Thank you so much ladies for doing the work you are doing!! I have been going to my GP now for 5 years with different systems not sleeping was told to take herbal tablets!! Joint pain was told it’s wear and tear!! Heart palpitations!! Had bloods taking ecg then heard nothing else!! I’m 52 years old and two weeks ago I had a stroke and was told this was due to hypertension!! After watching your program on channel 4 this made me feel that I had been totally let down by my GP!! I rang the very next day to say I want to be on HRT to be told this may not be aloud now I have had. Stroke!! Feel like if this would have been picked up when I first went to my GP i would t have gone through what I’m going through now!! So you keep doing what your doing it’s amazing and helping us in ways you’d never know!!❤️❤️
What an eye opening discussion. I’m feeling already so much more calmer after listening to this. I’ve a telephone consultation with my GP and now I’m fully prepared to explain to her what I need and what I deserve. I can’t even believe that we have to fight for our right to care for ourselves. Only you know can make the decision whether HRT will work but I’m confident that’ll be exactly what my body needs. Thank you to these two fabulous ladies. Absolute trailblazers 🙏🏼👍🏼😁
Thank you so very much for sharing your wisdom and experience. I was told I had depression, anxiety, possibly personality disorder about 15 years ago by both Dr's and my ex-husband and everything went from bad to worse. Thankfully found a GP who specialised in HRT which has made a huge difference these last few years. It's fantastic that you are all bringing this 'taboo' subject to light and it brings me hope for the younger generations to be properly cared for. Best wishes.
My gosh, I cannot even EXPRESS how very much this information is valuable. I'm 68 and NO ONE has every talked to me about hormones or HRT. My Internal Medicine Dr. just insisted I have a Mammogram because I was put on vaginal Estradiol a year ago and she is concerned about breast cancer. WHY DOESN'T SHE KNOW that there is 0 chance of that with vaginal estrogen? WHY? Why don't these Drs who are our "Front Line of defense" - KNOW about these things? I've suffered immensely for over a year with extreme dryness, pain, and Itch. I went to urgent care, and my Drs office multiple times. My Internal Medicine DR. (who acts as my GP) told me It's "not her area" That's REALLY A LOT of help when you're suffering. I made an apt with a urogyn - but had to wait 4 LONG painful months to see her. Everyone I had seen said, I had a yeast infection, or I was just extremely DRY and needed to apply Desitin or a topical moisturizer. So angry. Once I got to that apt, the Dr. I saw was wonderful and immediately know I had an autoimmune disease "Lichen Schlerosus" which she felt was definitely came on the heels/was instigated by having hormone deficiency from Menopause. Women do not realize that Hormone imbalanc (or complete lack of estrogen) can cause inflammation which snowballs into other horrible conditions.
I’ve struggled with peri menopause for 3 years. Over the last year through great podcasts like this. I’ve managed to get on HRT and it has been life changing. I can’t thank you both enough for raising accurate evidence based research.
Ladies, thank you so much. Louise I watched your podcast this week with James Smith which I’ve shared with many friends who have Inturn shared with their friends. I’m 47 and had a hysterectomy at 40. I’ve suffered for the last few years feeling exhausted but working and forcing hard exercise through this. I was offered anti depressants last year by a female Dr which I refused. I have purchased your amazing book this week and felt armed to contact the Dr again this week. I spoke to a nurse who was extremely helpful i am happy to say I’m now on the oestrogen gel. Thank you so so much forever grateful xx
oh my god i was the exact same. I left my job three years ago and just realised this week what it was this whole time. Its a pure disgrace that women don't have early knowledge on it.
Thank you so much Dr Newson, you are doing phenomenal work. Your kindness and compassion shines! Please keep up your great work as it is giving new life to women in need. Thank you!
So glad I watched this it truly lifted my mood. I’ve been feeling so low and hopeless recently my female managers don’t understand and ignore my issues I feel very alone at times but this made me positive. I am recently on oestrogen gel and tablet progesterone and it’s definitely been the one that’s worked for me. My previous gp put me on sertraline which I’m still taking but want to come off it soon. It’s bad enough going through this awful thing but having to try and explain time and time again to my managers is exhausting so much so that I know don’t talk to them at all. I’m very lucky that I have an amazing new gp who knows a lot about menopause. I’m going to tell her she has literally saved my life. I also take care of my mum who has Alzheimer’s and it’s seems easier for everyone to blame that on my mental problems rather than menopause it’s very saddening. Any way thanks for all your work 🥰
I’ve been crying all weekend and now I’m so bloody angry I have felt like I was going mad, but every time I go to the doctor she has said women over 60 should take HRT well I’m going back tonight !! Armed with information
I use the balance app and found Dr Newson website so informative, definitely look over if you havent already and arm yourself with info to take to your doctors. I just hope through all the forums, webinars and talks with healthcare professionals outlooks will change to realise HRT is not a bad thing. Keep up the good work ladies.
My Main symptom was anxiety and the feeling of being unloved. Was awful. Felt I was losing my mind, not just where I parked the car.. HRT saved me. I remain on a patch, hopefully for life..
this makes me so so angry that HRT is so difficult for women to get. God if this is not discrimination i do not know what is. I can only imagine if men had all the issues we have in Menopause, there would be vending machines in the Bathrooms for medicine lol ! Here in Quebec Bio identical hormones are not covered by our insurance, it is crazy. I am fortunate to be able to pay for the meds, but at 200-250$ a month many women will not be able to. Women it's time to get angry again and shake and move things. We need to advocate for our right to receive treatment. I am just hitting 49 and am shocked to realise also the silence we women still hold around our menopause. I am so grateful for women like you both who are transparent and open. We have nothing to be ashamed of about going through perimenopause, we need to reclaim our bodies and our right to be at our best.
Thank you both so much for this and the programme, here in Ireland a radio presenter Joe Duffy, has done a weeks air time on menopause, it started as one part of his show on one day but the response was so strong it ended up in a week's airtime ... we need help because half the population literally feel like they are going mad and it's their own fault 😢 thank you, thank you, thank you 💞💞💞💞
Caroline I listened to Joe all week and it was brilliant that so many women talked about their ailments which was such a help. I am going through it at 54 and the worst thing is the pain all through my body and lack of sleeping. It's like I changed overnight feeling old. I loved the program that Davina did it was great covering all topics
@@shivvy67 I actually cried Siobhan listening to them cause you feel like your the only one and that you must be imagining it or feeling sorry for yourself .... I miss me, I used to find the craic in everything now I'm too sore, tired and cranky to relax and enjoy anything or anyone. I went to the doctors 5 years ago, I'm 52, and because I got upset talking to him he gave me a prescription for antidepressants and sent me to the mental health clinic when I just needed someone to listen 🤬 the fire is lit under me now, I'm not stopping this time till I get sorted. Take care of yourself and I hope you'll get help too ❤
So much of what you say resonates with me, thank you. One more frustration for me, on top of over 10 years of misdiagnosed/undiagnosed menopause systems, is cost. I'm a Brit in Canada and HRT (called HT here) is not covered by BC Healthcare, so it costs me $116/mth - which is cost prohibitive for me. They cover the multitude of antidepressants, sleep aids and stimulants that I've been prescribed that don't work. The scans, mri, ecg and all the other tests that came back clear were also covered, but HT that could actually help resolve the symptoms that were being tested for? Nope. $116/mth. I don't know what to do!
Thank you so so much for doing these videos to Dr Newson & Davina!! Such an eye opener! I feel less alone with my recent symptoms now. My mum took HRT years ago. I worried back then about the risks. But now it should be much safer hopefully.

Devina your wonderful ❤️ enjoyed your discussion with the doctor. I am so emotional. I am going through all the symptoms you have discussed without realising and don't know where to. turn to.
Great info, I was going through awful perimenopause symptoms in 1st lockdown! I knew it wasn't a depression, I knew it was something I was lacking. Phoned my GP she said I was too young for the menopause at 46 so I had a thyroid test it was a bit low I take 50mg medication. Still didn't feel right, I phoned my GP again and spoke to a male doctor I made sure I had everything written down explained that I work and run a household!! I need Hrt. He went through what I could take. Now I take evorel conti 50 patches feeling better, still knackered after work, I might see about getting a stronger dose.
Thank you, it has helped me so much listening to all the information you have shared. I am just about to go on HRT but first have to have blood tests to rule out any other health problems. I wished I would have known I could of raised the point about the nice guidlines and got my GP to start me on HRT right away. It was me that asked if it could be the menopause not the Dr. I am lucky my line manager and colleagues are so understanding and they mentioned before anyone it could be the menopuse. I felt like I was going insane, can't concertrate or focus, falling behind in work messing everything up. One GP has been awful I have been going with muscle weakeness, poor balance, tearful. joint pain for over to years and she never even suggested peri menopause or menpause. She even said oh poor you in a very condersending way leaving me feel more upset and anxious than I was before I had the appointment. I am glad a good friend prompted me to listen to you I feel much better now as well about taking HRT. I did not realise it helped prevent heart attacks, dementia...... Thank you both. x
It’s now 13.05.21 and I’ve just watched the documentary . If you haven’t already, can highly recommend it . So grateful to all the people who are battling to bring attention to this 🌞
Starting my patch today I had a doctor appointment and because of Dr Louise I knew what to ask for and what is better thank you for advice I have been so ill for 1 year and it's been crazy xx
I had my ovaries and uterus surgically taken out when I was 46 in 2019 due to severe endometriosis and fibroids in my uterus and was put on HRT immediately after my procedure, which I am grateful for. I had been on the same type of HRT for 2 years but decided to pay for a private specialist to check if my hormone levels were normal and if I was taking the right HRT dosage. I don't think most of us women realise that we need to really see a specialist to determine if we are taking the correct dosage for HRT or check if we have some kind of hormone imbalance that needs to be dealt with. Most of us also don't have the economic means to pay for a specialist as most insurance companies do not cover these visits. I also agree that most GPs don't know how to deal with HRT for women they are completely clueless from my past experience and will always defer to a specialist which is why I ended up paying for a private consultation.
Thank you for this! I would love to see a blood panel recommendation for normal or optimal estrogen levels and progesterone levels for 50+ year old women.
Can I join your hrt advocate army? I'm an RN who had to quit due to meno symptoms. Hrt helped me not commit suicide. I still am struggling with insomnia, alopecia, low confidence, motivation and libido but at least my husband doesn't need to hide all the sharp knives when he goes to work and leaves me home alone.
I have found the emotional symptoms of the menopause particularly difficult to deal with. I recommend the Menopause Matters website for anyone interested in learning more about this time in our lives.
Been binge watching all the videos I can on the subject of menopause. Recently went to my gp and discussed my going on hrt as I'm 2 and a half years post menopause. Did my my BP to find it's raised on one arm and normal on the other so said he'd need to research before he prescribed anything for me. A bit disappointed as haven't heard anything back from him yet.
Omg amazing ladies . It’s so positive to see their is a light at the end of the tunnel . I use my Balance app it’s so good . Thank you ladies for keeping the good fight going xxxx
Thank you for this video, Davina is the reason, I’m now on HRT thank you so much. I’m still struggling but it’s getting better thank you so much Guys for this. It’s taken me 7 years of the menopause too take this step. To helping myself, I did not take HRT as I lost my mum when I was 20 she was 53 when she passed with breast cancer that was 1986. A long time ago and medicine has come on I know. I reached a point this year I had no choice but to try this. praying we all get the results we need. My antidepressants are definitely not working.
I keep going on sites and half the women think HRT are bad for them.....I tried sending them Dr Louise and Davinas information.....and when I'd sent a few replies with videos on a few sites Facebook stopped me sending videos....its ridiculous....women need to know this stuff
Thank you for doing this Davina and Dr Newson. I started Perimenopause in the first lockdown (or probably before) and finally got a gp appointment a month ago. I was given Kliovance 1mg/0.5mg. So far I haven't noticed an improvement in my "irritability" (anger) or energy. I am 53, a stroke survivor (2014) and am already on multitudes of medication. I was surprised to be given tablets rather than a patch or cream. I wasn't offered testosterone yet x
Today I started the body identical HRT provided by a nurse at my surgery. I actually didn’t have any problem getting it, I had a private blood test showing my oestrogen very low I also having problems to sleep and massive anxiety, I said I wanted the bioidentical but she said the safer are body identical, I called today I said I want to do it then my prescription was sent to the chemist I collected it and I have a patch on my leg now.

@@hasinapatel1233 hi, it had so much side effects on me that I took it for 4 weeks, I had horrible palpitations, anxiety horrendous, I was having problems to go to the toilet awful drugs, the first week my fibroids started to grow again because of the hormones and it was awful and I had a horrible UTI. I wouldn’t recommend that to anyone, I keep myself in good shame either alternative medicine, herbs, good food, meditation and I walk everyday.
As a RN I am appalled at the sheer MALPRACTICE of the “researchers” who knowingly pushed false &/or cherry-picked data. They should face sanctions, discipline- perhaps lost their licenses. The women who were damaged & the families of the women who DIED should sue for damages. Personally, when I began to enter menopause my gyn would only offer vaginal estrogen cream which did little but barely improve lubrication. Now almost 10 years later the benefits of actual oral HRC are almost moot but I’m still going to try.
It is my birthday today and I keep crying and crying because I have so many of these symptoms. I am off work and told it is all down to anxiety and dissociation, I am alone and have not 0 support, support is just totally out of reach because I don´t live in the UK and here is Spain everything is a disaster. I have been told all the usual, it is normal, it will go, put up with it in the meantime, I suffer constant confusion, lose everything, feel alone(obviously), my self esteem is totally gone, I don´t want to go to the beach, to the gym, be seen... I live the worse period of my life AND with long periods every 3 weeks. All my tests are fine. Hell on earth.
I have so many questions: 1. How do I know I need to increase my oestrogen when I’m on a prescription patch? (I have 50mg patch and I have noticed if I leave one patch on when I apply the new one for 24 hours I feel better than removing it straight away). 2. How do I get a NHS to prescribe me off licence testosterone? 3.Should I come off my antidepressants that I was prescribed pre HRT 4. I have the Mariana Coil, if I have that removed what can I have that isn’t pill based to replace the progesterone on the NHS. 5. How can I make my GP surgery more aware of how our hormones are so important, I have brought my hormones up in my surgery for years and was only given HRT when I told them there is a family history of osteoarthritis.
I've been referred to a menopause clinic in glasgow, but they said I would have to wait a year. I went to the nurse and she asked me what I would like to go on and I asked her for advice and she said she didn't know.
Thank you for such a wonderful live. I am a recent Breast cancer survivor struggling with menopause symptoms after treatment and on tamoxifen. I feel as if I just have to accept ‘my lot’ but at 51 it’s so depressing to think I could have these symptoms for years. Where can I access your booklet Louise it might help me make an informed choice. So pleased Davina is bringing the media attention to this huge, important medical crisis for women.
I was in a similar situation to yourself, I have been prescribed HRT by Dr Louise's clinic , I had breast cancer 20 odd years ago , I was sent the leaflet after my latest telephone appt with one oh the Doctors there. Maybe you could phone the clinic direct and ask if they could post a copy out to you.
Hi ladies, your such an inspiration on here,, Vanessa your truly courageous lady I wish you all the best going forward. My heart goes out too you. I’ve only recently started HRT patches. I’ve been having menopause symptoms for 7 years. I delayed taking the HRT due to the threat of Breast cancer. I’m 55 now and I lost my mum to breast cancer when she was 53. Things have got so bad I’ve had to go on HRT to function, now. Reading your comments made me realise stop feeling sorry for myself I need a kick. Truly sending you all my best fir your health and future 🙏❤️❤️
I’ve suffered for years with menopause I also have hypothyroidism and take thyroxine, I have every menopause symptom going it’s awful, hot flushes, migraine, anxiety, horrible palpitations, mood swings, anger issues, disturbed sleep, my doctor gave me anti depressants and beta blockers, I do have a fibroid which is the size of a small water melon which I know will grow with oestrogen but I need a break from feeling ill every day and have finally got HRT patches, I’m hoping to find an alternative.
Both of you are doing amazing work for every woman. Everyday people are beginning to talk. I still get negative responses from men and women when I mention hrt but at least the discussion has started. The testosterone debate is a poignant one and GPS have no idea about its importance. What do I do if my gp can't prescribe?
God, do you lovely ladies know how lucky you are having the NHS though? We cant get any free scripts in Aussie. I had to go private to get HRT too. Its 80 a month. I go with out to have it. I have to get a dexa scan, its 250. I need an breast ultrasound 575. I just cant do it . But anyway im so glad to get the gel.now even if it costs me. The GP who isnt free either by the way, refused to give it to me.
It would be good to get a pdf or some kind of print out to hand to my GP to convince them about your information. Where could you help me find them please?
I was telling my hair dresser about the trouble getting back on HRT and how my doctor was avoiding me and she said I would get cancer I said I have no cancer in my family. My hair dresser said ho you mean Dr. Useless I hear this lots about her !!!
I've been suffering for 7 years every time I ask my gp bout hrt I keep bein put off by all the negative about hrt saying there's a increase risk of breast cancer blood clots etc, I've been going bk and fore to my gp as my anxiety is awful and keep being given antidepressants saying its anxiety I feel I'm serviving and not living my life I feel awful day in day out and my poor family are suffering as well
How do women obtain the testosterone if it isn’t available on the NHS? I think this is a doctors issue, considering 100% of women will go through this, they have to educate themselves and help.
I can't take HRT: tried everything, was great at first but have been plunged into hideous cycles of light headedness, dizziness, episodes of hypoglycaemia, severe bloating, headaches, very, very sore breasts, severe itching and feeling unbelievably low and lathargic. Initially it was great and helped a lot with Inflammatory Arthritis and ironically my low mood, but after a year of patches over the past 3 packets it's all gone horribly wrong. Started on the gel (to start Utrogestan in a couple of weeks) and have only had 2 pumps yesterday and day before and am feeling even worse. So today I have decided to stop hrt altogether and didn't take the gel this morning and already I feel slightly less dizzy and light headed.
Same here Georgia, I am very concerned as my period didn’t stop for one month already. I tried at first the patches and they went great on me until my period started to come twice a month which obviously wasn’t right. I stopped them and the doctor said I shouldn’t be on HRT as long as I have me period and he changed with oestrogen gel and progesterone. Two months after I started I didn’t have my period and then, when my period started it didn’t stop. I stopped using the gel and the Utrogestan but my bleeding didn’t stop. I am quite worried now. I will call my GP tomorrow. I am so happy to find Davina today and all this lovely community of women.
@@nicoletanicolae9018 Hi Nicoleta, yes I still feel much better without it. I still have a very low mood which improved massively when I first started hrt but disappeared after a few months so in reality it hasn't really done anything! I also didn't have any peri symptoms but was given it initially to see if it would help with my lifelong migraines (it didn't) but some of the other unexpected benefits made me stay on it. However, it's no exaggeration to say that the sore boobs thing was truly awful. They were actually painful and hard. I've come to the conclusion that even at age 51 I still have lots of oestrogen in my system and don't need any more. Your period will probably stop soon now that you have stopped with the gel and utro. Good luck!

Waiting to speak to a priavte consultant. My bloods show I have hardly any estrogen or progesterone. In my body but loads of testosterone. If you are happy stay with it. I am sorry I started on it now x
Thats the Progesterone that makes your boobs sore as well. Your not taking good supplements to help alongside the BHRT. Your diet also needs change. You don't have loads of oestrogen in your system in the 50s. You have loads of xenoestrogens. Are you on Magnesium Glycinate at night?
@@jessicahitchens6926 actually, my diet is amazing. Low carb, high protein and loads of fresh veg. I don't drink or smoke, exercise and take a vitamin D every day , and have done for years. So I retsarted again with Evorel Conti about a year ago (no additional progest) and no more sore boobs.
I was allergic to my own progesterone. Known as APD and would go anaphylactic every month when I was due on. It is rare but it shouldn't be if more knowledge was shared.
Went to gp today (Australia), female GP and was so dismissive. Wanted blood tests, pelvic exams and said as I'm 46 it's likely not menopause related. Left crying. Specialist is 12month waiting list. Just want hrt prescribed and for my life back.
I'm in Australia too. I understand your disappointment but for a GP to be hesitant about HRT shows you how high risk it is! Most GPs hand out drugs etc like lollies so the fact you didn't walk out of their office with an instant prescription should speak volumes. HRT should only ever be the very last resort and I'm shocked to hear these two women speak of HRT, its side effects and long-term damage so flippantly. Please try increasing your iodine intake (nascent or Lugol's, both OK) - most people are iodine deficient and this can worsen menopause symptoms. Japanese women, partly due to their iodine intake (eg, seaweed/nori), don't have issues with menopause. Interestingly, they also have the lowest rate of breast cancer in the world, and low incidence of osteoprosis and heart attacks. (Oops, there goes Louise's theory about lack of HRT leading to bone loss and heart issues...) Your body is probably too acidic, too. Check your magnesium levels as most people are deficient in that too. Please look into these things before going on HRT. You should be grateful to that dismissive GP. You've potentially just dodged a bullet. Good luck. 💚
Sorry to hear your GP didn't help you. I'm also in Australia unfortunately GP's seem so behind here. I'm suicidal, alone and can't get help for menopause, I have given up. Can't keep going like this.
@@LouGreen Oh Lou, I understand. I’m thinking about you. Maybe there is somewhere you can go and get some help, like the ER or an urgent care center. We have to ask and even beg for what we want. Please keep trying. I know how hard it is.❤
Can oestrogen help with cholesterol levels? I’m 62, 10 years post menopause & was borderline back then but now have high cholesterol. Couldn’t tolerate statins. Also I didn’t know till quite recently that menopause can increase cholesterol & I feel that’s information that should be available. Great talk BTW.
@@Lyndengeo no, didn’t get any replies but it seems like oestrogen is important in so many aspects of women’s health which I had no idea. Just out of interest though, I’ve learnt that higher cholesterol isn’t actually such a bad thing over age 60 according to Dr Aseem Malhotra who’s a consultant cardiologist & is no fan of statins.
But it’s not just females who can benefit. A male friend who I’d told of my experiences and how important taking hrt was to my health, when he started experiencing loss of memory and concentration, insisted his doctor test his levels. He was low and the doctor was persuaded to grant his request for dermal testosterone treatment. And he found this to work for him. In the male brain testosterone turns immediately into estrogen, same cognitive function in both genders.
I was allergic to my own progesterone and 21st person in the world diagnosed. I was 37 and had to have full hysterectomy and oopherectomy. I looked like someone coming off of crack. They didn't give me any advice on what I would go through or what I need. they didn't put me on estrogel until a year later which I had to fight for. I now live in south africa and the taboo about menopause here is horrendous and I'm trying to stop the stigma.
With no uterus or ovaries, I have to take estrogen daily but my gp continues to refuse micronized progesterone due to this, totally overlooking my menopause symptoms.
The Bupa website lists sides effects and risks. It doesn’t really say it’ll make you feel better. Is it worth paying bupa or would it be better to find a specialist?

It ruined me at 42, I was unbearable and left my job as an assistant head - 6 years later ive just realised thank you so much for this x
oh my god i was the exact same. I left my job three years ago and just realised this week what it was this whole time. Its a pure disgrace that women don't have early knowledge on it.
I'm so sorry. I had almost identical experience; 10 years wasted, marriage ended, opportunities lost
Any way thanks for all your work 🥰
Thank you 🙏 ❤️your all amazing let’s spread the word and fight for every women’s right xxxx
I cannot stop crying I have to keep pausing this video. Thank you for all the information it’s truly appreciated ladies from the bottom of my heart ❤️
How do you feel almost a year on x
this makes me so so angry that HRT is so difficult for women to get.
Take care of yourself and I hope you'll get help too ❤
Extraordinarily good!!! Can't wait for Wednesday night 9.00 pm . THANKYOU both !
For all the women who are going to watch this video with a headset, please fix the sound. Davina's voice is much, much louder. Great topic 👍
Excellent conversation ladies!!! Please keep it going.... Talking, sharing, bringing the awareness so many of us need.... NOW we need telemedicine options with you Dr. Louise Newsome and or her team for us here in the USA (other countries as well) or doctors/practitioners who are working with her. Also having a virtual platform/s like this for us ladies who could come (power in numbers and voices) together learn and share. Ee are STRONGER TOGETHER!!
Thanks again for "pioneering" to be the "CHANGE" and not just continuing the "You will just have to deal with it" attitude. There is HOPE!!!!!
So Gratefull for this Fantastic Information , Thank you .
Thank you so much h for your valuable information greetings from Australia
This women Dr are sent from heaven. 🙏
I’m so glad this channel exists. Fantastic!
Devina your wonderful ❤️ enjoyed your discussion with the doctor. I am so emotional. I am going through all the symptoms you have discussed without realising and don't know where to. turn to.
This was an amazing watch. Thank you both so much.
So grateful to all the people who are battling to bring attention to this 🌞
Thank you so much this has been a brilliant live😀

I also agree that most GPs don't know how to deal with HRT for women they are completely clueless from my past experience and will always defer to a specialist which is why I ended up paying for a private consultation.
ruth, im in that situation, same diagnosis same op. if i could ask what dosage you where started on and if this changed after your private consult? xx
Thanks so much you Pioneering Ladies
Thank you for this! I would love to see a blood panel recommendation for normal or optimal estrogen levels and progesterone levels for 50+ year old women.
I got mo e done privately thoroug FX Labs on London .
Fantastic and so refreshing to hear this. I wish my GP knew his stuff about meno, it should be mandatory training for them!
Fabulous just great on it now after all your info just perfect thanks so much ladies 😊😊😊xxxx
@jofrances3296 hi how are you feeling now you have been on the Hrt for a while did help you ?
Oh and I want to add that I went to my GP armed with the information I'd already got from watching Dr Newson and Trinny talking about menopause x
Hi how are you feeling now ?
How much estrogen was prescribed if you don't mind Me asking.I have similar symptoms to you need a patch ASAP have appt booked.
I’ve put my first patch on my bum today, thank you wonderful ladies… thank you
Thank you to you both , I really enjoyed this . Looking forward to Thursday night . Love davina. X
Thank you, both of you
It is my birthday today and I keep crying and crying because I have so many of these symptoms.
I hope you're doing alright we're all going through this together and alone you're in my prayers
I know it's so much easier to get HRt in Spain. Would it be worth you getting a private consult done. Dr Newson offers them :)
I have so many questions:
3.Should I come off my antidepressants that I was prescribed pre HRT

Thankyou for all your work it's saving us xx
Just Brilliant 🙏
i actually quit my job at 38yrs as I wasn't sleeping and was always exhausted.
Must say.. Davina looks ever so pretty pretty!!!
I can’t wait for Wednesday 💕💕💕
What are optimal ranges for women 50+ for estrogen and progesterone. Thank you for this. SO informative!
Ladies, I want to be involved... shall I do my dissertation on the menopause? 💕
Yes!💋
ABSOLUTELY YESSS🙏🏽
It would be good to get a pdf or some kind of print out to hand to my GP to convince them about your information.
Where could you help me find them please?
I was telling my hair dresser about the trouble getting back on HRT and how my doctor was avoiding me and she said I would get cancer I said I have no cancer in my family. My hair dresser said ho you mean Dr. Useless I hear this lots about her !!!
I've been suffering for 7 years every time I ask my gp bout hrt I keep bein put off by all the negative about hrt saying there's a increase risk of breast cancer blood clots etc, I've been going bk and fore to my gp as my anxiety is awful and keep being given antidepressants saying its anxiety I feel I'm serviving and not living my life I feel awful day in day out and my poor family are suffering as well
THANKYOU
How do women obtain the testosterone if it isn’t available on the NHS? I think this is a doctors issue, considering 100% of women will go through this, they have to educate themselves and help.
“Wow” this is very informative , however can I get HRT on the nhs?😮
Good luck!
@@georgiamorandi5795 hi . I was similar to you. No symptoms apart from being tired. I was given the combined pill but felt awful in the progesterone stage. Stopped as felt great in the first phase but the progesterone awful.
I took it for almost 10 weeks and timmitus came on me badly . Come off it but my anxiety was awful and I didn't have it before.
On hrt tablet🎉 and vegina tablet low on my second prolapse stage 4 have to waite 2years I'm pain and cost 8 to 10 thousand to go private.
(Oops, there goes Louise's theory about lack of HRT leading to bone loss and heart issues...)
Your body is probably too acidic, too.
Did anyone answer you? Im similar
What if you would like to take HRT but can't take it any ANY form as it worsens migraine ... where does that leave you?
I was allergic to my own progesterone and 21st person in the world diagnosed. I was 37 and had to have full hysterectomy and oopherectomy. I looked like someone coming off of crack. They didn't give me any advice on what I would go through or what I need. they didn't put me on estrogel until a year later which I had to fight for. I now live in south africa and the taboo about menopause here is horrendous and I'm trying to stop the stigma.
Ah lovely jumper Davina you look great 💋
How can I watch the documentary in Australia please xx
I was given hrt no problem but was only offered tablet form. Why if we now have new better hrt are we not just offering that first
Ps. Where can we view this C4 documentary? Thanks
the NHS knows why thy stopped it..thy no exactly what they're doing without making it obvious 😡
Please could you tell me if you can use oestrogel daily but with the progesterone patch instead of the utrogestan tabs?
