Hi Glenn, is that double transducer removable? Seems (I’m not a boat fisherman) tricky when trailering the boat as it looks to be sticking out. Just curious 🙂
Ya, the mount screws into the Lund Sport trac and the whole mount can b removed and placed inside of boat or secured to a pole clip that also screws into Lund Sport trac system.
Boat is getting there. You should show some video of it working when you have a chance. 80 degree water temps in Minnesota so fishing is starting out tough.
I will when I get back on the water, family and weather has kept me mostly off the lake. And ongoing list of boat and trailer issues that never seem to end...
I can feel your pain. I’ll send pics if we catch anything worthwhile lol😎
The explosion in electronic technology has been so rapid that I have a hard time understanding and keeping up with it. I can't afford the cost of all it either. $2,000. - $3,000 U.S. for one graph, and I look at all the different boats with 3 or 4 graphs, and I wonder how people afford it? I'm retired and on fixed income. I'm just rambling, pay no attention.
It's impossible to keep up, I'm at the most basic entry level into the electronics game. It is a part of doing business in the guiding world, and we use it as a tool. Is it truly needed? No it's not, but it's a fun tool to use with kids and guests.
@54orbust yeah, if you're in the industry like you are, you really can't go without them.
@54orbust I tried to email you pictures of the lure, but I don't know if they actually were sent.
I did see them, was just a busy weekend.
@@54orbust ok. I understand busy. 🙂
Very nice setup. Cool video as always brother.
Thanks Mitch, just part of what we do with those companies that support us!
That shirt looks WAY too big for you! See you tomorrow buddy lol
Chubby guy approved...lol
That SRJ in the Sunset Jailbird is awesome, great video as always brother.
That pattern is awesome on the SRJ!
Nice looking baits. Haven't made it yet to the p.o. to send you the crankbait. On my to-do list for next week. I can tell you that this lure was made in the 90s, so your silver black and orange jailbird pattern has been around for awhile.
Thanks for watching, can't wait to see the new bait!
@54orbust I have to figure out how to package it for mailing due to the diamsater size of the tube container it is in. That might be a challenge. I wish I could give it to you personally because I would be there in Ontario and we could meet.
@54orbust I've been trying to remember when and how I got it, and I can't seem too. I think I might have won it at a Muskie Inc. meeting. Guess it doesn't matter. It's in brand new condition. I'm not sure if I ever fished it. I have a smaller one that I have fished and has a wide wobble to it.
@@54orbust I emailed you photos of it.
Your underwater microphone really added to the content. Hearing the difference in blades was made apparent.
Thanks for watching!
The SRJ Sunset Jailbird is a must have!!! Great vid Glenn. My daughter loved the dog in the water shot😎
Thanks for noticing Rosie being in the water! The SRJ was built for Sunset Jailbird!
I really like that Candy Corn color!
Love the Candy Corn as well! Don't sleep on the PB&J!
Such an epic opening, Glenn! That custom SRJ is KILLER. Even the bucktails and sun shirt were cool! I’ve got to get my hands on some of Kevin’s lures myself.
His stuff is pretty awesome! Been throwing the bucktails and the SRJ is gonna see some active duty right away!
You could bench 150 and like 5 to 20 lbs of force on your wrist snaps like a twig.
Yep
Hi Glenn and the 54 or bust crew. Thank you for showing the grind, musky are my favorite fish to chase and it’s good to know I’m not the only one who struggles. I have a question for you and I will make it as quick as I can. I recently moved to a state with only Tiger musky and have been throwing my “normal” musky baits with no luck. Do tigers eat twin 10’s? Or do I need to step down the size of my baits? I understand muskies are muskies and won’t hold anyone accountable for any advice. Just looking for advice.
Thanks for watching! The grind is a big part of the game for sure. Tiger's in our waters are more aggressive than the native muskies, so they generally hit the baits first. We never find that we have to downsize for tigers.
Thin the tailnportions so they flutter as the bait slows down. The dogs are the only one of the three the carry tail motion through the pause.
Interesting! Thanks for the tip!
Good stuff dude! Awesome fish there, congrats Kim!
@@MattVavrochFishing thx Matt, she was pumped!
The result is awesome, great for her! but embracing the grind is the part of the video and reality of musky fishing that I really appreciate!
We have to embrace the grind, it's what we do. When you are down and out, that's usually when it happens...
Great video
Thanks so much!
Cool looking tiger, attention to detail made this happen. Great video as always brother.
Thanks Mitch! Appreciate you!
Glen you are a great Musky guy and I've learn so much watching over the years. Play back the first part of this video and watch how much you stare at that dam screen. Will the great sport of fishing for these majestic fish become just another video game?
Thanks for the support! With the perspective mode I can see if my guests have follows over the open water. In the shallows and weeds it's far less important. It's a tool like Side Imaging is a tool, we use it where it's valuable, but we don't just drive around and target fish, there's enough of those anglers on social media. We use it as part of what we do on the water during our normal casting runs.
GREAT! THANX 4 SHARING!!!! GO-54!!!
Thx James! Just filmed some more new 'show colour' for '25 Suicks!
Great video has always
Thx Jeff! Appreciate you!
Sometimes catching a nice one after a long grind can almost be more rewarding. I’d rather that than not getting one! Hard work, great guiding and perseverance paid off!!! Nice work Glenn - gotter done!
We all know the grind is real, and it's so rewarding to nail one at the end of the day!
Hey, thanks for the shout out! Glenn, I appreciate you my friend, and love everything about the channel. Congratulations on your success, and I'll be around for more to come I'm sure. Good video too - appreciate hearing your thought process and approach. Good job Kim on a nice tiger - that's one more than I've ever caught. My son and I are hitting the lake again this weekend, and I think the shout-out just gave us some extra mojo. Thanks!!
Thx Dean, appreciate you brother! Best of luck this season and I know we'll chat some more!
You bet!
Get em crew. Teach me how to be better. Appreciate the channel.
Glenn, I have a black and silver, white belly, very large muskie trolling crankbait hanging on my fireplace that I would like to mail to you, if I had a mailing address. I know you are somehow connected to the store in Vermillion Bay, Ontario. Maybe I could send it to you there? I think the store is called Bobby's, or at least it was when I was there in 08.
I'm not going to tell you what the lure is and spoil the surprise. I will say that it was designed in Europe and a company here in the U.S. made them for a while. So far as I know, you can't get them in N. America anymore. I'm guessing it is around 15-16 inches long. Strictly a trolling lure. You wouldn't want to even try to cast it. Might be worth a shot in Eagle Lake this fall. It's yours if I can get a mailing address.
Email me at musky@54orbust.com and I'll get you an address! Appreciate you!
@54orbust will send you the email. I don't use this UA-cam name as my address. So, look for an email from __mrmusky@__ Not going to post my full address.
@@54orbust huh, having some difficulties. I'm getting an invalid email address for you when I enter it into the mail address spot.

Fished the same lake for opener. By Friday, our last day, we had only boated 3 fish and had 30+ follows. The last day we had perfect conditions and full moon, ended the day with 5 fish in the boat, all tigers of course😂
Timing is a big part of the musky battle and knowing where to be at the right time! Thx for watching!
Beautiful Tiger Muskie!
Yes it is! Thx for watching!
Fishing has been absolotely brutal for me here in Quebec(brown watet) this year. Water levels are way too high and fish are impossible to find. Last year was a record year for me with giant fish hitting the net with regularity. Back to the grind!
Crazy how much it changes year after year, one thing remains, the grind is real!
I haven’t caught one since last October and have been discouraged this year sitting on a goose egg. When the water cools I’ll start chasing them again.
We all have tough spells, anyone who says they don't are lying... It's how we handle it that seperate us. Good luck when you get back at it.
This makes me feel better … just got back from a 4 day trip and the struggle was real and we had all the feelings. 7 of us got two and we barely saw any, but grateful To be out there. It happens to everyone.
The Grind Is Real!
Awesome and informative video. I've made 36 trips to Sioux Lookout but never for muskie. This late Aug/Sept my daughter and son-in-law are coming up again. My daughter wants a shot at a big muskie and we've found Eagle lake to be the best bet. This video, especially watching prior weather/wind should help the most. If you had only one bait to throw, what would be your choice, as obviously us southerners from Alabama don't fish for muskie down here. Thanks in advance. I'm suscribing and look forward to more content.
Thanks for finding us and glad we could offer some insight. If I had only one bait for summer it's hard to beat a bucktail in black and silver.
@@54orbust That is what I have been seeing from some of the "amateurs", and you have solidified that I'll pick up several on our way up.
I put over 100 hours in this spring, most on the river, some follows, one bite, and none landed. And now it's far too hot to fish. This sport is what you make of it. There's a lot to be said about what drives you at the end of the day to get out there again. With obligations and responsibilities, this becomes all the more challenging. If they bit every day and we landed every fish we wouldn't do this. And despite how time consuming this hobby is, all of us make some time to do it. Life is also about the moments that go by when you're not doing what you wish you were doing. There's certainly more of those on some days than others. You might not remember that. You will definitely remember the next time you bring a fish to the net and land it. They gotta eat some time. Good luck & tight lines.
Always grind...
Just spent last week on wabigoon it was terrible no musky or pike very slow all around
I heard it was tough, one of my buddies caught a 49 out there over the weekend, so things are getting better!
Nice to know it’s not just me! Been such a rough year I agreed to an extra week of work.
Things are starting to fire up in NWO with some warmer temps finally. Looking to be a good couple weeks around full moon!
It's tough down in MN too. It's not just a Canada thing. Sure the guides who stick to one body of water will have their pattern dialed fishing every day. But every person I know who only fishes weekends and/or after work is struggling to some degree or another. We're all in this together, even if it means struggling together 😂
I've heard it's a tough start to the season for a lot of anglers. Things are starting to come around finally for us. And together, we'll find a way to be better for it!
Very nice video. Thanks for showing the new Pit Bull off. We hope many anglers get them eaten this season.
It's an awesome addition to the Bulldawg lineup! It's gonna be a star this season!
Very cool Glen, great video as always brother.
Thanks Mitch, another must have lure for the box!
I always focus on open water when I’m not seeing them on structure early season. Also fish the night shift. The conditions are perfect for them to be out feeding on pelagic bait that time of year.
Good advice! Bugs are too bad for me to spend any time night fishing.
THANX" 4 SHARING! GO FIDDIE FOUR!!!!
Right back at ya JDean!
Hey! Thanks for the shout out Glenn! Can’t wait to catch up this year!
We appreciate the 54 community and so cool to catch up with old pals this way!
Great video Glen, anyone who musky fishes has endured a slump. 2022 was my worst year ever fishing. Been a tough start this year as well but hoping it improves. Geat breakdown on the spot and video. Keep up the great work brother.
Thanks Mitch, hope we can make a day of fishing together happen again this season!
