since I found meself a Heal Clip & Incandescent Helio this week, YAAAAH!

What's good for pvp?
I grinded out a heal clip + incan luna's and it's not that great. Healing from reloading just isn't as strong as resto x1. Just use Zauoli's, if you want to a solar HC
Maybe Luna would be better off, off of a solar subclass but at that point you have no synergy. And for anyone that brings up benevolence, unless your still holding tight onto your starfire idc ability spam is crazy already.
I got heal clip incandescent first wave 10 clear this week right at reset and havent switched off it lol. The artifact mods make lunas howl so damn good with the ignitions, i even used it in pantheon and literally had zero problems cleared pantheon with ease
You should try to get a full mag of magnificent howl, with the slidshot perk you can rack up 12 stacks, id love to see the damage of that
Stack maxed for me at 10 with Slideshot. Do you have a mag or mod to increase your mag size? If so, then likely Magnificent Howl is tied to your base mag size.

Yea, but what about specifically solar hand cannons that use primary ammo? Kinetic is cool and all, but what if you need a solar to go with your build, such as a precious scars titan, where you NEED matching damage to proc the heals?

I use a randomized luna roll with enlightened action and incandescent I wasn’t too happy with the curated roll

Cross is right when he says to use malf on taken, but it also gets the buff on blighted enemies (enemies hit by witherhoard). Assuming witherhoard is always on the target, cross’s dmg on templar would have been *around 690,105* (25% buff)
Now whats better, wardens law with anarchy, or malf against a taken enemy?

Basically for lucky pants it needs fast fire rate and big mag, if it doesn’t have those it’s most certainly not beating the competition also completely off topic, 270 degrees side question, how much is the sturm and stress dmg increase in both pvp and pve, just feel like using it again on the general topic of handcannons but i can’t seem to find the dmg increase of overcharged rounds and i’m no good with math
You should have someone else use witherhoard when testing malfeasance as that triggers the taken enemy damage buff

It's honestly sad that a legendary primary beats an exotic special either buff erianas or nerf wardens law
PERSONALLY sure wardens does more damage *on its own* but in a legit dps scenario where ur doing weapon swapping and what not erianas is better due its autoloading catalyst. slap on a fusion with autoloading and some damage perk (i use riptide with autoloading/chill clip or vorpal but tbh there could be better not sure), and a good ol apex with recon/bns. start off with erianas > one burst of riptide > go to apex > go back to erianas > rinse and repeat. by the time u switch to erianas u should have lucky pants recharged. often i dealt the most dps and its easy to remember. but maybe im biased cause its one of my fav guns lol

@@Aurkus23 from my understanding explosive on every weapon except sweet business deals a percentage of the bullet’s dmg as the explosion, but sometimes explosions count as a second hit so it would be at best 30% of the dmg stays same but the rest ramps up with lucky pants twice as fast but not like crimson or warden’s law, dunno if it would matter
@@hardluckmk.52In PvE, explosive payload is a straight up 12.5% dmg buff to bodies and 15% to crits, that being said, Midnight Coup wouldn't be a candidate, KT isn't that much of a big change and you have to dump 3/4 of it's mag just to procc it and it being a 140 also works against it, 180s benefit most from Lucky Pants because of the fast fire rate
