Great vid and it might be helpful to explain to the new FPVers that a rate number is the number of degrees per second that the drone theoretically flips or rolls so with a roll rate of 360 the drone will do one complete roll in 1 second and a roll rate of 720 will spin the drone 2 times in one second...
Tip: 10 degrees to 18 degrees is my sweet spot for my gimbal position 💪 Thanks for watching 😃 Link with me on Patreon: www.patreon.com/droneXfactor Get your Drone Luts Here: www.dronexfactor.com
Quick question! Have you had any problems flying the Avata 2 while being inside your car? Does the metal roof not cause interference? Or do you avoid interference by not flying over the car and keeping a clear line of sight through the windshield? Great content btw 👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks a lot Xavier. My question is which d-log setting is best, and if you do shooting d-log, when you export to your editing software, do you need to change rec ? Before colour grading ? Or can you colour grade right away ?
Thanks Xavier. Man I’m hitting manual and getting it but I’ve totally hit the ground. A few times. Thanks for this video and advice. I found a nice really tall thin radio station tower to help me learn to center! I had a vertical structure to help me roll/flip and judge the degree I was at when centering!
Watched a few of your videos and I thank you for sharing your experience! Extremely informative and helpful. I was born and raised in Flushing. The videos you put out bring back fond memories.
hello sir, thank you for all your videos, it has helped me a lot. could you do one showing how to orbit using the remote controll? im learning but i didnt go full manual yet, but would like to know how to orbit and all other tips and tricks with the controller.
Hey Xavier. Thanks to your video I can now do flips and rolls. Like you, I wanted to fly the Ava 2 out of the car (convertible). But I get a goggles 3 compass error. Calibrating yourself doesn't help. Don't you have a problem with that?
I will give that a try , only tried once in manual mode with avata 2 but never used that simulator, went higher that day to check out how it feels but most of the flips just juderred when comming out of the flip spoiling the shot not always but mostly so was disappointed although it was very windy that day well not windy for a larger drone but that avata 2 just kept comming up with high wind velocity warnings, anyway I burned through 3 batteries in no time with the manual mode that time with nothing left for my casual exploration of terrain. Fortunately I packed another drone that day but I wish they would improve battery tech so to give 30min max speed manual especially if you decide to fly like that a couple of miles from where you are. But great cheap drone for exploration in normal mode and you can have beer in one hand and that stick controller in other, put the stick thing down light up and smoke and carry on really easy to fly just maybe they could of made the stick thing yaw/rudder when you twist also like on a video game joystick.
Hello, I want to ask a question. I bought controller 3 today. But I want to use my drone not in manual mode, but only with this controller because I'm used to mini 4 pro. I wonder if I can flip and acro in S and N modes without manual mode?
Yes you can flip in normal mode with easy Acro and the motion controller 3. But not in sports mode! It's super easy and it's fun 😃 However you cannot use easy Acro with the regular controller 3 😭
I use Liftoff and DRL Both get simulators that you can use on your laptop or PC, all you need to do is download steam software to run any of those two simulators I just mentioned
@@xavier_arthur can you make a video on this? I’ll go figure it out. Guess I need to figure out how to connect the remote to my. Mac. Assuming Bluetooth connection will work
I tried manual mode for the first time yesterday in an open field, i couldn't do flips or rolls because it was keeping it level for whatever reason. I'll play with the settings again today but too windy to try again until later this evening
I think the best thing they can do is spend a bunch of extra money so when they crash it, they can send it back to dji for a few weeks to get it fixed when they crash lol... Good video for these noobs need something to help them that's for sure!
I can visualize it for you.....move thumb up for as long as it takes for it to flip....move thumb to the side for as long as it takes to roll.....move thumb too long as it will keep on flipping....if you practice that over and over you will get it...just make sure to give yourself some extra time after you crash and dji needs to fix it for you. either way it's easy, just takes a ton of practice and crashing to get it perfect :)
a GOOD video for beginners would be how to configure liftoff for the avata2 because ATM it's way too sensitive and completely off in terms of flight behavior. Like 7 flips in one second lol. the steam forums are FILLED with people like me begging to know the actual settings for gain
cant you just take the rates from the sim? what rate type is the avata using? you can flip slowly close to the ground too you just need to do a little throttle punsh and than get of the gas during the roll/flip i do that all the time and i have pretty slow rates and to be fair the avata isnt meant for freestyle anyway doing flips and rolls ist used for cinematic flying very much you can do cool transitions with flips and rolls but thats it
plus it's made of plastic...so the moment you crash while practicing moves like this....expect some downtime...and then giving up after sometime after that.

Hey chief, would love to see a video on how to dive with the Avata 2. thanks and more power to you!
How do you make it so that you can flip the avata 2 upside down? (What setting do I change)
do you think the avata 2 is better than the then the fpv ? why or why not?
hey bro, could you do a video on how to do like orbit, and other special moves?
Okeeee I Need An Advanced Vid now. HARD TRICKS AND MORE EXPO AND RATES EXPLAINATION PLEASE SIR 🎉
Great tips bro! These are a must!!!
Is that the DJI Virtual Flight Simulator that you're using? Can it be used with the FPV RC 3?
hey you're a very nice person! thanks for that video! : -) will help me out. Had crashed mine twice because of too slow turning-speeds.

Thanks you, sir! Does your advise apply to Avata One also? Great video!
they both work the same way...except avata 2 has a button so it will do one for you...yay!
Thank you! I learned a lot just from this one video.
Thank you

There is a setting that keeps it from flipping in manual mode, maybe that setting is on? Try to disable it
I am not able to do it, if there is a video of this then please tell me
Great tutorial. Thank
Thanks that was very helpful.
Hey which Sim did you use with the DJi FPV3 controller?
Easy setup?
I am learning on uncrashed off the Steam store and I like it and works with the Fpv controller 3, liftoff is good too.
