- Hey Guys!
In todays video I show you how I like to make my tackle boxes for storing massive musky lures and giant swimbaits!
It is super easy to make, budget friendly and only requires two items!

Awesome video. Great ideas here. Thanks for sharing. Subscribed
right on ! great advice -- save some money - will work awesome ! thanks
GREAT design! Saltwater fishermen like me use big, long baits for striped bass and other species. This tackle box is PERFECT for our needs, too. Gutter downspouts-who would have thought about this terrific solution. Best, Chris (in Maine)
thanks Chris! hopefully it will help you!
I like what you have done, so much I have liked and subscribed! Looking forward to more great ideas.
thanks so much! I appreciate that!
Great idea, I did something similar with a Plano Ammo Crate. And I found a guy that makes dividers for those vinyl downspouts. This way you can put more than one Lure in a section. He made the.m Custom for me and I love them, he has them on his website now, going to order a couple more this week. MJV Tackle solutions in New Jersey.
Thanks for the idea 👍

Love the box, I may need to build this one. Sorry about your gear man, hope you get some of it back.
Thanks I appreciate it! insurance did end up covering most of it.
Sorry about the theft that sucks. Humans are the worst sometimes. Thanks for the tip! Went looking for it and its out of stock. Someone at lakewood mustve seen the video lol. Hope they go back in stock Ive needed storage and this is the perfect solution!
Great video😊
Thanks so much!
i have made some similar to yours and the work great. i put small notches in the downspout for hooks to rest in. keeps them from getting tangled with baits next to them'
Nice! I did the same for my other one where I keep all my bucktails.
I need to do this!!
Its super easy! Hopefully It helps!
Sweet vid, I might have to try this. Have you tried Shadzillas? I had pretty good luck with them so far this year.
Thank you! and Yes I have used the Shadzillas, I caught my last musky on a Shadzilla. They just hadn't arrived when I made this video!
Any ideas for alternative coolers to use? Can't find that one anywhere. Just started getting into pike and musky. A couple of these would be perfect for that and the swimbaits I use for bass.
HOT TIP" CHEERS FROM iDAHO!
Cheers from Ontario!
I'm just starting out musky fishing..can you send me a list of some of your favorite or most productive lures
fukn genius! right on!
What size is that sebile? Float or sink?
Aren't the tails on the soft baits bent at the bottom? Some are longer than 9 1/4, yes?
I haven’t had any issues with the regular size stuff but some of the bigger swim baits like the pounders definitely need a bigger box
I was wondering what the inside dimension of the plastic cooler tub is.. length x width since I cannot find an Ozark trail 48 can in my area.
Sincerely
Thank you so much.
Hello, what color do you use for silicone lures?
I’m not 100% sure sorry. I’ve never painted a silicone lure.
I've always preferred a milk crate with the vinyl downspout inserts, so the baits air out nice and fast. 2 downspouts and a deep plano 3700 fit perfectly.
also a great option!

I love the look on the claymores allot! Def gonna need to grab some from Todd this off season. But this is prob the best homemade box I've seen
Ya the claymores are awesome! And Thanks so much, I appreciate that! hopefully it will help you!
