Soteria, the Augur Mind is not a Vex, it's a Golden Age AI made using Vex technology so it could simulate and predict habitable worlds outside the Solar System. In trying to escape the Collapse it got fragmented by Clovis and almost entirely trapped within the Ares Spire (the dungeon), one fragment of it that escaped was piloting a ship that *most likely* became Neomuna. When we raided the Spire the rest of Soteria, which is now basically non-functional, escaped to the closest host, wich was the exotic bow, so basically the bow has an AI running trajectory simulations, that is why the tracking arrows are a thing
I think we lost. I believe this dungeon is how the Witness learns about Neonuma and then erased the data. Basically the first and second encounters were just a distraction while the Wyvern boss got the goodies then set the spire to destroy itself. All we did was prevent the destruction of the tower.
The music that plays in the first jumping puzzle is actually Tchaikovsky’s 6th symphony, first movement, which is about the internal struggle between light and dark. I find that symbolism pretty awesome!
The best part about this is that it's not merely a soundtrack to the scene. If you play the jumping puzzle with no music, the piece will still play in the background, meaning it was canonically playing in the environment.
@@dacedave4161 Well, wyverns are the lowest rank in the vex army. Hydras, and the all other the vex we face are just construction workers. Abit scary to think about
Same here! The change started when I tried master and got smacked around cus I wasn't as close to power level. It keeps me engaged and is genuinely fun 😂
What's crazy is that the bow has a secret interaction with Warmind Cells. If you shoot one, the Guidance Ring is huge and takes up most of your screen. I don't know if this was intentional but if it was, that's awesome
My favorite part about the side arm is that its shooting cadence sounds like the trotting of horses. Also, the bow is very thematic to it's gameplay. A lot of people are saying that it should be easier to use much like Ticuu's Divination, but I think that ease of use is what makes Ticuu's exotic to begin with. Hierarchy of Needs is a higher skill weapon that requires proper placement and map awareness to make you reach full potential, much like how it's namesake references Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs, whose pinacle tenet is for a person to self-actualize their potential. Unironically, you need to "get good" for you to maximize the damage from the empowered shots, which basically do special weapon linear fusion levels of damage on primary ammo weapon, sorta like Tarrabah.
i think every dungeons are good and unique in their own way 1. throne (very first dungeon and ascendant plane aesthetic) 2. pit (has the most "dungeon" vibe out of all) 3. prophecy (synthwave aesthetic, also best dungeon IMO) 4. grasp (best first time experience and pirate, i think? idk this is my least favorite dungeon) 5. duality (best combat experience and best weapon design) 6. spire (wild west style, and i love the verticality in this dungeon)

The intro on this vid bro… excellent visuals, excellent background sound choice too. Grainy overlay and film burn was a nice touch too. Love the overall western vibe production on this vid.
After a bit of farming and some blessings from RNGesus, I managed to get a roll with Corkscrew Rifling, Accurized/Flared Magwell, Compulsive Reload, Explosive Payload, with a ranged masterwork. This thing effing SLAPS in any activity. I am convinced this is the godroll and no one can tell me different. I also got a roll with Smallbore, Steady Rounds, Hipfire Grip, and Opening Shot with a ranged masterwork, but it doesn't feel nearly as good as the first roll.
Just did my solo flawless, the first bosses eyes are annoying to shoot and made damage shorter because something always prevented me from getting the full time. But this is a great dungeon, and I like that we can call ourselves space cowboy electricians
Oh Evan there is a hidden perk on the exotic bow. If you shoot ( from the hip like you're doing the ring thing) a warmind cell with it while you have the ring thing charged it will make the ring much larger. But it really should make cells without needing wrath.
*Top tier idea:* give us infinitely farmable whisper and zero hour and pressage back on a weekly rotation like a nightfalls with very high chance for exotics and high stat armor with rotating weapon pools like dares of eternity
You can make warming cells with that new exotic bow, you just have to have wrath of Rasputin on and then it can only happen when you shoot through the ring since gives solar splash damage
I wasn't sold on it at first but its really became one of my favorites. Probably 2nd or 3rd after Prophecy and GoA. I like that it lets you go fast if you know what you're doing. Especially in the first encounter, flying through and clearing every floor without ever losing the buff is a blast.
I don't know if this happens to other people. But wyverns almost always push me through the floor with their jump attack. You know, so that i fall to my death. So when i saw that the boss was a wyvern. I actually screamed and almost started crying. And yes... I got pushed through the floor 2 times in the reactor room.
This dungeon is a total blast, I think they knocked it out of the park. I think you’re being too hard on them Re: Akelus, it’s an enemy model only used once before, and most players have never played that GoS encounter so it’s brand new to them. GREAT video by the way, the opening was super entertaining 😂
4:15 To 4:17 to be fair. With the fact that we are in like… year 5 of D2 and with the fact that they keep adding and removing new mechanics for different activities I don’t blame them with choosing something as flexible as pasta to hold things together…
I was actually happy to see it used in something like a Dungeon. While it's raid is pretty, I hate the mechanics in it. Here? I'm fine seeing it. Plus, it's not like just dungeons reuse bosses: everything the game reuses bosses. Having an intro raid boss reused once since it was launched isn't exactly that head scratching. Shadowkeep is a few years old now, some people have never stepped into the raid, so why not let them get a taste of it?
When it comes to recycling concecrated mind, i can personally overlook it. It kinda implies that this sort of boss harpy is common amonst the vex that worship the witness and well garden isnt really a common raid that most people do so taking the better boss from there and reusing it i think is fine.
they also added a mechanic to the boss so if you chase it, it kills you which I think is cool cause that's how you kill the consecrated mind so it shows the vex are learning from the past
So me and my buddy found out, the boss isn't bugged. You just have to bait him into the reactor room, and he has to be in that room when you shoot the last node
Honestly, the tumbleweed was shockingly the only bug I saw in the entire dungeon. The bosses were cohesive, but my biggest gripe is that while dungeon bosses can be re-used (i.e. Crota but on fire/Ravenous Ogre with mustache) the Harpy boss has the same MECHANICS, bosses don't really matter, and the Vex are all kinda same-y because the Vex are meant to be that way, but the Wyvern was literally one of the FIRST unique models for a dungeon boss. The ONLY other boss is Avarokk.
