The !lettinggo isn't actually too much of a mystery. The story is basically just an extrapolation of the already established themes of rogue AI in Bungie's previous games Marathon and Halo. The reference to Joyeuse, Charlemagne's sword, is a continuation of Bungie's naming convention like Durendal (the sword of Roland and also the AI from Marathon) and Curtana (another famous sword, also Cortana in Halo). The torso imagery is most likely crucifixion as a religious metaphor, as Bungie loves writing religious and mythological references into pretty much all their games. The Destiny tricorn logo appearing in the video before it was even revealed to the public is a result of a trademark leak that happened before the video was made.
So essentially, !lettinggo was just a really dang good guess by a Bungie superfan.
The scariest part about Briar’s story is that it sounds strikingly similar to another character in the lore… Ah, I forget what his name is… a man wandering through an endless forest, who gave up his eyes because he had seen things he wished he hadn’t…
(just got those who dose not know he's talking about brother Vance, the old mercury vendor)
The last audio log of Grasp of Avarice is so cleverly made. It's a recording of Wilhelm's demise, you can hear the culmination of the previous events that led him into his full decent into madness with no way back, and that same audio log is worded in such a way that it sounds like his motionless corpse laying right next to you is speaking to you directly, as a reminder that you are following his exact same steps.
The one strike on Titan where the fireteam that you were gonna saving turns themselves into crystals so you're able to defeat the Boss (Big Shrieker) always got me.
Only one of them chose to become a crystal, and you're talking to her the entire time leading up to that point. The rest of them were forced to become such by the Hive.
Honestly, considering how that's just a basic Strike and they had like 9 Guardians in there, they were pretty weak for that to have happened to them.
@@ForeverLaxx That's actually how most guardians are, the player is just one of if not THE strongest guardian there is.
@@DaRealXotic We take out the biggest threats with relative ease compared to most, but if "most Guardians" can't 9-man a 3-man activity, our planet would have been overrun centuries ago.
Part 2, yes please. Garden of Salvation lore is defo creepy and deserves a mention, as well as the Exo experiments by Clovis Bray on Europa, and the full story with K1. There should also be some of the lore from the Rhulk lorebook and the lore that ties into his story because some of that is dark and creepy.

Imagine if, in The Final Shape’s raid, there’s a maze that’s filled with all the things that *_We, the player base, feared._* Like the halls are patrolled by copies of Tr3-Vr, and if they catch you they _boot you back to orbit with a personally tailored error code._ Meanhwile all the enemies drop nothing but Edge Transit’s until the end of the encounter, and the final boss of the maze is boasting 3 different Craftening weapons🤣

I think the most obvious thing you missed were the nightmare memories on the moon that scream out the last moments of those who died there and also that dude who drank vex fluid and merged with the vex mind
That dude shouuuld be Asher Mir if i remember correctly, during one of the seasonal battlegrounds in Splicer, you can see him as a friendly vex harpy, as well as maybe in the Eliksnii quaters in plunders

@@thundercookie1741 It was Kabr, one of the members of the very first team to go into the Vault of Glass. For some reason, he decided to drink the radiolaria and was assimilated into the Vex network. Even worse, that entire team's existence was wiped from history (though not thoroughly enough, it seems). His last act before being completely consumed was to create the Relic, which is the only way the teams after his were able to defeat the Vex inside.
@@ForeverLaxx The two other Guardians that were with him escaped, though it is theorized that three other Guardians were apart of the fireteam and actually did get wiped from existence.

I would love to see a part 2 of these with the story of the death of the iron lords and their bodies being controlled by SIVA.

The K1 Artifact is dope because it's the closest thing in Destiny to the Markers from Dead Space. iirc, the lore for some of the teams on the Moon gets pretty messy.
One eyed mask lore and lunas howl lore are preety good. Also the guardian who was stuck in space not being able to die

Meanwhile me, who loves the Thorn cuz it looks cool and had a cool effect (first exotic I got by Forsaken Ciphers), Mask of Bakris being something I used recently and got Revenant for, Necrotic Grips being one of my main used gauntlets and Osteo Striga having over 11000 sacrifices (level 150 or so).
Why am I primarily using or trying things based on more horror or creepy things? Well, I still don't take back that one of my fav weapons is Osteo Striga.

I don't think Tr3-Vr is hunting for anything. I think it's a maintenance robot or something just doing its job. In our modern world he's something scarier than a murderous machine. He's industrial machinery that neither comprehends, nor cares, if there is flesh between it and it's function.

On October 31st, I found the original loot cave in the Cosmodrome, killing the few dregs that lived there. But once I picked up the engram one of them dropped, dark remains like that on the moon appeared, whispering “never enough for Rahool…” “Please… Stop….” Etc etc. and I was prompted to disturb them, and I did. It then shouted “it’s never enough, ITS NEVER ENOUGH TO PLEASE THE CRYPTARCH GOD RAHOOL!”. I reloaded the cosmodrome later that day and never saw it again. And I still haven’t.
If you think I’m making this up I promise I’m not.

If Destiny were a rate M game with gore it would’ve been a cool Warhammar 40k prequel during the golden age of AI before the collapse and the raise of The Emperor of Man. The lore of both franchises is fascinating.
The scariest story is how you pronounce Katabasis 🤦 I love your content man but they do say the name quite a few times in the mission
If you make a part 2, please talk about A-113 (Cocytus) or Anomaly 779. Cocytus is a bit more well known, so maybe Anomaly 779. It reads like a SCP lore entry.
