My oncologist gave me a gift bag just before starting chemo - it contained skittles, m&m's, and various hard candies. 😡 I tossed it out, but not because I knew about "this" information. I just thought my cancer was related to being overweight and wanted to lose a few pounds... 2 years later, I'm cancer free and down 40 pounds. Also gone from keto to carnivore in this time. This video is ample motivation to never go back to my old eating patterns. Thank you! 💞
I just beat stage 4 cancer. 24 tumors on colon and liver. The first thing they told me was to drink ensure which is all sugar. The only way I survived was to take care into my own hands. That would have made turbo cancer.Shout out to City of Hope in LA after Mayo and MD anderson said cancer free wasn't possible. Never give up. 37 years old stage 4 cancer survivor for 10 months so far.
I am beginning treatment at COH in Atlanta soon. I am so nervous to begin chemo and radiation. Been in ketosis for three months. I’ve asked them is ketosis helps in any way, they say no. What did you do?
@evol311ve3 I would fast day before chemo to get body clean. Next day I went aggressive I did 3 chemos including oxcillaplatin and iruntothecan that work for gi,colon, liver. I would walk after chemo to spread around with almy take home pump to kill everything. I would never take pills no matter what. They go through your liver, and USA doctors are more nwo science experiments so I used weed to keep my appetite to eat and keep pain away. I used tumric tea instead of Zofran and mixed peppermint and ginger tea when chemo made me sick. I read my Bible daily and would tell Jesus if you are real save me. I wasn't really religious but when I started to pray to Jesus 50 percent went away which moved me to 12 months.... then after 11 doctors said no COH gave me a 20 percent chance with HIPEC surgery. Cut out 60 percent liver as it grows back, colon, gall bladder,5 pounds cancer. Cancer free a year a couple days ago.
A close friend, 34 yo was diagnosed with GBM. They gave him about 18 months to live. He immediately went home and throughout radiation, He did strict carnivore and ice baths. The doctors smirked about it. They’ve taken the 18 months to live off the table, and he has blown the doctors away with the lack of inflammation in his brain. Never got sick on chemo and now they’ve doubled up the chemo and he’s still playing golf and working. I believe he’s added many years to his life…❤❤❤ I don’t believe the doctors are smirking about his lifestyle anymore.
GBM patient here. Any other info that might help me? The lack of info sharing is appalling to me. They either don't know or don't care to teach about treatment.
Mornin!!!! Hey Freddie….. I am not a doctor so I cannot prescribe anything to you, I can only tell you what I’ve witnessed with Khyle and his cancer story. He decided to take matters into his own hands after being frustrated like you and went pure carnivore immediately, and does an ice bath every single day. he still takes his oral chemo and he has to go for brain scans, I think every two or three months. The tumor hasn’t done anything, hasn’t grown and the doctors are still very surprised. He works and golfs and loves his life for as long as it lasts, like the rest of us. I wish you the very best life has to offer you!! ✌🏼🥩
Now that says A Lot but im not surprised at all. Just look at the recommendations for cvd. Stay inside, cover your mouth and stay away from ppl. When being outside... lowers toxins and sunlight raises vit D which strengthens immune system. Masks do not stop virus germs, but immediately lowers oxygen inake and raises stress level and toxin intake which all lowering immune system. Staying away fr loved ones can affect your mood creating sadness and/or depression also leading to lower immunity when happiness fr being around loved ones can raise your immunity THANK YOU FOR YOUR HONESTY. Ppl need to hear this.
I jumped head first into Keto two months before I was diagnosed with diabetes, high blood pressure, and uterine cancer. That was in 2019. I have stayed with Keto and all three conditions are in remission.
Amazing! 👏👏 I keep trying to get my mom to change her diet. She has high cholesterol and type 2 diabetes. She thinks it will make her diabetes worse if she eats less and she thinks it will make her cholesterol worse if she eats butter and red meat.
I had been doing Keto, low-carb, and the intermittent fasting after being diagnosed with pre-diabetes. I had successfully maintained 40 lb weight loss (out of 50lbs) for more than a year, but had started eating desserts again and was getting evening sugar spikes. I have FH and a year ago had a stroke. I was prescribed Lipitor, Ezetimibe, aspirin, and scariest for me Eliquis. I gradually got off everything but low-dose aspirin and dove back into low-carb/keto, eating even more meat, fish, eggs, and yogurt. My new mantra was: No sugar, grains, or seed oils. It is really hard to go against medical advice, but I lost another 40 lbs and am exercising even more than I did before my stroke. My goal now is to gain back any muscle lost. I still have high LDL, but my triglyceride/HDL ratio is good and I think a keto/carnivore diet will keep my BG low and reduce inflammation. It’s scary, but all roads seem to lead to the ketogenic diet. 😄
I was dx with an RCC back in 2007. I went in for kidney stones, came out with a dx of cancer. At the time it was 2cm in diameter. Over the next ten years it grew at a constant 1mm per years. In 2017 I went in to have my kidney stones looked at (up to passing one per month for the past two years) and it was discovered I had type 2 diabetes. HbA1c of 11.7%, and blood glucose of 594. At that time I forgot all about cancer, this was an immanent health threat. I followed diet and meds and exercise for one month. I saw no change. Blood sugar had been average of 250 every day for 30 days. I turned to my troubleshooting skills. I used my troubleshooting primarily on electronics, mechanical, starting with 20 years in the USAF on fighter jets to retirement and a career with Xerox. Step 1: whats the problem. :: Uncontrolled high blood sugar Step 2: Where does the sugar come from :: eating carbohydrates Step 3: Test :: Stop eating all carbs. Replaced with fat. Step 4: wow! More testing! :: Next day, 24 hours after initial test, BG level at 80 (from 250) Step 5: Keep testing :: at the 4 month follow up HbA1c was 5.5% Step 6: CURED DIABETES :: Continue to eat no carb, and watch for side effects. So I forgot about the RCC. Then one day, two years later… “oh shit!?! I forgot to have my cancer imaged. So i did that. It was smaller. Not just smaller, but shrank twice as fast as it had grown. A previous screening showed it was too large to remove by cryo-ablation. But now it was well under that limit. So instead of losing a kidney, to remove the cancer, I can have it frozen, in an outpatient appointment. So I did that, at Duke University. Its been over two years now, been checked twice, once per year after, and still no signs of cancer.
What’s alarming is that if you were a sucker your doctors would have killed you likely. Just because they wear a white coat, it doesn’t mean they have a clue wtf they are doing when it comes to family docs and specialist other than surgeon types.
@@Technichian462 heh he, good for you. Agreed about the plants. I do, personally make an exception for dark chocolate, but even I can see through my own chocolate addiction when my skin issues improve when I run out of chocolate. Animal foods are where it’s at. 😁 Bon appétit!
My husband was diagnosed with squamous cell lung cancer January 2023. Lower lobe right lung. They were going to do a wedge resection. I took most all carbs from his diet. Probably 20 a day. They did the surgery in May 2023. They ended up removing the whole bottom lobe, bottom wedge of middle lobe and bottom wedge of top lobe. They found no cancer! Called for the original biopsy which showed cancer. They can't explain it. I do know PRAYER and diet proved true.
Surprised there was no checking the progress of the cancer a couple of weeks before surgery just to conform it has not grown bigger, smaller , spreading etc?
@@togetherrrr Sorry to hear about the cancer diagnosis. Have you listened to Dr Thomas Seyfried interviews by all the carnivore channels? Best to listen to all to get those little nuances he gives out. All the best for a full recovery.
My husband has had (highly aggressive) Multiple Myeloma for 15 yrs (incurable). Extensive treatment including 3 SCT. His PET was very similar to the one in the video. He went very clean, strict keto in 2018. Off chemo in 2019. His PET in 2020 showed no active malignancies for the first time since 2008. He had a 2nd PET this week - still no active malignancies.
But has he gone zero carb. Has he stopped feeding it. 100% carnivore. The liver makes all the glucose the body needs to have. And that doesn’t leave room for cancers.
My Dad Past away from Cancer at age 54 years old, I was age 17 years when he died, I'm now 37 years old and trying to stay Cancer free , I was a vegan for 2 years trying to cure different types of sickness and it didn't work, so now I'm water fasting and eating a Carnavor high fat and NO sugar at all, I'm seeing improvements slowly , Thanks to Ken Berry 🎉
Keep on ot! You won't regret it! I cued diabetes, high blood pressure, exema, gut health. Greatly improved arthritis and lost weight. Never felt or looked better!
I have been keto/low carb for 5 years. In early 2020, I was diagnosed with early onset breast cancer. Had the best case scenario, lumpectomy, 5 weeks radiation and the “chemo” pill. No side effects from radiation or the medication. My radiology oncologist told me that I came in ahead because of my keto lifestyle which I maintained through my cancer journey. She even brought in some interns so I could talk about the benefits of keto. I am 67 years old. It is never to late to start!!
I just started my 2nd week of a 7 week round of chemo and radiation, for stage 3 throat cancer & it is HARD!! I would have started ketovore sooner had I known. But I can just go forward from here. Blessings to all fighting this difficult battle. This is the hardest thing I’ve ever had to go through.
I think I'm right behind you. Stay strong, you can do this. May God bless you and use the trials you are facing for a bigger better purpose than you could have imagined.
Did you have any other treatment? I had abdominal pain and was referred to a gynological oncologist. Before any tests conclusive or not, she began talking about colon resectioning and compete hysterectomy. That was back in March and after a cat scan, MRI and a colonoscopy that came out healthy, I havent been back. After a quickly scheduled colonoscopy before scheduled operation, and fasting, I noticed my pain subsided so I canceled that surgery I now think that doctor and her colleges are out for money so I won't be back. Planning a second opinion, but prefer to heal from carnivore way of eating.
I had at first diagnosed with cholangiocarcinoma and Primary Peritoneal carcinomatosis. They gave me Gemcitabine and Cysplatin for 10 cycles. I went into remission and still did keto. Then had ovarian cancer show up about two weeks later with Covid. So I had surgery after I healed from covid. They took all the cancerous nodules and a Apendectomy, a Hernia removal and a total Hysterectomy. I did then 3 cycles of Pacitaxol and Corsplatin.
Hi! I was diagnosed with dysgerminoma stage 3 ovarian cancer cancer. For the past two weeks I've been doing a strict keto diet. I haven't had chemotherapy. Just overdosing on cancer killing veggies, teas and supplements
I had body scans to look for cancer cells, before my Breast Cancer surgery. Prior to the scan, they gave me a sugary drink because it would make the feeder cells activate. I put 2 and 2 together. I shut down all sugar and flour immediately and ate very clean. 12 yrs. ago.
It always amazes me that doctor as well as patients don't want to limit carbs and fruits when they understand what makes a PET scan work: sugar uptake by cancer cells
“Because it would make the feeder cells activate”. 😱 If the medical profession already knows this about sugar, how is that they are not insisting on a no sugar diet for every single one of their cancer patients??? I don’t get it. I thought doctors wanted to become doctors to help people.
I haven’t personally met a doc willing to learn. When I question them their ego kicks in. They “how dare you question me, I know everything “ us out the door. I’m done with doctor in general but very much appreciate the doctors, like you, who have stepped up to actually help people get healthier and start to heal. Thank you both.
I think you are describing a problem applicable to vast amounts of people. I think its just fortunate that platforms like this allow us to obtain information that a lot of Medical practioners ,( notwithstanding the exceptions), do not provide.
I hear ya. At Mount Sinai, my doctors were total assholes. The one insisted on putting me on a statin! hahaa We had a big argument over that and I told him he wasn't familiar with the research. Ooh he didn't like that! Of course, I fired him. But my new nurse practitioner is a doll! I told her I was going to start carnivore and she totally was not judgmental. She just said she'll be interested to see how it goes. I just started carnivore yesterday but I can't wait to go back and show her all the improvements I'm going to have!
The reason I began my research to check out ketogenic eating (and I thank God every day I stumbled onto your channel almost immediately) was the death of my 58 year old kid brother Ken. He was the baby, I’m the eldest of 4 at 67. In 2021 between rounds of chemo for stage 4 colon cancer which had metastasized to liver, lungs and chest he (a diabetic) tried keto and ate like a dozen eggs a day, bacon and lots of fatty meat. His diabetes went into remission and cancer stopped growing. The first drugs had caused horrible peripheral neuropathy and the MD made him take a rest. I remember the doctor cautioned Ken did he really want quality of life or the next round of new drugs. He was feeling so good from the ketogenic lifestyle he went for the cure. The new chemo’s nausea did not permit a meat based diet, his sugar skyrocketed, tumors progressed to brain and within months on 3 Aug 21 he was dead. After he died one day while praying I got the thought to check out this keto stuff. I truly believe the Holy Spirit inspired me and brought me to this channel and shortly after, Dennis Pollock’s Beat Diabetes! After 6 months of ketovore eating my fasting insulin was 4.3 My A1C and fasting glucose has always been normal but clearly my insulin was elevated because I had a mild fatty liver. I only started this journey towards optimum health to achieve that fasting insulin goal and prevent me from becoming the 7th family member lost to diabetes; however, 45 pounds dropped off effortlessly and I weigh now what I did in high school and have maintained for 8 Months!! Thank you Doctor Berry for your crusade to steer America away from SAD. Thank you for caring, God bless you and your family and May His protection and provision be showered upon you all the days of your lives.

Lost both my parents to cancer. My mom to colon cancer and my dad to lung cancer, both within the span of a year. I'm obese and have type 2, I went on a low carb diet and went from 380 to 260. I went off of it when everything happened with my parents. Just started the carnivore diet and feel better and my glucose levels have been below 100. Thanks for all the great info.
Good luck! But I. Keto, the dieter is not allowed to eat too much protein because of gluconeogenisis, the transformation of protein into glucose ( sugar).
A friend of mine passed away yesterday morning, she was 32 with a 1, 2 & 10 y.o. 5 years ago they found a spot on the roof of her mouth and cut her from the corner of her mouth to her ear, chemo and radiation rotted all her teeth. They said they got it all. 3 months ago she stopped over and her jaw was swollen the size of a golf ball and said she had an abscess. My response " are you sure the cancer didn't come back" 2 days later she went to the doctors and found out it metastasized to her lungs, liver & kidneys. The doctors then proceeded to give her false hope and used her as a guinea pig for experimental treatments and chemo. So her last 3 months she was to sick to spend anytime with her children. I tried to convince her to do the carnivore diet with no success. This shouldn't happen!
I am from Canada. I have Cerebral Palsy (damage to the brain affecting motor function). If I eat even a tiny amount of refined sugar, I become effectively paralyzed. I am otherwise very clear speaking, have good gross motor function and walk well. When I eat sugar, I lose my abilities to move and speak! Sugar is a neurotoxin!!!
I'm so glad you shared this. My Mother on her deathbed told me "I guess I caused this cancer by eating too much sugar " I had never heard this before so researched it & have been telling anyone who will listen!!!
I’m the only one in my family that i know of with cancer. I’m hoping to save my life. I am going through chemo and have 1 treatment left then radiation. But I’m starting a lifestyle change with the foods I’m eating. My life is in Gods hands
I wish I could have convinced my father of this. I lost him 3 weeks ago to lung cancer 😓 I truly believe that eating keto helped me beat triple negative breast cancer 4 years ago. I will NEVER go back to eating a SAD diet. I have enjoyed way too many benefits from eating a very low carb diet. Thank you Dr. Berry for continuing to educate us❤️🤗❤️
I'm very sorry for your loss. I have a dear friend facing cancer but they are not open to anything their doctors don't recommend. It isn't looking good for them.
My wife died of breast cancer 5 years ago. My gut reaction has been that her raw veg diet had something to do with her disease. Now, 6 weeks into a carnivore diet I am seeing positive results for the first time ever (for a diet). If only I had known this 10 years ago...
I am so sorry for your pain and for your wife's life being cut short. Do you feel it was mainly the raw veg that caused it? My friend said her aunt cured her cancer by juicing and doing fruits a vegetables which seems odd since cancer thrives on sugars.
I like Dr. Harper. He is not agreeing to 100% of everything in discussion,. He brings his own perspective which lends much to his credibility. Vegan “experts” should take note. If you watch their videos, it is basically universal animal hate along with half truths and outright lies. Good stuff again, Dr. Berry. Thank you!
@@jamescalifornia2964 well, when you take into account how keto/ carnivore restores and rebalances ones hormones, then I wouldn’t be surprised if the opposite type of diet makes hormone profiles worse. That’s bad news for the mood, the brain, and the psyche in general.
Thank you for that compliment. Science is always a work in progress so we need to be humble. I find veganism to be more of a political statement that related to improved health through nutrition. I don't think there's much, if any, robust evidence to support their claims of improved health. I do get the animal rights perspective, but that's something we can easily regulate and improve.
I have high grade kidney cancer, I have been on a Ketogenic diet for about 7 months and have lost 52 lbs. Because proteins convert to a form of sugar I stopped eating purely carnivore.

South Africa 🇿🇦 had breast cancer and started the Keto diet during chemo. It changed my life and my family's life and made this our lifestyle! I've never been this healthy in my life. And at 47, I look better than when I was in my 30s!
I got breast cancer at age 34. I did do 6 mod of chemo at that time, but chose mastectomy over radiation after doing my own research. I quit eating sugar during treatment, but gradually started eating it and junk food for the next 30 + years and gained 80 lbs. I’ve just recently changed to No Sugar, No Grains way of eating and have kept that up for a year so far. Never thought I could do it, but easier than I thought. Even though I have FH, at age 74 im moving closer and closer to a ketovore diet. I wish you the best. Maybe listen to Mary Ruddick? She’s convinced me that it’s healthy. And Matthew Phillip’s work studying the impact of ketogenic diets to fight cancer and neurological diseases like Parkinson’s has convinced me that a ketogenic diet is the most healthy.

I have been carnivore for 29 days and have lost 31 pounds and feel out of this world. My inflammation is at an all time low, no more swelling in my feet and hands, major energy increase, sleep quality has improved drastically... I could go on and on I'm only a month in!
Thank you, Dr. Berry, for all the information you provide. I was diagnosed with stage 3b colon cancer in 2019. The only "nutrition" advice I received was to ensure I ate enough to keep up my weight. I didn't want to do chemo but was pressured by my family because the doctor had them convinced that by taking it I would increase my survivability to 85%. I researched nutrition and ate fresh salads and meats, and took multiple supplements. I eliminated alcohol and sugar from my diet. At one of my oncologist appointments, my doctor reviewed my diet and told me to stop eating raw salads, stop the supplements, and that it was a fallacy that sugar fed cancer. I continued my new way of eating and just didn't tell them I was continuing. 3 years later I am NED. A year ago I was diagnosed as type 2 diabetic, and my physician looked at me and wanted to know where that came from. Sadly I had slipped back into my old eating habits. I started eating keto the next day, and have been for the last year. My last A1C was 6.0 (last test was in April 2022). She was shocked that I was able to lower my A1C in 3 months without medication and have kept it low. Working on getting it lower.
Cancer can't oxidize sugar properly so turns it into lactate and it instead oxidizes fat. PuFA and stress hormones including estrogen caused the inability of cells to oxidize sugar therefore due to an energy deficit, the cells change form and dismantle their complex structure and return to a primative state of growth and division. Sugar didnt cause this and isnt the problem. You people are being lied to.
I'm currently healing from stage 3 breast cancer having turned down ALL allopathic cut and poison treatments. At the beginning of my healing journey a nutritionist convinced me to stop eating read meat (I know, I know, but everything I was reading backed up her advice so I tried it), within a few weeks the tumour had doubled in size... Fast forward 4 months and I have taken a holistic approach to my healing through physical, emotional and environmental changes to my life. From a carnivore diet to removing my mercury fillings to a rife machine, the results to my health and mental wellbeing are profound, not least that the tumour has shrunk to the point I can only just feel it.
Which rife machine did you use? @sportysbusiness ?? I just got an “incurable” stage 4 diagnosis and I want a rife machine but so overwhelmed at researching and choosing an effective one
@@rivkabambam In case you see this - I haven't tried any rife machines myself but have recently been looking into the Spooky2 machines made by John White's company (he's from New Zealand). About 5 years ago, I had two doctors, a team, who argued with me about weather B-vitamins were water soluble or fat soluble. They stated that B-vitamins were fat soluble. I challenged them to look it up which they did on their phone. And they were shocked to find I was right. Sad situation with a good outcome; yes they did admit they were wrong. I do hope they start questioning other beliefs and become better doctors for it.

I've complained for years that no physician that I've ever seen suggested or requested a nutritional evaluation, to see if I might have any deficiencies. I was diagnosed with depression 30 years ago), prescribed an SRI - then started doing my own research, and realized that my lifestyle and diet effectively destroyed nutrients needed to produce neurotransmitters! I stopped the SRI, changed my lifestyle, and developed a supplement plan for those vitamins, minerals, etc. that I'd been actively destroying. It took several months but I lost the depression and ended up much healthier. Now I see the ketovore/carnivore diet as the next step in improving my overall health!
Hi Cancer survivor, stage 3, used ketosis/ketogenic diet, fasting, vitamin c infusion, hyperbaric oxygen plus low dose chemo with insulin. Killed cancer in 1.5 months.
Changed to the ketogenic lifestyle over 4 years and 111lbs ago. Did this for my overall health and to reduce risk of cancer since it runs on both sides of my family. I've lost too many people to cancer, sisters, uncles, aunts, grandparents. Cancer sucks!!!
I just Fasted for my best ever 19 hours today.I feel fantastic . I.F. ketosis is something I wish I had known about before now. Weight loss is nice , but the feeling of well-being is absolutely great and can only be described as how you feel when you pass an exam or if your favourite team wins a sport etc.
Every doctor needs to listen to this. Thank you for such a comprehensive discussion and interview Dr. Berry. After being on a vegan diet for 4 years and now animal based, low carb for almost 2 years, I feel younger and healthier than ever. 63 years young.
I am so grateful for these two Doctors. I am going to send the link to not only my doctor but just got in the mail donation request from St. Judes. If only they would start Yelling this news through all their literature and show everyone how to prevent cancer through this way of eating. So Grateful.
I was diagnosed with stage 3C endometrial cancer. Although all my reproductive organs had already been removed, unknown to me or the surgeon it had metastasized to my colon and some lymph nodes. These tumors were found on a CT scan 6 months after surgery. I had already started a carnivore diet and lost 45 lbs prior to beginning chemotherapy. My own research indicated that maintaining nutritional ketosis would assist the chemo. I was teaching my body about metabolic flexibility, starving the cancer of glucose and generating ketones for fuel. The next CT scan indicated all the metastasized tumors were resolved. (Gone). I still have some cancer on my vaginal cuff and will begin Keytruda soon. Being carnivore is facilitating my healing process. I had no nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation or other weird side effects I did lose my hair, but it was fun wearing different wig styles and learning about fake eyelashes. My oncologist did not resist or support me in my nutritional choices. He probably sees a lot of death and withholds hope because patients actually die under his supervision. I appreciate his expertise but advocate for my own dietary intervention. 😋
Thank you for your comment 24Carrot gold, I read this to my husband who has stage 3 bladder cancer and it's in all his lymph nodes, your story is encouraging.

I gave up sugar after second early stage breast cancer diagnosis in 2018. Then I gave up bread, then rice, then corn and lastly potatoes. I did it slowly over three months adding more butter to my veggies and bringing the heavy whipping cream back to my coffee. I went from 184 to 125 lbs and have kept it off. No evidence of disease. I had a double mastectomy and reconstruction. I'm thinner than my high school weight and enjoy other benefits like reduced asthma and sinusitis, shrinking thyroid nodules, lower A1C, lower BP, lower triglycerides and higher HDL, less belly fat. I'm 60 years old and can lift my baby grandchild and play with him on the floor. Did I mention that I'm never hungry. That never happened on low fat diets. Thanks doctors. Keep up the good work.
My Father was diagnosed with GBM and passed three months later after chemo and radiation... he was type 2 diabetic and on insulin prior and throughout... I was on keto at the time and adamant that this was the best dietary approach to take for him... I was told by the physicians that this was unsafe and that he 'needed' sugars in order to counter the supplemental insulin he was recieving... I knew then and now that this was erroneous... how much suffering has sugar and carbs caused... truly the devils food/poison... bless you both for the work you do 🙏
GBM is one of the cancers that has good clinical evidence for the effectiveness of a well-formulated ketogenic diet as an adjunct therapy. Hyperbaric therapy, coordinated with radiation seems to work well.
He ‘needed’ the sugar to counteract the medication for lowering the sugar. That’s like prescribing a pillow to hold on your forehead to counteract the hammer we told you to hit yourself with.

I'm from South Africa just diagnosed with skin cancer on my leg and on the same day diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. I'm now following the banting diet which is similar to keto. Doc, I always tell people about your work and videos. Thank you! I lost both parents to cancer. My mom had stage IV stomach and dad’s cancer started in the prostate. It metastasized to bone, then lungs & brain. My dad had been on dialysis for over 15 years. I now know that ALL of my family’s conditions were diet/food related & caused. I went Keto then Carnivores back in 2016. It changed my life!
This is probably one of, if not THE most important interviews on the internet at the moment. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS!!!! I do hope you will make a second interview about alzheimers, and parkinsons.
Keto eating has changed our lives.....My wife & I have been maintaining 25g or less net.carbohydrates for the last 3 years and the difference is incredible for both of us.
My dad was always drinking that ensure, he had colon cancer at 91 years old. People would say, we'll, he lived a long life...me: he could have lived longer!
A relative died of colon cancer. My hubby’s mom had her breast remove bec of cancer. My granddad died of lung cancer. My hubby’s dad died of diabetes and all his 3 siblings too. My cousin and uncle had throat cancer. So much cancer around. But going back to our grandparents’ generation, nobody died or had cancer. Nobody. That made me think something is wrong with our recent lifestyle. This thought came to me more than 29 years ago. Now, 2022 I am convinced, yes! It is what we eat! Processed food mainly sugar/carbs! So many deaths!
Did any of your relatives that had throat cancer smoke (including e-cigs and weed), live in a high air pollution area, or work in a coal, chemical, pesticide, plastic, or petroleum industry?
I'd say you have that correct - and the science supports it. The most important health and lifestyle decision you make every day is what's on the end of your fork.
@@dr.davidg.harper368 I have cancer in my left kidney urethral and into the kidney. I am on Keto with veges I was on carnivore but since the protein is converted to a form of suger I work with veges. I have lost 53 lbs on keto.
My Dad died of a glioblastoma a few years ago. Horrible diagnosis and prognosis! I remember asking his oncologist about dietary recommendations and he said “feed him anything he wants.” Dad always had a sweet tooth, so my family brought him ice cream, cakes, pies, etc. when they would visit. I have a medical background and read about ketogenic diets for neurological disorders and Otto Warburg’s research. So I knew his advice was a bad idea. Dad’s decline and death was swift, but incredibly painful 😢 I guess the silver lining is that now I have this knowledge and can follow a low-carb, high fat diet - and cook that way for my family as well. Thank you for this interview and all you do!
I've been on Keto for some time, but recently decided to go full-blown carnivore. I'm "forced" to eat steak, beacon, ham, and eggs all the time. OMG, what a torment! ~snicker~
Mucosal melanoma here. Had surgery to remove a polyp that caused an endless bloody nose. The ENT thought it was benign but it was mucosal melanoma. I had been keto for several years to address prediabetes, which I did successfully, before my polypectomy. The pathology report came back mucosal melanoma. I started Opdivo and Yervoy before margin surgery. They removed my right middle turbinate and they found no cancer in the sample at all. I managed three doses of immunotherapy and continued keto. I had my tumor analyzed genetically and one marker suggested that the tumor would grow quickly with glucose and insulin. I continue keto and also take metformin to keep insulin low. I was diagnosed in April 2021 and started immunotherapy then. Margin surgery in May 2021. I developed colitis from immunotherapy so managed 3 doses only. I get quarterly scans and continue keto and metformin with no evidence of disease. I think keto was fundamental in limiting the damage of my cancer and keeping me clear after immunotherapy and surgery.
Such a great conversation!! Keto/low carb has changed my life! I thought I was headed for a hip replacement and 3 months into Keto no pain. My blood panel (functional medicine doc large blood work) has gotten better. I'm 60 years old and healthier than I have ever been. I was a vegan for a long time and sick as anything. Grateful for my health!

Wow, this was a great discussion 👏🏽 Thank you Dr. Berry & Dr. Harper. I've been adhering to the keto and intermittent fasting (primarily OMAD) lifestyle almost 6 years now. I water-only fast for a minimum of 18 hours a day, up to 23 hours. I'm so fat adapted that I never feel hungry, tired, weak etc. I work my full 8hr day in a fasted state, I workout fasted.. etc. When I eat, I eat good. When I had Stage 3 metastatic cancer in 2005 and preparing for surgeries etc - they pushed Ensure and Boost drinks saying I needed the extra nutrients since my body was under stress. Unbelievable. What a crock of 💩 I tell anyone I know who may've received a "C" diagnosis and/or who has diabetes etc, to seriously consider keto & IF Anyways, so grateful I did my thorough research on keto and IF and continue to do so even though I already know the amazing benefits 💪🏽💜
I too have kidney cancer and I am intermittent fasting with OMAD, I have lost 53lbs and my tumor has reduced by 50%. Due to protein converting to a form of sugar I don't eat much meat .
So did you ever get the surgery in 2005 and what was the outcome? Or are you cancer free now without the surgery simply because of your dietary changes?
@@7x779 Thanks for your question. Yes I did undergo cancer surgery in 2005.. in fact two surgeries about 3 wks apart. Was initially prepped to receive radiation therapy after the surgeries however, my oncologist decided against it and instead decided to monitor me every 3 months with CT and MRI scans for the first year or so. I've been cancer free since 2005 🙏🏽 I only started implementing intermittent fasting and keto about 6 yrs ago for its plethora of health benefits *and* for cancer prevention. This fasting/eating lifestyle is therapeutic 🧘🏽♀️✌🏽
My friend died at age 46 of HR2 neg. metastatic breast cancer. She had great care in general but no one ever told her to change her diet that was a high sugar and junk food version of the SAD. She was 60 pounds overweight but always had good blood work through 15 months of chemo and radiation. I knew that her diet was not helping, but convincing someone about the benefits of keto and carnivore when the docs don't even know about it was impossible. I think it also speaks to how inadequate traditional bloodwork is in reflecting someone's health.
Yes. For example, a person’s fasting blood glucose might be relatively low at the same time that his insulin level, which is usually not checked, might have been rising for decades. So the person might be one point away from being prediabetic, but because the line was not crossed, everything can seem all right, that the threat of diabetes isn’t a problem, all the while that the threat of diabetes could have been seen to have been a problem if the insulin level, which keeps blood glucose down, had been checked. Also, the standard reference ranges on your blood test, which should show numbers that reflect optimal health, often merely show numbers that reflect what’s normal for the average unhealthy person.
I am a skinny sugar addict, never get fat, but my teeth rotted and I developed severe adult acne. I also was extremely emotional. I was exhausted all the time, couldn't get out of bed. Thanks for mentioning skinny people. On carnivore now. AMAZING!
Over the years I have read much regarding fasting, the Gerson Raw Food diet, mega dosing Vitamin C, green juice fasting etc… for cancer treatment. These modalities seem to be successful for some people but what you are teaching makes perfect sense. It would seem Gerson and green juice have the potential for too many carbs. Dr Berry, could you please discuss the above in a future podcast, it would be very much appreciated.
We shop at Sam`s Club a lot, We go down nearly all the isles getting the items we use, There is about 5-6 isles we never go down, The wife and I call those the Diabetes isles, and everything in those are high carb items. When I was going to the gym I mentioned to my trainer that I wanted to try the keto diet as my current diet was high carbs. She told me that I would die of keto acidosis. I told her that’s only in diabetics when they cannot regulate the glucose levels.
You are correct. Trainers are often purveyors of misinformation, especially when it comes to nutrition. There are good ones out there though. Maybe this question could be your first screen?
I have a strong family history of cancer ! I have been keto / carnivore almost 4 1/2 years now … and I’m so glad I know I will likely beat the odds ! Thanks for helping to save lives , both of you !
there is ZERO evidence to support the claim carnivore will keep you cancer free. On the contrary. a high meat diet INCREASES the odds of getting cancer.
After watching this informative and educative episode, I bought Dr Harper’s book Bio Diet. I read the entire book in one sitting (4.5 hours ). Educatively it's a page-turner. I highly recommend the book. Thank you again to Drs Berry and Harper -- two real and great doceres -- for this presentation.

My father passed in 2017 from stomach cancer… he was given 6 months to live in 2015. I suspect he lived three times longer than expected because it was difficult to eat and he stayed active. He was essentially forced to intermittent fast every day. Wish he knew what I’ve been learning over the last three or four months about keto/carnivore.

Recently diagnosed with metastatic stage 3 uterine, cervical and bladder cancer...oncologist said to eat cheeseburgers, pizza, anything greasy and loads of sweets... my primary physician said plant based only...I have already been through chemo and radiation, now waiting my 3 months before they test again. I've lost 90lbs with plant based (raw) but my digestive system is in turmoil after a little over a month! I'm so glad this video was suggested to me. I'm going keto TODAY!
Love this video! I was doing keto long before it became the latest diet for good health. I'm Asian but I hate rice and noodles because I always have a tummy ache after I eat them and I don't like anything with sugar as well. People think I'm weird because I only eat veggies, avocado, salmon, butter, extra virgin olive oil and good meat. I really want to live a healthy and long life due to bad genetics. Both my parents family have metabolic diseases, heart disease, diabetes.
FANTASTIC Doctors Berry and Harper!!! Thank you for this episode. I have shared this with several (solid) cancer patients and their families I am caring for.
Got diagnosed with TNBC two years ago. Very aggressive type of BC. I got the tumour removed but refused any other treatment. It has a high risk of returning. Two years later I am FINALLY on carnivore. I hope it’s not too late. Two years after diagnosis I was eating carbs and sugars x100. Thanks Dr Berry!
I was dx with lobular breast cancer in 2015. I read Bullock's book and Susan Sommers books on cancer. I still went through radiation and surgery. I stopped tamoxifen when I suffered some bad side affects. I started some low carb but still had a problem with binging on sweets or carbs. Tried omad but got back on carbs and sweets. Recently I had a lamical gland adenoma removed. It was made up mainly of glycogen, carbohydrates and epithelial cells. So I'm trying a severe low carb. It could have become cancer if I had left it. It grew after the holidays when I overindulged! Nutritionists in oncology centers say sugar and carbs don't cause or feed cancer! The nutritionist said cancer was random or genetic. Now I'm a survivor for 9 years and avoid mammograms, pap smears etc. Stay away from most doctors!
Ditto here, cancer free just 3 years. So tired of hearing they need money to find a cancer cure. 😡 Just tell us the truth - carbs feed cancer. Cut out carbs and the problem goes away! So infuriating, and so sad to see all the senseless suffering. 😢
When I was teaching my online kids in China, we talked daily about what they had for lunch, dinner etc. It was mostly meat, chicken, pork, shrimp, meat-filled dumplings, some rice, or noodles with the meal, scrambled eggs with tomato, a small amount of tofu, some vegetables and some small amount of fruit as a snack...Western Chinese food seems to emphasize mountains of rice and noodles and a small dish of meat, so we should really look at what 'authentic' Chinese food is...The kids I taught over 5 years, who seemed to be gaining weight, decreased or low vitality and sickly, were the richer kids whose parents were too busy to cook and were eating a lot of fast food, especially KFC, McDonalds lots of french fries and Cola etc....
My 85 year old dad died of lung cancer just over a year ago during Covid lockdown. He was at home on hospice care with morbidly obese me helping my RN/PhD Mom caring for him. Though watching your videos already, I wouldn’t start keto/IF for a few more months, but was shocked to see him being given Ensure! Sadly, I am not surprised! ;-)
What did you learn?
Do you tell your patients what you have learnt ?

GLORY TO GOD!
:: Uncontrolled high blood sugar
Step 2: Where does the sugar come from
:: eating carbohydrates
Step 3: Test
:: Stop eating all carbs. Replaced with fat.
Step 4: wow! More testing!
:: Next day, 24 hours after initial test, BG level at 80 (from 250)
Step 5: Keep testing
:: at the 4 month follow up HbA1c was 5.5%
Step 6: CURED DIABETES
:: Continue to eat no carb, and watch for side effects.
😃Happy for you! Keep up the stellar work! ✌️✌️✌️

@SubRosa33 “strict” keto. Less than 20 total carbs per day max. Usually does under 10.
But has he gone zero carb. Has he stopped feeding it. 100% carnivore. The liver makes all the glucose the body needs to have. And that doesn’t leave room for cancers.

By doing Keto it helped me to beat my cancer. I had stage 3 ovarian cancer.
Hails from Port Jervis, NY
Did you have any other treatment? I had abdominal pain and was referred to a gynological oncologist. Before any tests conclusive or not, she began talking about colon resectioning and compete hysterectomy. That was back in March and after a cat scan, MRI and a colonoscopy that came out healthy, I havent been back. After a quickly scheduled colonoscopy before scheduled operation, and fasting, I noticed my pain subsided so I canceled that surgery
I now think that doctor and her colleges are out for money so I won't be back.

It is sad that egotists tend to get into medicine-rare to find those who actually care like Dr. Berry.
Shared with my dear brother who we is fighting cancer with all his might. As well as prayer he needs the right tool and guidance.

I agree. They are not giving me that poison. And they are not going to cut off any of my body parts.

I'm nearly 10 years in remission from lymphoma at the age of 17 - I hope to keep my body as healthy as possible as i age 🙏
My wife died of breast cancer 5 years ago. My gut reaction has been that her raw veg diet had something to do with her disease. Now, 6 weeks into a carnivore diet I am seeing positive results for the first time ever (for a diet). If only I had known this 10 years ago...
I'm sorry for your loss and wish that doctors had given us this information years ago.
If I had known back in 2013-2014 what I know now, I might have been able to save my mom from an auto-immune disease that turned into a blood lymphoma.
That's why it's important we get the accurate nutrition science to the general public ASAP.
@Bread Sandwich that is so wonderful and amazing to hear. Can you share any links or key words to look up on what you found or how you treated it?

Choosing Ketogenic Diet!
PS: I’ve lost those 80 lbs and maintained that weight for a year.

Thanks Tashira. We see this kind of positive response often enough to consider it "typical". I wish more people knew.
That is encouraging to hear. Thanks and I send best wishes that your condition continues to improve.

Sadly, I laughed. It demonstrates that physicians are not, typically, experts in nutrition. Some are, but that's the exception.

GBM is one of the cancers that has good clinical evidence for the effectiveness of a well-formulated ketogenic diet as an adjunct therapy. Hyperbaric therapy, coordinated with radiation seems to work well.

I too have kidney cancer and I am intermittent fasting with OMAD, I have lost 53lbs and my tumor has reduced by 50%. Due to protein converting to a form of sugar I don't eat much meat .
I fast for Autophagy about twice a month 2or 3 days each time. Ps. It saves meat money to,:-)
So did you ever get the surgery in 2005 and what was the outcome? Or are you cancer free now without the surgery simply because of your dietary changes?
@@7x779 Thanks for your question.
Yes I did undergo cancer surgery in 2005.. in fact two surgeries about 3 wks apart. Was initially prepped to receive radiation therapy after the surgeries however, my oncologist decided against it and instead decided to monitor me every 3 months with CT and MRI scans for the first year or so.
I've been cancer free since 2005 🙏🏽
I only started implementing intermittent fasting and keto about 6 yrs ago for its plethora of health benefits *and* for cancer prevention.
Thanks for sharing Jen. It's why we're conducting research on the issue.
I TOTALLY AGREE the blood test is Sooo INADEQUATE.
so you are saying one can have good blood work but still be unhealthy?
so you are saying one can have good blood work but still be unhealthy?
Both my parents died from Cancer. I've been ketovore for the last 14 months and have lost 55#
😚👌🍃
We shop at Sam`s Club a lot, We go down nearly all the isles getting the items we use, There is about 5-6 isles we never go down, The wife and I call those the Diabetes isles, and everything in those are high carb items.
Been on low carb for a few years, feel totally awesome.
I`ll be 75 in a week, healthier now than I was at 55.
Lost sister with cancer. I do keto 5 year survivor from cancer myself.
Praise Jesus! That’s amazing!!! May God bless you and your husband with a long, happy life together!
I had a nurse tell me the same thing.
Ketoacidosis is caused by high glucose and no insulin.
I have a strong family history of cancer ! I have been keto / carnivore almost 4 1/2 years now … and I’m so glad I know I will likely beat the odds ! Thanks for helping to save lives , both of you !
You are welcome! Please help us spread the word by sharing with others.
You got this!
there is ZERO evidence to support the claim carnivore will keep you cancer free. On the contrary. a high meat diet INCREASES the odds of getting cancer.
From what I hear, cancer is a metabolic disease, not a hereditary disease.
OK , keto for 4.5 years . How are you now ? Is it working ?
After watching this informative and educative episode, I bought Dr Harper’s book Bio Diet. I read the entire book in one sitting (4.5 hours ). Educatively it's a page-turner. I highly recommend the book. Thank you again to Drs Berry and Harper -- two real and great doceres -- for this presentation.
Thanks so much!
So why does my Oncologist have a big candy bowl by the check in counter? I told nurses and doctors about cancer feeds on sugar, they looked at me like I ha two heads! I learned it during my Pet-Scan
Maybe you should ask if they have a smoke? LOL
Must watch this. Just bought Dr. Harper's book. Two great sources of useful information! Just hearing how much it will cost this country to treat the diabetes is mindblowing.
And thanks to you too!
Pls bring this info to the ones that need it most. Blue collar workers. They drink energy drinks to manage their work load. WORK SAFE courses need to include this info
It’s the same in healthcare 😬
Good point - thanks Mila. I deliberately kept the cost of my book as low as possible and available in all formats so it was more accessible to folks in lower socioeconomic groups. They have the highest rates of metabolically-related chronic disease.
San Antonio Texas. I was diagnosed with endometrial cancer stage 3c. I was just introduced to the carnivore and ketovore diet to work on starving my cancer.
Yes, starv your C and gain nutrition for your body 😊
This was absolutely brilliant. Please do another collaboration soon! Thank you for your passion and dedication to share this important information - those who care to listen will change the projectory of their lives and those of their loved ones.
I'd be delighted to. We could only really scratch the surface of some issues.
Keto Is amazing! Make sure you take electrolytes...especially good sea salt
I actually went carnivore! I feel great and so far there is NED 😊
I found you a couple months ago and really appreciate the information you give out. Its nice to have someone speak our language. Thank you!
FANTASTIC Doctors Berry and Harper!!! Thank you for this episode. I have shared this with several (solid) cancer patients and their families I am caring for.
Thanks for sharing this!
Thank you! Dr. Harper has been another fantastic and knowledgeable guest.
Thanks Mark!
One of the best interviews ever...thank you Dr. Berry...Very informative. I really enjoyed it 👍
Thanks Paris. That is rewarding and encouraging to hear.
And... just finished a 3 day fast and feel great. Great energy and strength before and after fast.
Thanks for your video and good info.
I try to warn others and they all look at me like I'm crazy, cause surely the American Cancer Society would let us know if it was that easy, right? So infuriating, and so sad to see all the senseless suffering. 😢
Watch Dr. Thomas Seyfried. He specializes in Metabolic cause of cancer.
Good point. Campbell's (in)famous China Study misrepresents the true diet IMHO.
It was all he “ate” towards the end, and with all that sugar, he said he liked it!!!
If only I had learned this earlier, I may have dramatically extended his life & health!
I’ve now lost 80 of 125 pounds I gained since brain surgery/carbamazepine (carbamazepine/Tegretol depletes HORMONE D LEVELS, leading quickly to loss of homeostasis of BG, Insulin & other hormones!) It doubled my size from previous bike racing athletic physique.
Indeed, the processed food industry knows how to make foods we like to consume. It would be nice if it was also healthy.
@@dr.davidg.harper368 BigFood, BigAg & PHARMA are all colluding to feed us profitably addictive crap that will sicken us and make us chronically dependent on PHARMA in one insanely profitable loop.
To top it off, they tell us to avoid the life-giving, immune-enhancing sunlight, so we are also miserably D deficient/insufficient.
Yup, exactly same with my husband and giving cookies/juice during chemo! I squashed that quickly!
I lost 80lbs, reversed my fatty liver, all my health problems went away, my pb is 127/8, my arthritis is 80% better and been keeping it off for over 5 years doing Keto and IF! I’m 61 but feel like I’m in my 20’s! My brother wasn’t so lucky and passed from None alcohol Cirrhosis of the liver that turned into liver cancer and suffered from a stroke for over 5 years before passing.
I'm sorry to hear that about your brother. Glad you have found a solution that works for you!
My condolence to youR family, may I ask you what is IF (Keto and IF) Thank for your responce.
@@chfl7506 Thanks, Intermittent Fasting
I’ve also watched videos with Dr. Thomas Seyfried about fasting and keto to help with cancer. I have breast cancer and am eating keto instead of chemo and radiation.
How have you been doing?
Have you looked into dewormers soursop and apricot kernals?
I believe he mentions glutamine inhibitors also. They pulse it as cancer feeds on glutamine also.
Sydney, Australia. Thank you for your efforts in educating the world, Dr. I’m not fully keto, but one meal a day is, and my second and last meal every day may include a smalll amount of basmati rice (my wife is Persian), or potato (I’m Irish). I’ve lost 23 kg sinceFebruary 2022.
Lakeland,FL.
Been following you for about a year. Have been taken off many meds, lost weight, greatly improved lab numbers.
Watching from Maine. I have two women with cancer at my church. Thank you for doing this. I will definitly share this.
16/8 fasting for 3 years. MAGICAL!!
Our data indicates that is the best way to go about it.
