A much needed video no one else has done that I have seen. Plenty showing manual being used but none actually showing just how to use the sticks. Thank You
Wow! I never seen other UA-camrs explaining this kind of thing, I really appreciate this video , it helps a lot of people to understand more how to fly a drone, hopefully other UA-camrs can learn from you my brother, little steps like this can help a lot. Most of the UA-camrs make videos just to make money, not to teach others. Thank you again!
LOVE this video! I’ve seen so many that either try to explain it while in flight or have some complicated visual… a simple showing of the drone and how it reacts is simplistic, effective and just plain perfect!! Well done!
Great Video BRO, you are the only one I've seen who truly explain the stick movement and what it does, never flown manual before but thinking of getting the avata2 to join my mini3 pro and Air3, need more rush
Ok... this is BY FAR the best explanation I have seen of how these controls are applied in manual vs. normal. It all makes sense now. Thanks a bunch man!
Great video with clear explanations on the differences between normal/sports mode and manual mode with attitude toggle on! This is very helpful for beginners who are interested in transitioning to full manual mode
Thanks! This is the best video I've seen explaining the differences and logic of manual control with the sticks. Simple, effective. Very helpful for a newbie.
Manual mode really is a different beast. I can't recommend a simulator enough. There are some really great ones for under $20. Order the controller a few weeks before buying the package and spend 20 minutes a day in a sim. The tutorials are decent, but going into freestyle mode and following along with a learn to fly series on UA-cam helped me learn much faster.
I wish my highschool teachers were as patient and comprehensive as you are, I would have aced every subject 😃Great explanation & amazing information, subscribed 💗
thank you.i am a cinematic drone owner from 2021 and planning to purchase the avata2..i thought the operation of the sticks to manual mode was everything the same😂thank you☺️
Thank you so much. It was really useful. I’m thinking in acquire a fpv drone and my first time in the simulator was so bad because I didn’t understand it.
What simulator do you recommend to learn to fly the Avata 2, I’m using TRYP, and getting better, just not sure if it’s the best option for us Avata 2 owners
Tryp definitely has much faster and snappier drones to choose from. It's definitely not accurate to flying an Avata 2. But learning to make it through races nice and steady without crashing will make sure you're more than ready to control the Avata.
Any simulator that you're comfortable with will help! When you jump into the real deal, you take things slow, you will already know how to fly, you'll just be adjusting to the Drone and the rates
Love your tutorials Xavier! I've been ripping around my yard in manual for a little less than a week. I'm really looking forward to taking my A2 out to an actual wide open flight spot one day soon. But learning to manually keep things low and slow in my yard has been great training in the meantime.
In normal drones you control the drone movement/speed and its horizontal rotation relative to horizon, in manual drones you control the drone rotation around all axis relative to itself and the throttle
Good man, you explain it in manual mode very good. Please tell us more and more about how we control the manual mode in different angles and directions. We need more educational in this kind of tutorial of flying Avata 2 in manual mode.
I fly the Tango 2 with my home built fpv drones! It's definitely better than an rc3 but DJI doesn't allow tango and other controllers to fly with their drones 😭
Was looking for an explanation like this. Something I noticed in a simulator and wasn't sure what to do as I've always flown the normal DJI drones and not used to flying manual. Thank you!
I love sounds, images, I'm immersed in it, I find me, the most sincere me, thank you very much, if you find yourself, please release your heart for him
I love sounds, images, I'm immersed in it, I find me, the most sincere me, thank you very much, if you find yourself, please release your heart for him
Great explanation! Thanks for the great video! I wish DJI would allow adjusting the C2 levels in manual mode during flight. This feature could be useful when I suddenly want to fly slowly and quickly switch the gimbal to mid, or if I want to fly in reverse and switch the C2 to down. Hopefully, they will allow programming it to a specific position in the future.
Cool video thanks. I still have a question. If I set the Avata2 to full manual, the left stick range of motion on my DJI Remote 3 controller is still very high, I have to move it quite far for the drone to start or fly. Do I have to set this up myself or what am I doing wrong? The stick reacts as if I were in normal mode or sport mode. Thank you for your feedback.
Thanks for the detail video explaining the stick movement. I now have a better idea of what I am doing when in manual. I actually did not know this - LOL
So after I get the stick controller I can rip this Avata 2 around like my old 5" drone, great to know! Only had it a couple of days now and I think I am going to like it. Thanks for your video information.
Just know that it has a persisting glitch where if you fly too rough it tips over for a sec. It can get a little scary sometimes. Google "avata 2 yaw tumble"
Great explanation. Thank you! But I'm not clear on something, if I just want to use the controller in Sport mode for a while, the controller still functions like a regular mini type one, correct? Meaning the spring tension is still there on the left stick? I have to manually remove that tension, no?
I've got the RC-N3 RC Controller (with the Neo Fly More Combo) and was wondering what the difference is between mine and the FPV Controller? It looks like (to me) I can use manual mode with my controller, rather than needing to buy the FPV one? TIA
You can't fly manual mode with the RC-N3. You have to use the FPV 3 controller and the goggles together. They work differently.. the RC-N3 speaks directly to the drone, but the FPV controller connects to the goggles via Bluetooth, then the signal is sent from the goggles to the drone (this is why the FPV controller doesn't have antennas)
Thanks for the video. I’ve been wanting to dive into FPV drones but have always been scared of the learning curve with them. Guess the avata 2 comes with some training wheels that can help me along the way. Any recommendations on flight simulators that may help ?
I recently switched to manual mode, and are there any tips trying to make it hover in manual? Or at least move slower? I feel like in a hypersonic missile learning on fly in liftoff lol
thank you great explanation , however do you know if exist a flight simulator compatible with rc3 and goggle3 where to practice and learn manual flight ?
I tried this today in with attitute toggle on, but it was different theb you explaint in the video. It still had the neutral point in the middle with the left joystick and the right did you the automatic throttle when going left or right. I did software updated my gear before flying today. You think they changed it with the update?
And when i changed from sport to manual mode on the controller (top bar) i noticed I flew faster in sport mode then in manual. That cant be right tho? Is that also part of the attitute mode? I am so confused
hi xavier! how can i take a still photo with the avata 2 using the rc3? press the pause button? then how to frame the shot while still in the pause mode "hover mode"?
For beginners beginners beginners, they will learn the terminology once they understand the basics 💪 It's easier for the brain to compute the results and then understand the terminology as opposed to having to understand the terminologies and computer results at the same time. #simplicity
I love sounds, images, I'm immersed in it, I find me, the most sincere me, thank you very much, if you find yourself, please release your heart for him
Its a tool to get everything out of your drone but its not easy and takes practice. Motion controller 3 is has its limits and really for the beginners and simple flights. Also switched to the FPV controller 3. Best decision ever
Straight out of the box, pulling the left and right stick down and inside Starts but doing the same doesn't stop it, the Start/Stop button doesn't work in Normal and Sports mode? Are this normal?
In mode 2, with the attitude turned on, my right stick when pushed forward (pitch down), stick pulled back(pitch up)... it's this normal in attitude enabled?? Or only when it's turned off....
That's How it works with attitude on or off! If you're in manual mode it will only pitch, if you're normal or sports mode it will pitch and fly forward if you push forward on the right stick and so on and so forth. Watch the video again you'll see
@@xavier_arthur I learned the hard way yesterday then! Hahaha because I'm used to inverting my sticks in the simulator. So now back to the drawing board and relearn my muscle memory the opposite. Didn't take me long .. But now I have to get used to it. There was a vid on someone tearing down their RC2 to move the magnets to invert their sticks because there was no option in the goggles and DJI didn't address this apparently for quite sometime. Luckily I only crashed on grass and no broken propellers. Perhaps mention this on your next video that the right stick is not inverted??
It stays in the position you leave it because it controls the throttle of the drone. You have to open the controller to do this it's a simple arrangement, the manual tells you how to do it because when you open it every time you touch the left stick it returns to the center And the drone stops
You need to have the throttle down and you double tap the start/stop button to arm motors. It's much safer and easier to just start in normal or sport, get to altitude and then toggle over. But you can take off from manual if you want. Again the throttle stick needs to be all the way down or it will not arm from a dead stop in manual. This is a standard safety feature across all FPV drones not just DJI. Make sure you really know what you're doing before you take off like this, It's a much greater risk to your drone. It's much more vulnerable to windy conditions, it's easy to accidentally bounce it off the ground and damage it.
What would happen if I just leave my left throttle so that it springs back and go fly in manual? I don’t get why this is so problematic because it’s easier to fly when is springs back
Hello, I want to ask a question. I bought controller 3 today. But I want to use my drone not in manual mode, but only with this controller because I'm used to mini 4 pro. I wonder if I can flip and acro in S and N modes without manual mode?
Yes you can, on the left side there's a switch for N, S and Manual mode. You can't switch to manual mode without first doing some configurations and inputing some joystick commands to unlock manual, so it's perfectly ok
I Hope You are Trying/ Practicing/Flying to get better as much as you Can???????

Can you flip the sticks? I mean, can you change the function of the left stick to the right stick and vice-versa?
yes in the settings of the goggles I believe
Yes. The default mode is mode 2 (throttle on the left stick), but I fly Mode 1 (throttle on the right). It's easy to change stick modes
