    Elite tube rig. The jingle bells just give it that small difference from everyone else and sometimes that’s all it takes. Love tubes

    You said something in this video about a suick being silent but you would be amazed how loud the hooks hitting the metal tail and the body are. I remember watching a video years ago about under water baits and the suick was actually incredibly loud. Always wondered if that metallic clank noise they make is part of the magic of a suick

    • @54orbust
      @54orbust  5 місяців тому +1

      Your right, I guess I was thinking more about the outright noise of say a blade etc, but your right there is that ticking noise. Many guys 'T' the hooks on Suicks to avoid digging into wood or the tail.
      Thx for watching! Interesting point there!

    Glenn, thanks for the great video and the fantastic information. I have fished LOTW for over 35 years and have got into Muskys for the last 2 years, 4 so far one 42 3/4". I plan on fishing a lot of Suick and tube in 2024 and will incorporate your rigging. Thanks, you guys do good work!

    Another awesome vid Glenn, love how you guys explore the “why” part of it! I feel the same way about the blade being offset
    I was always curious what the underwater difference between a 10” monster and a twisted was.

      I've heard it's similar to your design, I don't have your subscription so I haven't seen yours. I also heard you changed your rig last summer.

    Now to mod this to just three hooks for the states.
    Get rid of the J hook coming out of the back.

    • @54orbust
      @54orbust  5 місяців тому

      In Ontario we are allowed 4 hooks, each one can be a Treble. So our rigging is legal in Ontario. Interesting that your rigs are different? Thanks for watching!

    Pretty interesting catch with the audio! Makes sense that the sound of a tube is unique when you think of the shape and the action creating that suction. Let’s get Dave some tanks and send him deeper next time! Talk about big sexy!😂

    Great video! Thank you for sharing your setup; I'm definitely going to give it a try. For the trailing blade, what thickness wire and what size ball-bearing swivel would you recommend?

    • @54orbust
      @54orbust  Місяць тому +1

      Thanks for watching! For the blade and swivel, size really doesn't matter as its not serving any strength application. So use what ever is handy or you have available.

    Your customizations are awesome! I'm definitely going to copy you. Do you suggest the 10" for most of the lakes you fish?

    • @54orbust
      @54orbust  5 місяців тому +1

      Thanks for watching! The 10" is the most versatile in my opinion. If you're gonna start with tubes the mid depth 10" is a great place to start.

    Im curious whether you guys think this is a legal bait in Minnesota? It would appear not based on it having 4 hooks on the bait. Thoughts? I really would like this to be legal cuz I already rigged one up like this, but I can’t see how it would circumvent the rule banning more than 3 treble hooks on a single bait.
    😅 is there a good way to mod this so it excludes the giant jig hook?

    • @54orbust
      @54orbust  Місяць тому

      Unfortunately, I'm in Ontario and can not comment on whether this is legal or not in MN.
      I do know it's 100% legal in Ontario under our regulations.
      The easy answer is too cut the single upturned hook off on the shank. But please check with local DNR to double check the legality.
      Appreciate you checking this one out!
