@@PowerStrokeTechTalkwARodDoing this to my 16. However do you know if it is possible to add that 110 outlet to the right there? I have sync there but would rather that.
Arod... That is awesome!!! I wired LED's into the bed of my 2015 F250. They currently ONLY work with the key on. Now I can go down this path and have them working anytime I need them!!! Thank you!!!!
Fuse #32 was the trick for me. Thank you for showing which wire to splice into on the switches. I wanted my upfitters hot during remote start for high idle only, so I connected the violet wire to fuse #32, which is hot with remote start, and added a 5 amp fuse. I've accidentally hit those switches too many times to leave them hot all the time...
Wow, which I’d seen this prior to installing the switches a couple of years ago...thanks, would have to talk myself into the cramped posture and spaces to do this...we’ll see.
Great vid. Want to add lights in the bed of my super duty and connect them to the switches. Would be a total plus to have them hot all the time if I ever need to check something in the back
Two other ways to do it. One is using a potentiometer with a on off similar to a volume on off pot. Second way is just moving the purple wire AT the bcm to a always on position. Get the bcm schematic and it’s easy to change.
Good mod but one problem I see is if you accidentally flip on a switch it could run your battery down. I find one of my switches on a lot due to the placement of the switches and the miscellaneous catch all tray.
Great video, thanks for posting. Shouldn't we protect this new circuit with a 10A inline fuse holder? The cigar lighter circuit is 20A, but presumably the up-fitter switch bank assembly is only rated to 10A. The individual control relays have higher ratings, but that wouldn't protect the the switches themselves from over-current (?)
Awesome! Thanks for sharing. That's been on my hit list for some time. You made the process a whole lot easier for me now. How easy is it to find pins? I have a de-pinning tool but will need to find some pins...
Im no electrician, but it seems like the new blue wire is undersized now that you're allowing up to 20 amps to be pulled through it. maybe its fine? And isn't each switch rated for different amperage? Just seems like they would have done this from factory if it was safe to do.
About time you did a video on the 11-16 trucks 😃 Where did you get the wire to replace the purple wire? Or if you know the name of terminal series (Metripack, GT150, G6, etc, etc). Thanks
I’ve been looking for a while where did you get your pig tail for your hot wire from? Update: I purchased a “6 Pin Automotive Throttle Position Sensor Socket Female Connector Plug for Ford” on eBay that had the same pin size this way you can keep your factory harness intact 👍
Is there a way to add the upfitter switches to my 2012 f250? Do I need to order a separate harness and the switches, or just switches for a plug n play type deal?
I have a f250 super duty xlt no power seats I would like to put power seats is this possible will the hook up work that is ther which I think it is for air bags ?
Great video! I accomplished the aux switch /high idle problem slightly differently so that the aux switches and 110v power points work during remote start as well as key on. I was concerned shut a battery drain with it wired to battery. Here is the video of me doing the retrofit. m.ua-cam.com/video/BeNgkhU5dkg/v-deo.html
This is great . I have my emergency lights on my switches. I can now shut off my truck while on scene. Thanks for putting this out .
1st responders are my top priority
Same thing for me also. Hate to have the key In the truck to keep the lights on when im not in the truck working at scene.

Oh pretty neat. Might do that to my 2012
Wish I could bring my truck to you to get this done. My big fat hands are to big to get into those tight places. Love your videos!
Bring it on thru...everyone else is. Have oil change, fuel filters and maint packages for my Powerstroke Family!!!
Awesome! I hate that I can’t have the switch on with out the key on. Now I’ll been wiring them up so I can use my led strobes. Thanks for sharing that

Hopefully you find a way to do this for 17 and up. That would be awesome but probably harder since our switches are in the headliner.

Hi love your channel!!....
I have a question I have a 2016 f-250 diesel and I never use the Auxiliary switches but what are they really for?
Thanks
if i add constant power to pin 8 does that eliminate the fuses and relays of the upfitters switches?
