I love my Apollo Pro, but it feels more like a motorcycle than the "carving" feeling I get on my tiny 350w scooter. Don't get me wrong I love my Pro. But I think the Ghost might give me the "skiing/snowboarding/skating" feeling of carving I like.
I'm gonna have to own 3-4 scooters to do everything I want, and this is likely going to be one of them.
Everyone has a favourite scooter because each are great at different things. But the Ghost is definitely a wonderful hybrid. And you can still do some "carving" on the Pro ;-)
I just bought a ghost and waiting for it to ship. I was going to get the pro but only the 52V version was in stock as of 12/1. Spec wise the ghost didn’t seem too far off from the 52V pro, so I hope I made the right decision and the ghost doesn’t disappoint. Can’t wait to try it out. Also can’t wait to see what the phantom is all about. 👍🏽💪🏽

Hey @erjray14 ! Phantom is going to be a higher spec, faster and bigger scooter - it really depends if you're looking for something portable or extreme? The next Phantom news will most likely be in 2 weeks :)

The video was shot on a model of the Ghost that we honestly run into the ground for testing purposes.

Do you think 34mph from the Ghost is enough for a rush and to get somewhere in a timely manner ? I’m debating on the Vsett 10+ for this reason and I’m convinced that the Apollo Ghost 34mph top speed is too slow for everyday use. Thoughts?? Feel free to change my mind and save me money

Can we split the rim to change the tires like the city?
Yes you can split the rim, it’s more like the pro because you can’t easily disconnect the motor like the city.
I really considered the ghost, because of the dual motors and price, but maybe even the svelt 65ish lbs is a bit much to carry 2 flights.

We have a new model called the Phantom coming out in 2021. It will really be something special. It has more in common with our Pro model than the Ghost.

Worth the brake upgrade to hydraulic?
What's the lowest tempeature you can ride at? Will the battery die if it's too cold out? Just wondering, I'm new to scootering
Great question.
You can absolutely ride your scooter in the winter. However, the battery life will suffer. That being said, we're based out of Montreal, and people ride their Apollo Scooters in some brutal temperatures lol. Just be mindful that the battery will drain quicker. Also, be sure to keep the body clean because salt will do more damage than the cold.

I am one of the people who has been eyeing for the Pro but could not justify the cost. I was thinking of getting the Explore, then the Ghost was announced. I think I will keep an eye on the Ghost instead. A few questions: Are the brakes hydraulic? Will the deck have the same kind of anti-slip surface as seen in other Apollo scooter lineup? Hope to see more demo videos of Ghost.

Great questions! The brakes are regular disc brakes, but we found them to be perfectly adequate for the performance - if you check the braking stats, they rival those of scooters with hydraulic brakes. As for the grip tape, the unit in the video is an early demo which had the anti-slip stickers removed. The production units arriving this month will have two anti-slip stickers applied to the deck. Hope this helps!
Is the Ghost the same as the Phantom scooter? If they're different, should I wait for the Phantom - what are it's specs?
They are very different scooters. The Phantom has more in common with our Pro model.
The Ghost offers a great ride. However, if you look at the our current Pro specs want that, you should wait :-)

Style reminds me of my Mercane MX60, or maybe it's just the color, it has the same handlebar though. I've been jumping off sidewalks and going over potholes in NYC with no problems. 👌

I live in NYC too. Upper East Side and I got the Kaabo Skywalker 8S from Kreomotors.com and it's my first scooter as well. Had it since April of last year tho, and I put on 1222 miles since I got it lol, and had no problems with it at all!! Im actually a little more then impressed by this fact really, since its a scooter with less performance as it only has one motor of 800watts and cost me $850 only. Top speed is 25mph and for that small of a motor, it's plenty. As of right now, im looking at the Eonmotors Blade 10 Pro listed on the kreomotors.com site for $1500 only, but the specs on this scooter offer more value for its price than the Apollo Ghost. Dual Motors 1200watts each, hydraulic brakes, awesome lights and side blinkers also, which is rare on a scooter actually, loud electronic horn, not that "ding-ding" bicycle bell lol which doesn't fit aesthetically on an electric scooter by the way, and pretty much it comes loaded with everything else the other scooters in its league have, except with the Blade 10 you get the best bang for your buck @ $1500! No other scooter on the market so far exists, that can offer more or cost less and be equipped with everything the Blade 10 was born with!! And believe me.....i checked!! So in 2 weeks, im making a purchase baby!!! I don't know why, but I'm more excited thinking about it, than I was when I bought my previous car a 2011 Scion Xb lmfaoo!! Weird...
Looks nice, just wish this came out sooner. Have the Apollo Explore for 2 months now. Love it but would have chosen this one instead for the added power.

Just curious, is it okay too leave scooters like this outside in really cold temperatures without damaging the battery or anything?
Like your phone. If you leave it in -30 it will damage the battery. Best to keep it at room temperature - Randy

I got me Emove Cruiser 2 weeks ago or 52 miles ago. Single 1000w nominal 1600w max
At first it felt fast, and truth be told it still does feel great, on the flat at 200lbs 27mph down a slight hill 31
Will this Ghost smoke my Emove?

This looks identical to the VDM-10 scooter by Unicool. Did they co-engineer this design with you??
I think the ghost is just a rebranded one. This is all these scooters ever are, unfortunately.
We have some great stuff in the pipeline, including a scooter that is all our own. You won't find it anywhere else :-)

No seat. But once you hop on you wouldn't want to sit down anyway!
I ended up sending back the seat i ordered for the Explore - really didn't want it after a few rides.
Comme to Terrebonne and Mascouche there’s 3 or 4 hill that if it can climb that then il be impressed 😜 and bring a camera to film it or il bring mine 😎🤙

Can you upgrade to hydraulic brakes?
Hi Brian, we don't offer that. However, the Ghost brakes are the same as on our Pro model. So check out the Zero 10x hydraulic kit.
Within the Apollo lineup, would the Ghost be the Explore upgrade? I’d like the next iteration of the Explore, but I don’t need the Pro/ludicrous performance level.
Glad winter is here, more time to see what’s next, since the Ghost is shipping till March 2021 per pre-order schedule.
The Ghost is an upgrade over the Explore. But it's also not the Pro/Ludicrous. She's nestled right in the middle as a great option for those looking for an entry level dual motor scooter.

I don’t mind too much if I can leave it in the hallway, but it is an unsecured area, and it is tempting to touch and move and take. The price is right for the Ghost, it looks like the scooter for me in 2021
How strict are the cops in the US and Canada? Is there not limits on speed and watts? Hoping we make scooters legal in the UK soon as but looking online it seems parts of the US are the least stringent in terms of laws yet best I’ve seen I think was a limit to 750 watts, and 20 or 25mph top speed. Europe seems to go with 12.5 or 15.5mph limit so why are we seeing more and more powerful dual motor scooters coming out that won’t be legal in most parts of the world? 🤷♀️ on a side note I love the ghost and the upcoming phantom even more but it seems most high end and decent scooters will fall outside any laws. And why is everything ip54! Be great if you could be one of the few companies going for ip65 for future models or upgrades Apollo!

Hey @Mister_Con - how important is dual motor for you? Explore is more of a commuter vehicle (cruiser, slower acceleration but more than enough in the city). The Ghost is really for more power/acceleration (if you enjoy the acceleration, need it for hills or offroad). What are you looking to use the scooter for? :-)
which one of two have more range??
I just choose the apollo explorer because ive been driving the ninebot for the summer and i was searching a scooter that have more range and little but more speed.
I'm not seeing the two year warranty though for the Ghost 😢

Was hoping that this would be closer to 50 pounds. No chance the Phantom will hit that target weight of 45-55 pounds?
We are looking at the option of offering the Ghost in a single motor version too - that might be closer to 45-55LB. The Phantom turned out bigger than expected, likely around 65-70LB!
@@ApolloScooters I was hoping for a portable dual motor scooter that has tubeless air tires. Doesn't seem to be many of those on the market. Think widewheel pro with 3 inch tubeless air tires. That would be my ideal scooter.

These things are significantly more dangerous than a motorcycle. I’m in the hospital right now with a fractured knee that is going to need to be rebuilt. Scooters, especially fast ones are extremely unsafe and it’s not if but when you’ll fall from one. In my case a pothole caused my accident

Road safety is a topic we take very seriously, and we strongly encourage all our riders to wear the appropriate safety gear at all times. Riders should also drive responsibly when on the road. In most cases, traffic crashes are not “accidents” but preventable incidents.
However, even when you do everything right, sometimes things can go wrong. This applies not only to scooters, but to cars, motorcycles and bicycles. There is an inherent risk when you're on the road.

This could have been a great single motor scooter. Something around 23 KG with decent enough battery and confort. A dual motor option is just too heavy for my use cases.
A dual motor is something the community has been asking for :-) But we do hear everyone asking for a single motor version as well! Who knows what the future might hold!
