Which scooter should we compare the Ghost to in our next Scooter Showdown video? Let us know in the comments and we'll make it happen!
Rion
Kaabo Skywalker? One of the dual motor ones, except the 1000w x2 scooters.
I await my Ghost!!!!
No, maybe the 1000w too. :P
That’s tough one. It seems that the Ghost is in its own class for the money.
Great job @chuck @ramier @paul @trina @richard , awesome video , quality is really great and this 👻 Ghost scooter looks Legit! Can’t wait to see what’s next for ESG
Thanks so much David!
Great review guys. I'm in Australia and just picked up my Apollo Ghost yesterday, 1 in 2 in the country for the time being. Coming from an Inokom 3 Quick, the Ghost is levels and levels above in every single way. I'm used to doing an easy 35km/h but the Ghost does 55km/h with ease. The acceleration is frightenly quick but is super sturdy. It is super quiet, the suspension is spot on, the deck nice and large and the resting foot pad on the back is strong and stable. I'm not sure if different countries receive different variants; the only difference I noticed on my Ghost compared to the ones on UA-cam are that the control panel on mine is a generic red like on some Kaabo's and not blue with the Apollo branding. The other noticeable difference on mine was based on initial feedback about not enough griptape on the deck. Apollo revised this by reducing the size of the Apollo branding and moved the placement and added a middle row of grip compared to the massive Apollo branding in the middle and 2 outer strips of grip.
That's great to know about the grip tape. I hope this is an update on all of the newer Ghosts.
when did you orders yours to be able to have it already
i order mine on the 19th of Jan and it says shipped by March 1st....
@@patrick19Xbl I ordered through a local distributor who was lucky enough to have 2 Ghosts in his January shipment. Ordered Jan 21st and landed a week later.
@@patrick19Xbl I got my Ghost today and ordered it January 14th. DId you get your yet?
If you're looking for a GREAT scooter to compare this too, PLEASE do the Apollo Phantom - It's releasing for pre-order in 10 days and looks like an amazing upgrade from the Ghost, but I'd need to see a side-by-side review to compare it!
Waited for 2 months ! They were out of stock, now i just received mine !! It is Amazing.
Definitely an awesome scooter!
-Vosk
Just got my ghost, love it. will be adding lots of rides and contenct on my channel. :) happy scootin
Great review on a great scooter! If I were in the market I would put this top of my list for a power scooter under $2K.
You and me both!
Heavy 64 pound / 29 kg
27 kg max for 23-25 preferably.
In the video were you testing the mechanical brake version or hydraulic brake version?
put 1 hundred miles on mine and love it. 35 mph no prob distance not bad at all i am 220 po. took home in trunk. bot used 250 kil. mint condish, it is a steel beast , i am 57 and extremely experienced dirt, road and track ghost for downtown to blow em away , and higher for shits and giggles.
Do you know what happened to the Apollo Ultra? It’s been taken off their website for a few months.
is it possible to put bigger motors on this if you want too ??
Great review.
Glad you enjoyed it
Was the range compared to the Mantis base with a 18.2ah battery?
So why is the turbo wheel not lightning not included in this comparison? Is it safe to say that its not up
To par in quality?
This seems a pretty good upgrade to the Inokim OX Hero/Super if it's 1500$ it's quite cheaper even than the Hero and just 4kg more. Is it going to be sold in the EU?
Best review yet. I think I just bought the last Ghost on their site. It was sold out within 30 mins of my order.
Awesome! Enjoy your new ride. -Vosk
Its the VDM-10 by unicool if anyone wants to buy direct and save some cash
@DASO MILITIA nah, I've heard that, even with Apollo, people wait months for replacement parts to ship from China. All Apollo does is stick an Apollo sticker on the Unicool, and sells them for profit.
I'm curious what do you think about the Nan robot lightning
Why haven't you done a review on Varla eagle??? Which should I get between Varla eagle or Apollo ghost?
What's your daily driver? I'm torn between the ghost and the emove ceuiser
This is so cool 👍👍👍
When someone mentions 'controller' are they referring to the QS-S4 / EY3 throttle "controllers" or are they referring to the electronic speed controller (AKA electric component responsible for sending current pulses to the motor)?
Could be either
Hey great video. Just wondering if you can share your thoughts on it’s portability. If you were to take in on a train and had to collapse and carry it a flight or two of stairs, would you say it’s manageable? Let me know thanks!
Like most dual motor scooters, it's not the most portable thing for sure. I wouldn't want to carry it up two flights of stairs. One would be my limit. I'd probably take it on a train if it weren't too crowded. -Paul
This could well be my next ride... looking for something like this for when spring rolls round!
Spring rolls, that’s a great idea for lunch. Thx Lucas.
just got my Ghost today!!
Anyone know where to find that brown and black suit the guy is wearing in the video? I need that
Awesome 👌
Did Apollo say that they were going to have a different controller for the Ghost available at a later date to make it "ludicrous"?
Awesome!
Bro, I finally convinced my parents to buy me the Apollo Ghost, I used your amazing guides as part of my case. Thank you so much for making my dreams come true!
Great to hear!
Do you have it yet?
Hi.Did you get the Ghost? Thx.
yeh i got it
its incredible and is loads of fun to ride
Ghost looks great! Not a huge fan of the previous original Apollo color scheme. I bought my MWWP from Apollo over their models strictly based on apprearance. Black and white is my style and BADASSSS!
The new ghost /23 upgrade nearly or as good as the phantom v3!!! The Ghost is only 29kg-63.934lbs.
Phantom is 77lbs=35kg
The upgraded Ghost now has thumb throttle & left hand throttle Reagan brakes too..
~98% equal !!! Cost less too.
i was going to get the phantom but this breakdown i liked it cant wait to ride it
@TheWhateverGuy that why i got This the phantom looked good but i felt the same on the breakdown
“About as much fun as you can have for $1500”
Well...I can think of a few things.
touché
That to me is a lot of money for something that you cannot do any long distance travel on. I want to go wherever I want and not having to be concerned about how much juice I have left before I'm pushing the damn thing.
@@christinefilas9392 60km isn't enough distance????
@@christinefilas9392 if you want more you'll have to pay for an absurdly expensive scoot , or at that point - a motorcycle lol
That's a lot of range for the price. You will feel tired after 30km anyway
Thats why added an external battery on my speedway 4, 30.ah + 20.8ah, idk how far i can go never tried it, but ig arround 150km. It works for any scooter if u know how.
Watched your livestream last night and this review today TRYING to distract myself while I wait for my new Ghost to get shipped but you guys make it sound so AWESOME it’s only making it worse!! 😫
I’m in the same boat man! Can’t wait to get it! Super hyped!!

@@ratchfordgeorge Congratulations!! Mine’s apparently 6 days away 🥳🥳
@@GetToZeeChoppa Great!! the scooter crazy sexy!! i was a little intimidated when i took it out of the box but, will ride in in a few days.
How does it compare to the Varla Eagle One?
Is the suspension adjustable?
Anyone have an opinion on how the nanrobot d4+ compares?
Hi would you recommend the ghost or the phantom ludicrous as a first scooter im new to all this .any help would be much appreciated 🙏
I would choose the phantom! It’s better. You can use code ESG100PHANTOM to get $100 off your purchase if interested. -Vosk
At the price point what's the Ghost vs Remove Cruiser... Similar price point.. is that mileage loss worth the speed gain?
When are we getting a comparison with the Phantom?
I hope Apollo City gets a version 2 similar to the design of the Apollo Ghost. That would be the one worth buying!
prayers have been answered
Well i would be interested in a comparison to the Nanrobot D4+ . ( i think it is hte same as sooter S13. especially as i am looking to purchase something soon !!
Or the Dualtron 2 - unless it has different names ?
This ghost is very under rated i hit 40 mph im 160lbs this thing is a tank this scooter is worth the money its so comfortable and with a super clamp its rides like a Cadillac smooth
Yes! I agree! -Paul
Is it worth buying insurance on it? How durable is the Ghost? thank you
Did you experience any stiffness in the steering out of the box? If so, did you do anything to address it? Thanks!
There is a notch in the stem that works itself out after a bit. Paul actually did something to get ours out quicker and I can ask him if you like.
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide I would love that, thank you! Mine has mostly worked itself out but still feels a little “notchy”
hi just to clarify my doubts. i heard apollo had only 12 months of warranty on the ghost, unlike other scooters. but you mentioned 24 months. please correct me if i am wrong
How much miles does yours currently have?
i was wondering if you put a high powered bike light say (1200 lumens) on the scooter and connect it with the usb under the control unit, would that have any significant drain on the battery?
I don't think you can draw enough power through the USB port. Best to use a self-contained light with it's own battery, though it is a pain to have to remember to charge it. The Apollo Phantom has it's own built in 1000 lumen headlight.
Phantom review here: ua-cam.com/video/Xq3AOOs-Fbk/v-deo.html
Zero 9 vs Segway Ninebot Max would be an interesting match up. Btw thank you SO MUCH for putting in KG and Kilometres 🐱👍
Matchup noted! And yes, all our videos should be in metric as well as imperial from now on. Don't want to leave anyone out.
Whats this about water on front wheel being bad?
how does it compare to the Gotway Dten which is more powerful and has a seat same price point.
Just out of curiosity, the Base Mantis and the Ghost are similar weights, so what makes a dual 800 watt motor scoot go faster than a dual 1000 watt? Is it efficiency, controller, or peak power?
Voltage = top speed. Motors are also different, some motors have high rpm (higher top speed) and some motors have higher torque (better acceleration)
The Mantis (base) has a 60 volts motor and 2 x 1000 w and the Ghost a 52 volts motor and 2 x 800 w, how can it be faster? Or why is is faster?
@@donl3130 60V mantis has always been a dissapointment in terms of performance. Mantis has one of the worst top speed for a 60V scooter. Mantis motors should last long though😃 I think the ghost is pushed to limits and might be the fastest 52V scooter I know. Probably has high rpm and pretty good torque but it will heat more easily
Okay. Probably that. Then one has to ride it more economically or be ready to replace the motor more often? lol
Maybe the guys from Apollo could explain...
@@donl3130 I dont think anyone will have problems with the motors but if either one dies first its defo the ghost motor.. I dont know but if the ghost has sine wave controllers then that could also explain the higher top speed. Sine wave controllers are more efficient and can make your scooter have little bit higher top speed
This product is perfect for all people can buy it not over prices :) this product is perfect for philippines market a lot of people will surely buy it i hope u bring that thing here in the philippines, the price is can aford to any people rich or poor can still buy it some others product the price is over price is like buying a motor bike but this is the perfect price and i like it speed and power combine plus a $1500 dollar only people here in the philippines will surely buy this 300 million pilipino people will buy this product for sure :)
I need a review on the Nanobot D6 plus please and compare to the Ghost!
That's that I'm deciding... What did you get?
Theres mostly 2 important things i always look on every video and its , whats the range and speed of every mode you say 22 mile range is that on single motor or dual? Please be specific in this area wich is the only reason i watch a scooter video, this video still left me in doubt. Im not sure wich one to buy.
All range tests are done in the fastest modes (the way we'd actually ride them ourselves). The 22.3 miles of range was done at an average speed of 19.7 mph on the same semi-urban test loop we do all our range tests on. Hope this helps.
I am considering this but will likely wait for the new apollo phantom
We're really looking forward to that scooter as well. Could be another game changer.
Got my Ghost today. The phantom would be too much weight wise. The Ghost is built like a tank
Hey peeps whats your recommendation nanrobot scooter d6 or apollo ghost? Thanks :)
I'd go Ghost. Nanrobot isn't as widely distributed or supported. We just don't hear that much about them these days. -Paul
But how does it compare to the ghost or explore ? No videos on that :(
I can't wait to get my hands on one of these, I've had to use my shitty electric longboard to get to work and it only goes 25km/h, is loud as hell on bumpy paths, is easy to fall off with bad conditions, can't ride in wet conditions, has low battery life, and is just not reliable. This scooter will solve ALL of the problems I'm having. I already have an aftermarket headlight to put on it and am planning on getting a Bell Transfer-9 helmet.
As someone without a license and not planning on getting one anytime soon, this thing will give me SO much freedom. Stuff that would take me 20 minutes to ride to on my electric longboard and then not have enough juice to get back will take me 5 minutes to get to on this scooter and I'll be able to go back and forth 10 times before the battery runs out.
Hyyyyyyyyyyyyyyped
Ya ordené uno 🤩.... Haber que tal...!!
Help me understand the variety of scooter suspension types better. I see a bunch of different configurations like springs, shocks and spring arms on both front and back.
Help yourself.
Thanks
How's the range on dual-motor mode versus single-motor? Any significant difference?
We didn't test range in single motor, but have seen significant differences on other scooters (Wolf Warrior). We don't recommend running at sustained high speeds or up long hills in single motor though, as it stresses out the motor controller and motor. -Paul
Hi! I have a Ghost. 165 miles in three weeks. Longest single trip has been 15 miles. For the sake of the scooter I’d say that cruising on flats up to 20mph is just fine in single motor. I’m 6’2” and 240lbs. What I noticed more was speed. The slower I went as far as sustained speed the better it seemed. I generally just stay dual motor full time and use eco mode mainly for its speed limit of 15mph. After that 15 mile trip of mixed down/up and flat I still had roughly 30% battery left. That’s been consistent across similar length broken trips I’ve done as well.
Side note, the Ghost hauled me up a 20% grade that was probably 200 linear feet with only a 25ft flat head start from a stop sign. I was only going 4mph at the top but it got me there! I can run 25mph up 6-8% grades.
Is 22mi range for the Ghost considered the range of full speed consistently?
We test about 20mph average speed!
Coolest video as always but the instrumental sounded soooo god 😭does anyone know what it’s called
Ghost Vs Varla? Thoughts?
Awesome video
How is this off road... And how do you compare to the nanrobot d6+
Deciding between the two, what's your thoughts
Apollo ghost or Nanrobot D6+?
Using : Non city, around Beach area, off road trails, back roads around town in NJ
Which one did you go with bro? Im stuck with this same dilemma. Either Nanrobot D6+ or Apollo Ghost. Thought about Varla EagleOne too, but ruled them out since they are replicas and dated scooters. Unless theyncome out with a new one.
I am getting really bad after purchase customer care. I got a ghost and it came with some issues, I want to return it becos I simply can't accept a faulty item, either I get a replacement or I offered to pay to upgrade to the Phantom. Customer care agent said they cannot take it back even if there is 1km on the meter - which is my case, and I can assure it is impossible for me to have done 1km as I only did one small test drive on the basement of my building, which has cctv - and on assembling instructions they will ask you to turn on the scooter and do a test to see if wheels and brakes are working, meaning that mileage will register on the meter and they can claim it is not longer unused. They want me to keep the faulty ghost and help me fix the issues one by one - which i appreciate - but i have no obligation of keeping an item that came with defects, not to mention it was purchased online, how can they tell me we cannot test drive to verify the existence of issues?
The Ghost is a beautiful scooter
I never see difficulty in changing intertubes. Are they all the same?
Or finding replacements?
Would you like us to add that to the reviews in the future? What exactly would you like to see?
Easy if your scooter has split rims. Try changing anything w/o split rims. Not fun!
Yea I hate pneumatic tires solid tires are the way to go but changing them can be a real pain
Yes the difficulty to replace tubes should be considered
There is a scooter in Spain that is the same but with motors of 1000w, its called Skateflash XL
Can someone tell me if the Ghost and the Phantom are one and the same scooter(s).
they arent, phantom isn't even available for preorder yet ghost will be shipping out by the end of the month
i want to buy another scooter, thinking on this one, the mantis or the turbowheel lighting, could you guys do review plssss?!
Omg those three was also in my to buy list lol
Apollo has the best warranty, the Mantis has a 60v battery which gives even the base Mantis a great range, and the Turbowheel is just a Zero 10x rebranded (I'd even look at the Varla Egale One as It has a lower price and hydraulic brakes with a 2 year warranty but the same Zero 10x Hardware).
well now i gotta buy one
Do a review on the Nanrobot D6+ and lightning.
No point in asking that because they won't review Nanrobot scooters anymore. Chuck is cool and all, but I do feel he sticks his nose up at Nanrobot because of some issues with the D5+ they had reviewed before. It's a shame really because Nanrobot has stepped up their game since then.
@@chrisb.1214 Shame since nanrobot is probably the best scooter for the price. Lightning is better than the ghost and the D6+ is better than the Apollo Pro.
cool vid, maybe lower the volume a bit in the intro?

Hi Sir ,thank you for video
Question - what is it’s current price ?
Question - comparison between Varla Eagle and Apollo Ghost ?
Question - how consistently it goes 40 miles with full charge with single power source ( no change in battery ) with 130 pounds weight ?
Thanks in advance
Price is between $1400 and $1500!
@electricscooterguide compare it to the Apollo 52v pro. Seams like an even match but you are paying more for the pro even tho the ghost seams to outperform it. I believe a Compare should be done to justify the extra money the pro demands. Thanks
The 52v Pro has been discontinued
C'mon. How is this better than the Skywalker 10S+ ? 2000 watts, 60V dual motor for 1399? Or even the base Mantis?
Hard to buy a skywalker. Been oos for ages.
@@justskot guess you're right..
I really like the Skywalkers but the lack of room on the deck is a deal-killer for me. I think some people might be able to get used to it, but with more power, a deck with room is a must have in my book.
Excited for a Ghost/Phantom A:B! Especially for the big dawg.
Compare the Apollo Ghost against the Vsett 9+ please.
Are there any coupon codes for the Ghost? SO hard to not buy this with the anticipation of the new Phantom! May just have to replace the WW Pro :)
Yeaaaa i need pricing info on the phantom! It’s between that, the ghost, or a vsett 9+ (seems to be what the phantom is based on).
@@justskot Around 2k.
On another post, with ESG, or in the discussion they said it would be in the Pro price range.
@@donl3130 Right, with the ghost replacing the entry pro and the rest priced at 1850-3300, 2k is around what it will cost.
Tubeless tyres would make this an even better scooter. My understanding they designed this from the ground up, I would be interested to know why they chose tubes over tubeless.
Apollo doesn’t design anything. These are designed and manufactured by Titan in China. Apollo puts their name on them.
I believe the tradeoff was being able to have split-rims.
The Ghost has split rims which will make it easier to change than tubeless. With tubeless, you would have to use a tire iron and perhaps another person to help. Also, i believe you shouldn't put tire sealant in tubeless tires
Tubeless is a pain in the ass, Also the tires are extremely flat proof according to people that have them.
@@mct8888 curious why on their website then does it say they are designed in Montreal, Canada?
Can we get a versus video between the top $2000 scooters! Specifically the Vsett 10+ (25ah) vs Mantis v2 Pro vs Apollo Phantom!?
We will try our best
Would you say it’s light enough to be lifted up stairs ?
Not too many stairs. It also depends how you carry it up stairs. Do you fold it and carry it with one hand by the stem, two hands by the stem or embrace the undercarriage
Any plans to review the Vsett 10+ when it's available?
The “brother” gives a nice 👍 street/real account of the scooter
It’s a great scooter!

Ghost or Cruiser? Main reason why? I’m pulling the trigger soon!
I wonder why the top speed you got is higher than the advertised top speed of 34mph? Usually it’s the other way around.
What range do you get with single motor-eco mode with the ghost? I am contemplating to get either the ghost or cruiser. What turns me on with the ghost is the addional power, when it is needed, specially in hill climbs. What’s turning me off is the range. If it goes a lot more with single motor eco, i am sold!
Yup same thing here i wanted to know not sure ghost or emove cruiser 50mile range nothing beats that and the mantis 10 too dam expensive, and zero 10x alot of speed but no range and its slow acceleration.
Just got my Ghost today. i was contemplating the cruiser but when i unboxed the Ghost i said holy shi**t. sexier than all get out. The Cruiser's styling to me is outdated. The range is the best thing about the Cruiser. i ride mostly in Manhattan and you can only go but so fast however, i live in New jersey and provides more opportunities to let it rip!!
@@ratchfordgeorge Congratulations on your new toy. I am still waiting for my Ghost. What range are you getting?
@@richard76rama haven't ridden it yet
@@richard76rama I received mine last week. On single motor, eco mode, I've been able to eek out about 42 miles in a single ride.
In the UK Apollo make bikes budget bikes is this the same company?
Nope
They're not into e-bikes.
It's a nice scooter, but I think as far as entry level goes, the Vsett 9+ is going to shake it up as an entry level dual motor scooter. I never wanted one before but I want that one.
Looking forward to checking that scooter out.
Do you think 34mph from the Ghost is enough for a rush and to get somewhere in a timely manner ? I’m debating on the Vsett 10+ for this reason and I’m convinced that the Apollo Ghost 34mph top speed is too slow for everyday use. Thoughts?? Feel free to change my mind and save me money
@@MagicMikeBilliards Depends; if it’s inner city it defo is. If not for inner city go faster (:

Do they do hydraulic brakes?
Hydraulic brakes are optional, but lately the lead time for scooters with hydraulic brakes has been longer. -Paul
My eldest has the 2022 Ghost. And while yes, it's a great scooter, some serious WTFs I got from it were...
-Kickstand is poorly designed in the way it attaches to the body.
-No built in headlight... really??
-No turn signals.... guess safety isn't a big thing?
-Good luck getting parts for it in Australia. Either the process is long and painful ( I have to make a request, can't just find them on the site we got it from), or order from the US, and they won't ship here.
And for paying $2400 (AUD), these all seem like things that should be built in, and safety should be a higher priority than it appears to be.
Thanks for the feedback!
Does it have cruise control
I believe so!
Where can to Buy it apollo
Try going to their website.
No battery test time?
What is the battery test time? Are you referring to the range test?
I'd love to see this scooter compared to the Varla eagle one. Thanks
That would be a good comparison, but Varla just raised the price by $100, the handlebars don’t fold in and the Eagle One is marketed as a off road scooter.
