    I have almost kicked diabetes to the curb Frst of all, I must say erectile dysfunction no more My wife thanks you. I thank you Thank you bringing the carnivore diet to me. I started last February a year ago, February. In June I stopped taking all of my medications except for my insulin. I only take two units of humalog if needed and five units of lantus overnight if needed. I'm no longer on blood pressure. Medicines or allergy medicines are inhalers or I don't have asthma. High blood pressure. I don't have any kind of hypertension. I don't have any kind of anxiety and I lost almost 70 lb. I went in last August to see my doctor routine checkup. Tell them I stopped taking all of my meds. I just turned 60 years old in January the 29th this year and he said we'll see about your labs. Heads up all of my labs until I got on the carnivore diet. We're borderline high if not over. That's why I was on so many meds. I got my results back from that were taken in August last year. Low and behold. All of my labs came back very low on the low side. Nothing out of range. Everything perfect. My doctor could not understand. I'm also drinking the element. I drink half of my body weight in ounces of water a day at one time I was drinking 300 oz of water a day. Now I'm only drinking about 100 oz of water a day. I feel fantastic. My 39-year-old wife can't believe the energy. The stamina of the way. My skin glows my outlook on life. My health just is amazing. My doctor doesn't believe it. He can't understand how but he sees the proof is in the pudding. Once again thank you Dr. Kenberry and your wife Nisha for being so positive on my journey. You guys are amazing. Keep up the great work. I'll keep following you. I can't stop talking about you everywhere I go. People want to know how I did it and I tell them your name, your wife's name. I give them the website on UA-cam. And wow! Thank you so very much. Have a great day. Stay safe and healthy of course. Keep up the good work

    The cancer doctor who objected to "red meat" is likely looking at epidemiology studies that classified a whopper with a bun and fries as a typical example of "red meat". Some even count a pepperoni pizza with double thick crust as being a "meat" item. That data means we should avoid carbs, not avoid red meat or eggs.

    Sorry, but some of us probably have a high degree of insulin resistance that takes awhile to correct. It took me 2.5 years to shift my blood parameters into 'good' ranges, however I had a heart attack soon afterwards. Previous to this, I went to a cardiologist who did an echo, EKG and scan & told me I was A-OK, 6 weeks before my heart attack. During my inpatient stay, I asked the cardiologist how long it took to get 'clogged up' & was told 10-15 years which would correspond to my adherence to the SAD with generous amounts of processed foods. So, I don't think Keto will cure everything so one's expectations should be tempered, but it's better than reverting back to eating carbage

What worked for my prostate cancer and should be helpful for all other cancers is: a water fast for 21 days with only electrolytes in the water and then only eating eggs, butter, fatty beef, water and good salt. My Cancer is now undetectable. So I'll be eating this way until the very healthful natural end of my life.

    I agree that canola and other seed oils are risky. And that true lard is healthy. But beware that some lard on the shelves is solid because it has been hydrogenated for convenience, which always has a byproduct of some dangerous trans fats. The label won't say trans fats, but if is solid instead of slushy, it is likely because it was hydrogenated, and hydrogenation almost always makes harmful trans fats. So we need to avoid seed oils, but also avoid convenient solid lard. Food made by a farmer with his own pig's lard is probably very healthy, but convenience foods made with industrially processed lard is now also a trans fat risk that they don't even realize.

    • @georgeingridirwin6180
      @georgeingridirwin6180 3 місяці тому +5

      Yeah, I no longer buy lard because of that. I ask for all the pork fat trimmings at our local grocery stores & render it myself. I do the same with beef fat. So much cheaper, since they often give it away for free or about 0.25 cents for a few lbs.

    • @mudslinger888
      @mudslinger888 3 місяці тому +3

      Also depends if it’s suet or muscle fat. Suet is harder and often sweeter, great for soap. Any commercial lard should say if it’s hydrogenated. I save all fats, and bones too.

    • @carriesilvinaespinozavilla5177
      @carriesilvinaespinozavilla5177 Місяць тому

      Whoa!!! The word "LARD" , is only ever animal fat from pigs. Tallow is from cattle. Butter from dairy. Crisco is hydrogenated seed oils. It is chemically highly processed to resemble lard so as to sell it to people but it chemically does NOT and will NEVER be a natural animal fat. Fruit oils like olive, avocado, sesame, shea, and coconut oils, etc have been around for centuries pressed by hand. BUT, they at their best are far behind animal fats nutritionally. Today even many of these hand pressed fruit oils have now been chemically processed to glean more oils. Chemicals used in processing such as Hexane can never be entirely removed. Therefore naturally rendered animal fats or cold pressed olive, coconut, shea, avocado etc are the best as far as plant oils go. The oils that we use today such as soy, sunflower, canola, etc, literally were nonexistent before industrial processing was invented because it takes heavy refinery processes to create such oils. These oils were originally brought onto the market to lube engines and other machines when the demands of war caused petrol to run short. I am a statician and machinist by trade. I run the Trades & Industry and Design & Manufacturing ( including Nutrition) Departments at a college in Calif. I love the Trades that have changed how humankind lives on earth but the Industrial Revolution spawned so many chemical processes that flood our foods today. We were never designed to eat ANY of the GRAS ( generally recognized as safe) chemicals that the Feds allow in our foods and, for the most part are never included on a food label. So why have chemicals been added to foods and not listed on lables? Think about all the machines used to process a food. These machines auto press, mix, covey, chop, blend, cook, freeze dry, freeze and can, bottle, box and package foods. As a machinist I would need to design, assist and maintain such equipment by adding NON FOOD chemicals to the food to allow my machinery to process and move that food along better. Our illustrious government made decisions to allow additives such as carageneen to be added so the food is thickened and easier to process. Carageneen is used in an endless list of faux foods today in modern food processing, to each item as a percentage. But it is in countless items, the average consumer is eating this every day multiple times. Example, Carageneen is used in scientific research to bring on inflammation so the anti-inflammatory actions of drugs can be tested. Now is this logical? NO. But when it comes to contorting all of the facets of manufacturing to fit the profile of For Profit Industrialization then humanity is going to be continually affected at every level of existence. As of now our very existence as a species is REDUCING. Our average life expectancy is diminishing despite innovative healthcare. It is not a coincidence that metabolic dysfunction....carbohydrate poisoning....is now the number one driving force behind Americas top health concerns.

    Regarding the confusion about A1 @ 19:00 in this video, the person is simply referring to ApoB and ApoA1 measurements (which are available in routine blood testing). ApoB is reflective of LDL and ApoA1 is reflective of HDL. When you get those two test results, some experts like to look at the ApoB/ApoA1 ratio. Typically, if that ratio is 0.8 or less, that is considered to be "healthy."

    I'm 70 and have a strong family history of heart disease and I've been treated for high blood pressure and high cholesterol for years. I have eaten a lot of carbs and pastries through many years. Six months ago, I started eating low carb and cutting out baked goods that I love. My fasting glucose has been normal or slightly elevated and when I asked my primary to order a fasting insulin level, he refused, said he doesn't order that. All he's concerned about is my total cholesterol and ldl.

      I was stage two hypertension with blood pressure around 145/105. No meds but another year or two I would have had to as it continually creeped up no matter what I did.
      After about 6 months of strict keto it dropped to 105/65. I was new to keto and worried at the start it would go up eating all those things they say raise it, boy was I wrong 😂

I gave him 4 months and then he had to move out. I also told him "my house, my rules." No cigarettes, alcohol or junk food in my house. I cooked all meals. Tough love works! And 25 years later, we are best of friends. He said I did him a huge favor.

    Doctors are clueless.
    1. It was I who requested an insulin test.
    2. To the high insulin level on my labs, she said absolutely nothing. Crickets.
    3. My primary doctor friend told me that the quality of my life will soon decline by my refusal to take statins for high cholestetol. That advice will be ignored
    3. My doctor friend told me that my high blood pressure is a part of aging that only medicine can normalize.
    3. I have five bio markers for Metabolic Syndrome. My doctor said absolutely nothing.
    Why do I even go to a doctor?😮 I go to get prescriptions written for labs and provide the diagnostic codes.

    Weight loss NP as well as having Hashimoto’s and battled weight myself. I can tell how well my patients are doing with cutting starch and sugar by their metrics, even if they have lost weight, they don’t even have to tell me. Their fat percentage and waist circumference increases despite pounds lost. I can also tell which patients have a higher propensity to insulin resistance and hyperinsulinemia before even knowing any of their medical history, labs, or medications. The biggest clue is that they have tried calorie deficit, only focusing on calories and exercise, and they either didn’t lose weight or they lose a little and plateau. Then as we talk, their medical history, labs, and medications reinforces what I have already seen - prediabetes, hypothyroidism, PCOS, family history of obesity and diabetes, and so on. When they take what I teach them about diet, the effect of starch and sugar on glucose and insulin, and the role insulin resistance and hyperinsulinemia plays in fat deposition, they have real success. I’m down 57lbs myself and maintaining and couldn’t be happier!

    A quick mention about canola oil. I recently saw a UA-cam video of villagers/traditional farmers milling gRape seed (without the g for UA-cam). It was cold pressed with stone mills and filtered and produced a natural oil. Canola is this seed rebranded. However industrial fabrication of the oil involves a number of chemical processes to get maximum product.

    Better tests than OGGT:
    •Glycated Albumin
    •Wear a CGM
    •Or if you are required to take a OGGT, consuming 20-50 grams of carbohydrates 6 hours before the test will wake up the beta cell insulin production.
    Not more than 6 hours.
