Humans Being and Feelin should be added to your list of Van Halen songs to listen to. Also Eddie is playing guitar. He has a goatee and short hair which might be why you don’t recognize him.

VanHagar is my favorite iteration of the band, Sammy's song writing ability is miles ahead of Roth's party-boy style. "Don't Tell Me What Love Can Do" is a must listen.

Definitely one of their best love songs. And yes, that was Eddie, he went to a crew cut style in the 90s, and it really suited him. Sadly, their album Balance is the last one with Sammy Hagar, as a bad falling out happened, and Sammy either was ousted or left the band.
Y'all need to react to When It's Love, from their 1988 release OU812, that is a bonafide love song right there!
Dance the Night Away, Cradle Will Rock and Mean Streets are all great songs with Diamond Dave on lead vocals. I was fortunate to see them on their 1980 World Invasion tour, row 4 on the floor. RIP EVH.

To me, this songs talks of two people that go through struggles but no matter how difficult it can be, they will overcome the odds and continue to love each other, no matter what ♥🤘
Thanks for your reactions! This is one of my favorite Van Halen songs. When Sammy says toward the end of the song, "Hey, Ray, what you said is true", he's referencing a song that Ray Charles sang back in the 60's that was also titled "I Can't Stop Loving You". But a totally different song written by Don Gibson. Great stuff.

One of my favorites from them. You were looking right at Eddie, at this point he was just shorter hair and had the goatee, but don't feel bad because covering the early years and then to this time he had changed his look so much. Glad you two enjoyed this.

At a school party for our high school graduation, some of the parents, including my dad, got up and sang this to us (the graduating class).
The guy with short hair and goatee palying guitar is Eddie. All Van Halen songs has Eddie. THis song was released 1995, a whole 25 yrs before Eddies passing, so of course Eddie is there. THe Van Hagar period is a whole different beast to the Dave Lee Roth years. Check out Panama and Hot For Teacher.
Still hoping you check out Eddie's son Wolfgang Van Halen and some of his songs with his group Mammoth WVH. His song "Distance" is a tribute to his Dad and has video and pictures of him with Eddie and his mom (Valerie Bertinelli) through the years. Or check "Don't Back Down" to see Wolfie's musical talent - he plays all the instruments.

Only two things remained the same in Van Halen from beginning to end, Eddie on guitar, Alex on drums. Michael was on bass until near the end, and they changed lead singers quite a bit, but the Van Halen brothers are always there. You will find some live performances where Sammy plays guitar, but those are mostly songs he recorded as a solo artist before joining VH. Speaking of which, for a fun song, you should check out Sammy's first single after leaving VH, "Mas Tequila." Just make sure you don't get the uncensored version of the video, or you'll have to spend a lot of time editing out all the topless girls from the crowd. And when you mention a guitar solo, I'm going to keep suggesting you check out "Come Again" by Damn Yankees for a great guitar solo by the legendary Ted Nugent. The video has a really interesting camera angle to give you a different view of a solo from what you'll see about anywhere else.
Mas Tequila was off "Red Voodoo," but Sammy's first album after Van Halen was "Marching To Mars" which has some excellent songs.

There’s a VH song named "Me,Wise,Magic" recorded around ‘92 I think with DLR on vocals… It’s one of my personal favourite songs of theirs (although there’s many 🤣)… It epitomises everything that is VH, would definitely love to see you guys react to that… ABSOLUTE BANGER!!!

Ediie and Alex were always the constants within VH. There is some songs and recordings without Dave, Sammy, Gary, Mike and Wolfgang but Eddie and Alex were ALWAYS there on every recording.
Next time Sammy goes on tour he plays all these songs and it still sounds Amazing!!

Sammy is still a great singer to this day. He's in his 70's
Sammy just turned 75 and he's still touring with bassist Michael Anthony from VH and Vic Johnson on guitar and Jason Bonham on drums(he is son of late Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham). Sammy can still belt them out.
I listened to an interview yesterday, where I learned that Eddie asked Patty Smyth ("The Warrior") to join the band after Dave left. That blew me away.

I remember before Balance came out, MTV had a midnight premiere for the video for Don't Tell Me What Love Can Do. Back in the day when MTV was still 75% music and 25% TV shows.

So he's playing one of his own 90s (Ernie Ball style?) guitars...in this song. Listen to a cool song called "Runaround" . Yep it's all Eddie. Sammy on vocals. Alex on drums.
