Absolutely love the series of videos. You are correct to get platinum interior to work in that truck you need to complete body harness and body control module. Addition to that you will need all the harnesses for the doors, because part of the memory controls, go through the doors, and will also need the full power mirrors. As for the Apple CarPlay, you can upgrade the sync 2 display to sync 3.4 and have CarPlay. The only thing you will need is the wiring harness to make the parking sensors and rear back up camera work, as those are both standard equipment on a lariat and platinum. It’s a lot of work, but you get the same exact truck for a fraction of the price and that something you just can’t beat.
Thanks for all the info! I Found another truck local that was getting parted out that should have had most of that, but he sold the cab right before I called! Also all the local junkyards seem to have cut the interior harnesses for the seats which is wild
Oh yeah carpet definitely is quieter than vinyl flooring. My truck has vinyl with dynamat but road noise is louder than just carpet without any soundproofing
So a few takeaways. 1: I was not expecting the truck to look as great as it does! 2: I was not expecting to like this series as much as I have…I have enjoyed every video! 3: once you get a wiring harness and swap the dash will you do a cost comparison to your old truck? And also your final thoughts between the two. Thanks for taking us along this journey, it’s been a great one!
Great job Trevor. I'm different but I prefer the cloth seats over leather. They feel nicer to sit on because they don't get hot or cold and they wear better. With the new center console it's perfect! Getting it all wired up was impressive too.
You could always take the seat covers off the platinum and put them on your seats. Same with the dash, throw it in there and mount the aftermarket radio somehow. Love the build!
Love this truck, love upgrading cars and trucks with factory options, I always seem to do the same thing because I'm povo so buy the base model then add all the factory options I need which is 8x the work and 2x the money in the end but hey it's fun
So if you can find an interior harness from a Platinum truck along with the APIM you can use it with your truck. Then you can swap the seats in with the newer style dash. The swap isn't hard finding the parts might be a little tricky. I grabbed my KR interior swap out of a flooded truck. I had the 11-12 stuff so a little different but still mostly the same process. I'm pretty sure the BCM is the same, you will have to go in with Forscan and turn on some of the APIM configurations. You could also do the sync 3 swap at the same time. Looking forward to whatever you do!
I am really enjoying this series; it is inspiring me to look for a truck that I can update to make a nice tow pig. I became a fan of your channel when you bought the 2011 and did the motor swap. I don't know why but for some reason this truck reminds me of Old Dirty especially since you put the shell on it. Maybe call this truck Old Dirty 2.0. Keep up the great content.
Man that paint looks amazing. Also i have gone down the route of adding factory options. I always thought it was a huge pain in the ass. Plus it is still pretty expensive in my experience. But it can be fun to just fully customize your truck.
idk if anyone has mentioned this yet but taylor ray did the same thing on the fumins and he was able to get the heated and cooled seats to work on his truck and it was a much older truck, might be worth contacting him to see if his solution would work for u
In a lot of cases its cheaper to just buy an old beater and restore it like this! Me personally, I'm a simple man and like my 2000 4.6 XL stock f-150, but if I were to want a more fancy truck, I would do what you guys do and upgrade the interior and exterior in my already payed off 4.6
Your are probably gonna need tge body control and door harnesses for the memory positions and the heat/cool, lumbar etc. But also the sync system is different in the plati as its sync 3, its different setup than what is in these trucks with what I believe is sync 1? Im not entirely certain on that though. It would probably be a part of the bcm from a lariat/platinum truck
Looking good , the only thing I would do different is keep the vinyl floor . Easy to clean , never absorbs any smells , and I never really look at the floor anyways . Makes me want to polish my red Ranger now .
I would absolutely appreciate a response. I’m doing a center console swap and like you want functioning rear vents. What is the part number for that plastic piece you installed that diverts air into the center console? I’ve searched 16 pages of parts and can’t find it
Trevor, Charles. The world isnt flat.
now THAT is how you do it!
That's what i love about this channel.
Don't have something? Want it? Do it yourself!

I think you and @Taylordrifts have one of the best custom truck
That trucks come soooo far. I honestly had forgotten just how beat it was before you got to it.
Look up E4 Motors. I believe hes in Florida. He does swaps all the time. Helped me with a 16 interior swap on my 02 7.3. His work is top shelf.
I love the Red truck over the white....one can't wait to see the platinum interior in
Oh yeah carpet definitely is quieter than vinyl flooring. My truck has vinyl with dynamat but road noise is louder than just carpet without any soundproofing

Man the cloth seats are more comfortable and last longer in my opinion.
You could always take the seat covers off the platinum and put them on your seats. Same with the dash, throw it in there and mount the aftermarket radio somehow. Love the build!
Two thumbs up from this guy
We have 80 ish trucks we rent out to work crews, we use an ionizer to deodorize them and it works a treat.
Love this truck, love upgrading cars and trucks with factory options, I always seem to do the same thing because I'm povo so buy the base model then add all the factory options I need which is 8x the work and 2x the money in the end but hey it's fun
Budget F250 content for the win! Love that!
That truck has made a big transformation. Love the way it’s turning out. I can’t wait for you to be able to do the whole platty interior tho. Sick!!

One of the most interesting builds on youtube rn and I have no idea why but I watch these videos from start to finish.
Wow good job. Hard swap to do
The red is poppin compared to when you pulled it in for the engine swap….. amazing as always
I’m with everyone else. Love this series with the new old truck. That thing has come a long way!
Man that thing shines!
Trevor is a wizard. You should put a link to the black Evo in the trailer series up sometime. This interior work reminded me of it.
These are the videos I love.
The work truck looks great. Nice job!
This man and market place lol
always loved you truck / diesel videos ..... buy a copart lariat fix it and sell the red one !!! next !!
i had husky liners in a 2016 ram crew cab. i freaking loved them. i need some for my 99 f250 now
THIS is the trevy videos I missed. This is what made the channel IMO
Cant wait the full interior swap!
The transformation is unreal.
Beautiful Truck!! The detail on the paint is fantastic!!
Would like to see that interior fully converted that would be a good video. keep it up.
You guys are doing a really excellent job
Trevor your a fanatic but its all worth it truck is mint.
The truck stuff is why I always come back!
Love it! It looks so much better now!
The green shelf just putting in the work. Waiting for the love.
Its been a great shelf for years!
Please make more content like this. This was awesome!
Love these truck vids!😎
Need the ProClip phone mount installed again after that amazing F-250 interior transformation.
Its already back on, forgot to film it tho
What if you built another f250 and the tdi as a truck and rally track pack?
It looks so insane man!

I wish you'd do more of these type videos again! Would definitely bring the views 😮
Man that paint looks amazing. Also i have gone down the route of adding factory options. I always thought it was a huge pain in the ass. Plus it is still pretty expensive in my experience. But it can be fun to just fully customize your truck.
Definitely worth it to complete the swap imo. There’s and endless amount of these trucks, I’m sure you’ll be able to find the correct wiring.
Do the white truck after this one
idk if anyone has mentioned this yet but taylor ray did the same thing on the fumins and he was able to get the heated and cooled seats to work on his truck and it was a much older truck, might be worth contacting him to see if his solution would work for u
*I was looking around on market place...
you ... Trevor... on marketplace... nooooo..never happened hahahaha
Yo trevy whatever happened to the party bus camper dealio?❤️
Cooled seats are the best
Yeah Trev I like the truck content
Coming along nicely!

wow. that truck looks real good
Great upgrades, makes the truck hot looking and a lot moe enjoyable to drive.
The green car is sick
Would be dope to see an rb26 conversion with an HKS t51r single turbo conversion with a full greedy and his performance pack 😎
Oem+ my type of upgrades plus watch a lot of sarah n tuned
Welcome to the channel, Danner!
Not a big ford guy but! My guy you are killing it . This thing is slick as f!
Great job on the truck!!! Keep these videos coming!!
Definitely needs the full Platinum interior swap! Platinum dash looks way better.
Good to see the boy Charles off his crutch vacation. 😂
Not gonna lie I keep tuning in for this truck
Tried taking the driver seat out of my mustang and the bolt snapped been stuck for a few years i tried to drill it out the bit broke in the bolt 😅
I'm enjoying the process. Currently in the market for an XLT and would like to upgrade as I find stuff for sale on marketplace
Trevy-Spec F-250 edition 👌
Lovin this truck build!
Need more content like this
U could always just use the black seat cover. I know it’s not power heated and cooled but would match
Nice video

Get it brother !
idk bout yall but.. that's a good lookin truck right there
Love it
Looking good , the only thing I would do different is keep the vinyl floor . Easy to clean , never absorbs any smells , and I never really look at the floor anyways . Makes me want to polish my red Ranger now .
The vinyl floor was one of the biggest things I didn’t like about it! The carpet just feels quieter and nicer
I wanna do this swap on the 2011 6.7 work truck
Would love to see some work on the Datsun 1600/510.
Gotta get that top into the paint booth Trev!
Should of swapped the rear seat with the bkack one and replaced the door panels
Debating on that, door panels are $1000 on ebay!
Love the truck vids. (do you still have the rainy day supra? any plans on that?)
Not a rainy day yet!
Are you gonna paint match the topper?
Love the build paint that cap broski
Looks class
Nice truck!! Just the upgrades you've done made a world of difference!!
I would absolutely appreciate a response. I’m doing a center console swap and like you want functioning rear vents. What is the part number for that plastic piece you installed that diverts air into the center console? I’ve searched 16 pages of parts and can’t find it
I’m wanting to do the same but I have a single cab. Just curious on how much you paid for the seats and center console
3k
I wanna see any Supra build like back in the day 🎉
You can actually pin allot of the lariat platinum interior in.
lets go!
Hello I’m watching this almost a year later but i wanted to ask I have a xl 2013 if I can find a xlt wiring harness would it just plug right in?
Hey I’m upgrading my seats do I need to disconnect my battery cuz of the airbags on the seats in a 2016 f250 xlt
What wires do you tap into for the inverter/lighter? Love your videos
Do you know the part number for the ac duct that goes in the dash?
Trev! Fly our with ruddy 💯
Do you have plans to paint the bed shell red? Truck looks great! It’s come a long way
Either that or black, have been debating on swapping the bed over to a dually
@@MotionAutoTvif you go dually, the semi wheels like Taylor Rays Fummins has would be sick!
I think the gray looks good.
How much would you charge to swap a king ranch interior into a 2017 f250?
Definitely like big red over the big whitey lol
It's grown on me quite a bit!
Pretty cool bud
