Everyone who saw Springsteen in the mid 80's and earlier are truly blessed....he still is a great performer of course but in those days he put on 4 to 5 hour concerts. I know because I went to one!
Anyone that had the pleasure of watching the live stream with Mamma Lex quickly learned where Lex gets her musical ear from. It was the most fun I've had watching any of their streams. TY Mamma Lex, hope to see more appearances in the future.
Your Mom is doing what all great Moms do. They remember all those moments you have together. Things that don’t seem all that important at the time but later on down the line they become a most precious and intimate moment of mother and daughter. It’s beautiful. Born in the USA was the first Springsteen song I love. I was a boy when my family move to NJ from Napoli, the Born in the USA was a very special song to me because we want to be patriot Americans so we fit in better in our new home. Bruce is always considered "The Boss" here in NJ.
Bruce made his bones at the Jersey shore in Asbury Park. We would go see him at the Stone Pony. Asbury Park was a great music scene back in the day. Rock, blues, jazz all genres. He was so big mid 70s to mid 80s. He would just show up at local bars and play a few songs. His concerts are legendary, he will play for 3 to 4 hours. He still puts on a show like he did in his 20s and 30s. He is called the BOSS for a reason.I suggest you dig into his catalog and start with his early music. If you ever get a chance go to one of his shows. You two are great.

It's amazing how much music we're *actually* exposed to at an early age, versus how much we retain. It's a great idea to have your mom there to provide memories and context to the artists. I love how the music takes her back! Love it ❤️

What's great about these reaction videos is you get relive the experience of hearing and seeing Springsteen for the first time. And what a great choice with Rosalita! I'll never forget the first time I saw this video when it first aired on MTV in 1984 -- I had never seen anything like it. It captures the energy and playfulness of Springsteen's live performance -- a top band clicking on all cylinders. Such joy in this performance!
I love that she picked up on that. It's usually difficult to make out the words in a live performance but she picked up on a line that captures the essence of the song!

One night in 1982, I was twenty. I found a backstage pass in Dallas at Reunion Arena to the band QUEEN. Brian May told me I had good taste in music after I told him I get off on the lead break in From Father to Son off QUEEN II. I love you too. God bless from Texas !!
So fun watching this one! Bruce was known for 4 hours+ concerts. Mamma Lex knows her stuff, she seems great! Brad's face at 3:57 and 9:25 were priceless. Lex is definitely her mama's daughter. Thanks for posting!
The line "my machine, she's a dud; she's stuck in the mud somewhere in the swamps of Jersey" always makes me chuckle. About 10 years ago, on the way back from a spontaneous trip to the Jersey shore, I decided to take a "shortcut" down a dirt trail adjacent to some high tension power lines in the middle of the pine barrens. I ended up getting my Subaru stuck going through a large puddle. No cell service, knew only vaguely where I was, and nobody around for miles. Spent hours trying to push it free with one of my friends. No luck. Finally started walking until I could get cell service, and called a tow truck. The tow truck driver just told me that next time I took a trail like that, I should bring a lifted truck with a winch. Turns out it was a spot he and his friends went offroading, so he knew exactly where I was when I called him. Also found out that it was federal land, and I really wasn't supposed to be there.
