As a former Rock Radio DJ and stubborn SOB who listens almost exclusively to Rock and Metal, I'm widening my horizons and listening to music I would have never ever listened to before.

Oh yes, please more James Blunt reactions ❤. I didn't like to hear him in the past either. When I listened to Monsters, I was totally overwhelmed and dealt with his music and yes, I am now also a fan, even if I never thought that was possible😂. Another great reaction from you

He got a load of undeserved negativity after You're Beautiful. He says it was probably because it was played 24/7 and got on people's nerves. Lol

great reaction! that performance was raw and a really cool cover. shifting gears back to pop stuff, would love to see you react to Olivia Rodrigo’s new deluxe songs. the song “obsessed” in particular is the most rock leaning i’ve seen her done. the other songs are folky.
Thanks! It’s been a while since I’ve done an Olivia Rodrigo tune. I dig her energy and style but I do have to fight her label every time just to not get blocked. I think it’s worth it! I’ll check it out!!!

The last time I heard it was sometime around 2014. It was playing on supermarket radio and it grated on me. It’s been a decade and clearly my filter has changed quite a bit… so I think that’s a GREAT idea! Thanks!!! 😊

Totally understandable that you disliked You’re beautiful. Either you love it or you hate it. There seems to be no in between. I don’t really like You’re beautiful either, though I love all his other songs. I didn’t stumble upon him through You’re beautiful which was probably a good thing. I would love to see you check out some of his lesser known songs like Bones, Satellites, Make me Better, Calling out your name, Should I give it all up?, No Bravery, Give me some love, Smoke Signals and Cry and many more. Very meaningful songs! I promise you won’t regret checking them out. And his new album has some deep stuff too like The Girl That Never was or Dark Thought. And of course songs like Monsters, Carry you Home, Goodbye My Lover and Bonfire Heart but I’m sure you have already received those recommendations. James is much more than a 1 Hit wonder.
I’ve already fallen down the rabbit hole a bit and checked a few of these out. I was a touch douchy in my listen of The Girl That Never Was but he repaid my snark by breaking me on Monsters. 🤷♂️💔

True story: I thought “Live Forever” was such a great song when it hit radio that I made my mom take me to Strawberry’s to buy the album on tape!!!
8 years later, Champagne Supernova was my favorite song to play on radio since it was long enough for me to #2! (You’re welcome!)
