I think James Blunt's comments were incredibly funny and I actually never understood the hatred towards James! He seems like such a nice person. And I love that he is aware that many people dislike him for some reason and he's not afraid to make fun of himself. This means that he has a great sense of humour and is confident in himself, unlike people posting shit about him ;) And he does look really handsome!
People hate him because his songs are terrible. Now, is it a proper reason to hate anyone? No. Because what I've seen, he's a decent bloke. He's not making lewd comments on tabloids, he's not doing drugs and hurting other people. People take the piss out of him constantly but still he hasn't had a social media meltdown, he just shrugs it off like it's nothing. Not to mention (copypasted from Wikipedia): He was a reconnaissance officer in the Life Guards, a cavalry regiment of the British Army, and served under NATO in the Kosovo War in 1999.
I'm not particularly fond of the guy and I really dislike his music, but I don't think he deserves any hate. Someone compared him to Hitler. I mean, even as a joke that's taking something way too seriously.

The response to the "little bit of James blunt" one is actually from his Oxford University talk in 2016 😂 he passed around some arsey tweets he got and asked the people in the audience to write down responses that he'd use if they came in necessary 😂

What I love about this is unlike others if they received these comments, he doesn't go into an abusive tirade or show offence. This is a good example of how people used to react but now people get so offended over words, get sucked in and end up being as abusive back at the other person. He enjoys his life and what other people say is meaningless.

His debut single "You're Beautiful" was really overplayed back in 2005. It just got really annoying. Which is a shame because it's actually a fantastic song. The radio just doesn't know when to stop sometimes.
Additionally, the quality of his work did drop significantly after his debut, so a lot of his fans got quite frustrated with him. Enter the whole "you're Early work was better" bull shit.
Meh. I just see him as a bloke who grabbed life by the balls and ran with it. He made a great debut and a shit tonne of cash. I don't blame him for screwing around - which is what he now does in his music, and his down time.

I saw this interview with James Blunt. I was a Graham Norton fan till then. But GN was so unkind, insensitive to JB, publishing & laughing at the derogatory twitter comments JB gets, & poor JB sat there & took it. I don't know why he is so picked on. Maybe he's not as 'cool' as some singers, but does that matter? He seems to be a decent, and intelligent guy, and there is never an excuse to be cruel & unkind, laughing at people as GN was. So GN is not forgiven in my book!
