@@vickyjackson3131 hi Vicky ~ how old are you? I’m 64 and have been feeling just Awful for over 2 years now. Had to take early retirement to take care of myself. All my blood work says I’m “normal”. But I feel FAR from normal. Some of my blood tests are at the LOW end of their “normal” chart.
When did you start HRT? I need help. Badly.

Same for me Liz, the first thing I noticed from day one of taking estrogen gel was how well I slept. The fatigue literally disappeared from the first application. I’d been suffering with sleep problems for YEARS prior … it’s shocking how many woman must be suffering the same thing, just shocking!

It’s amazing how no one talks about this fact of life that deeply affects more than half of the human population and can be incredibly altering. It’s a shame so many women are either in the dark or having to do battle for simple and needed treatment. Having listened to now hundreds of videos in the subject I can safely say your contributions are insightful and rich with detail that can help many-thank you!

If men went through the menopause, there would be no end of talk about it and there would be plenty of treatments, widely available.

I've just come across this video and I must thank you. I'm 43 and have been suffering with bad anxiety, plus low mood , tearful, heart palpitations, forgetfulness, and tiredness for 3 years now, my dr gave me antidepressants at the beginning which helped as I was going through lots of changes in life at the time. But as I got through my changes I stopped the antidepressants but was still having symptoms, my periods which were 100% regular had started to go wild !!! for 3 years I was fighting with my gp over this , I had various blood tests , all coming back normal, heart trace and 24 hour trace all normal . I ended up in a & e twice with chest pains over this . My mother then asked me if I had thought about the menopause? I thought I was too young but as it happens she had gone through in her early 40's. The a&e dr suggested HRT. When going back to my gp she said she couldn't prescribe HRT to me as I hadn't stopped my periods , but she suggested a menopause specialist who I went to see and she was brilliant , she actually told me exactly what you have said on here. She gave me a private prescription for the exact same gel spray and tablets you are using. But like you said I have read the leaflet and pushed it all to one side. Listening to this video i am now prepared to give it ago 😬, so thank you for this information very much appreciated.

Thank you for a wonderfully informing video. I am off to the doctor next week to get sorted with some HRT. Eight years I have been scared of it, but now thanks to you and other amazing women out there I am finally taking the plunge!!!
We suffer in silence thinking this is our lot in life or we are just are not worth bothering with now we are over fifty and on the scrap heap so to speak. It makes me so bloody mad 😡 Anyway I am an optimist, and talk to other women a lot about all this and if I can encourage women to take the plunge like me, if I only help one woman feel better that’s brilliant 👍 best wishes 🌻

Not true. The world, social media, our culture says all kinds of nasty things about women but just know that Jesus Christ died for you he died for ALL women. He was in fact born to a woman and he loved women. You are loved by him he died for you he just wants to believe on him and have faith that he is who he says he is.
      He loves you.

My doktor bescribed me a Lanzzeto and Utrogestan vaginaly every second night. I have had it three month at home and I was to scared to use it. Even my ginecologist said that I could get a brest canser. And than things got so worse with my anxiety and no sleep that 4 days ago I started with HRT. We went on holiday and I nearly lost my nerves and was so sad and worry and without joy. But I took my HRT with me and than I found youre video and I can't tell you how happy I am to finnally start with HRT. And after 4 days I am a different woman. Thank you 😊😊😊

The poor lady was not offered HRT as it is not common to prescribe it in India. She is still suffering, but I guess she is now out of the window of opportunity, as they say.

So I stopped it. But now thanks to you all I'm more informed and I am going to try the patch etc.

Elizabeth, I am the same age as you, traumatic few perimenopause years, menopause at 55. Still have symptoms, but the kind that are not 'classic' so get swept under the carpet. Never considered HRT, just because it is not really a thing in India. But now feel like I would like to come out of this perpetual 'low' that I feel, unmotivated, simply lacking joy state that I am in. You are really lucky to have got the care you deserved. Could I ask you if you plan to continue being on HRT for life? During the 20 years, were you on the same meds, same dosage? What form did you take the meds, i.e., tablets, patch...? Any side effects at all? Are medical professionals in your country not worried about the risk of breast cancer or do they a different take on it? Please share whatever information you can, it will help me and maybe help other too.

Thank you so much for this very informative video it has helped me so much
My mother died from breast cancer in her forties and her doctor told us it was the HRT that she was on that caused it
This was over twenty years ago now so I know things have changed but I still have a fear of taking it.
I am 51 and have had hot flushes; night sweats which have now disappeared and I now have other symptoms, terrible insomnia
Headaches, bad anxiety, low energy, palpitations. I have always believed that I just have to put up with it because of my mum but maybe
there is a chance that I could take it and start to feel like me again.
    Thank you so much xx

Thanks so much Liz like your daughter Lilly I suffer from chronic migraine, I have spoken to you before about it, I was advised by an endocrinologist to go on HRT to try for my extreme fatigue Iv been suffering but was worried about trying it due to my migraines but after listening to your videos I think it’s worth asking the gp for non tablet form and seeing how it goes. I will let you know if it goes ok, I never actually thought about it before but maybe that’s why my migraines have been so bad because I’m going through my menopause. I can’t thank you enough for the information you have given. Kind regards Andrea payne (Glow beauty Essex)

I've been to a few diffrent gynecologist and every time they tell me you're not nearly menopause. In my late thirties they told me you're too young to be in menopause. It's infuriating that doctors aren't educated on menopause symptoms. Basically I had to diagnosed myself because my gynecologist woulden't listen. My daughter will know everything I went through. I don't want her to think she's going crazy.

I’m 55 and just started hrt five days ago and the gynaecologist said I can only be on hrt for a year then go off it and start low and slow with one pump of oestrogel a day for three months and progesterone capsule daily. Then I have to go back to her to see how it’s going to decide if I can up the oestrogen. I’ve suffered so much for years and got no help up until now and I’m so disappointed she said I can’t stay on it longer term 😢. I know now why I’ve had palpitations for years. Got sent to the cardiologist and no issue. Then last week saw Oprah talking about her issue with palpitations. I haven’t slept properly for at least two years because of hot flushes and the gp prescribed antidepressant and told me I have anxiety and depression … I finally hope I’m on the right track

    bringing up breast cancer risk
and also my blood pressure which is perfectly fine when I don't attend the surgery. I have even been told I will have to stop hrt when I am 60 when I
was just 54. I dread asking for my repeat prescriptions. I have tried to come off hrt twice but then I feel so rotten but you have given me the confidence to be more assertive

Ppl in the UK or the EU might throw shade on the US healthcare system but my providers are unshackled and are free to think out of the box and prescribe as they feel is in the best for their patients’ best interest - in partnership WITH their patients. Mine listen to me and I get exemplary care. And since I studied and worked hard to have a job that provides good healthcare insurance, my co-pays are very affordable and I have a great choice of providers plus my prescriptions are almost always inexpensive. My regulated body-identical HRT >oral estradiol and progesterone - costs very, very little and I am feeling better than I have in a long time. Even if I didn’t have health insurance there is also the freedom to work with affordable independent telehealth practitioners that are very forward thinking and work right along with the patient as a team approach as well.

If more women took HRT the costs for the NHS would actually come down, as HRT is proven to cut risk of heart disease (biggest killer of women) by 50%, we well as dramatically reduce risk of colon cancer, T2 diabetes, osteoporosis etc. So would actually be beneficial!
