I just got a hand-me-down Mini 2 and it's scary and exciting at the same time! I want to achieve those beautiful drone shots I see often but it's probably difficult to execute esp. for a beginner

Enjoyed this. THANK YOU! Matthew, could you do a video of basic drone moves, like how to do the quick shot circle, but manually, or how to fly in a circle (camera showing your forward motion). I’ve been practicing these on my own, but I’m surprised no one has done this (unless you have and it’s hidden)

I have qustion. Is there any way to remove noise in low light condition without editing the footage?
At first I think cheaper drones only have noise. But even my mavic pro 3 has a some lvl of noise in dark places.of course the noise lvl is way lower than cheaper drones. But I can't completely remove it.
Any suggestion guys?🤔
I've been using the Mini2 for months, I did not know that the circle feature can follow the object and I didn't also know that holding the function + wheel can actually zoom in.. Thank you very much.
Hi Mattheww. Love the videos. In the dolly zoom you say that you can do the zoom in post but the quality won't be as good. Why is this? As far as quality goes, I thought a digital zoom on a camera was just the same as doing a digital zoom in post. Thanks.
Thanks for the video you shared. I have never used a drone to track myself. I feel like waiting for the right moment to be alone. I only use drones to track students who come to learn to surf. I fly above the water every day and I have no fear. I'm not afraid of drones falling into the water. But what I fear is that people are interfering with my work. because I like being alone I wrote a Do Not Disturb sign, but sometimes someone still bothers me. Ask me about flying drones. I don't like being disturbed or ask many questions in life God gave me a talent for flying good drones. But I'm a very shy person. Every time I fly a drone I'm going to hide myself in an umbrella and fly back to landing on my hands. I love this clip because I want to fly a drone to film myself. Thank you for this video Aloha!

Hey! I personally use and recommend Adobe Premiere Pro. InShot is also very good for the mobile.

I’m learning a fair bit from your videos Matheww so great job 👏, as a newby though who’s not had his flyer’s license long I wondered what your thoughts were on the CAA rule on observers - I don’t see how it’s workable when you’re out on your own with a viewfinder 😩

Good stuff Matthew. I'll need to watch this a few more times before trying in the field but this definitely gave me some new ideas. I noticed you didn't try to hide the controller from your footage and you actually were looking down at it sometimes. I would say the clips where you're looking up at the drone are more engaging. Any thoughts on this?
I didn't do much to hide the controller, or the fact I was flying the drone because I was using the clips to showcase the moves. If I was doing the moves for b-roll I would spend a little more time disguising the controller and focusing on not looking down. Good spot though!

Bummer that the Mini SE (which of course is my only drone) doesn't have the function button and therefore zoom. Oh well, will have to do in post I guess. Great vid as always, thanks.
What you lose in a little bit of quality, you gain in smoothness doing it in post - so not a huge loss. Thanks for the feedback, appreciate it.
Great tips. The movements seem a bit choppy on video to me, because your shutter is set to 120 instead of 1/60... I think these would look way better without that effect.

Thanks for your ongoing support. I know how you feel, the first time I ever flew I drone I was scared to start the props. Trust me though, it's really easy! Let me know how you get on.
Just make sure it sets the home point (you will hear it say somethimg about home point updated after it takes off), get it above tree top, and you are extremely unlikely to have any issues - the way it returns to home is amazing and nothing like my old non-gps drones that manage to get away or drift in even the slightest breeze.
