Great video, thank you. I tried this last night with my new Mini Pro 3 and I couldn't get it working on a landmark or tree to practice as I didn't know how to draw the box around the 'POI'. Is there a specific way you need to draw the box or setting I need to have enabled? Cheers
The videos that you make showing the joystick moves are brilliant! I have watched so many others on UA-cam that attempt to show moves to make great quality footage without explaining how to control the drone. Your tutorials are exceptional!
Great video. I've been wondering if there is really a difference between 'Spotlight', and 'Point of Interest' features. From DJI info, it seemed Spotlight was for moving subject and stationary drone and POI was for stationary subject and moving drone. But with both Spotlight & POI it seems you can still control movement of the drone if you wish, and the subject may or may not be static. So I'm left not understanding what the difference is. Appreciate any clarification on this.
Hi Mathew, have had the Mini 3 pro for 3 days and it is very impressive. I downloaded the full PDF manual and have found that there is so much that is not covered. Having watched so many of your tutorials etc I have learnt far more from yourself than I would have done through the manual alone some of the information is definitely lacking when you read the manual so I am just glad that I have made the right choice in sticking with your channel. Thankyou heaps, Im by no means a 'newbie to drones" but I never try to run before I can walk as even with some degree of experience jumping in feet first could result in expensive mistakes.
Superb video sir! One quick question - I would love to get the DJI Mic and when I click your link, I'm not sure which item to go with. Would it be the first item for 219? Thanks again for all you do!
Matthew. I have tried and tried to get the hand with finger pointing at the figure with spotlight and it will not appear. Any suggestions ? Update. DJI support said the location tracker will not work unless you are in wide open spaces.
This is the best drone moves tips video out there. This makes things so much easier and opens up my options to get much better video. Thank you so much for sharing these tips!
Thanks Mathew. Does all this work the same with the M3P & M4P? When doing these moves do you just have to start the motion with the stick(s) or do you have to hold the sticks to continue the movement? If you don't have to hold the sticks, how do you cancel movement? Referencing the PUSH FORWARD/GIMBLE DOWN, what happens when you get to a position beyond directly over your spotlight position and the gamble can't track the position any longer?
Great video!! Any tips for drawing the box around the subject. Do you start on top of the subject or to the left ot right. My box usually is not right over the subject.
Thank you for this tutorial.. Just got my Mini 3 Pro and tested it in an open area 2 days ago and uploaded it on my channel. Need more practice. hahaha
Excelent tutorial, please keep doing this kind of tutorials, i find them quite usefull since i live in Mexico City where is kind of complicated to just chill in a park practicing without any police officer bothering me
Sorry this might seem like a dumb question. Do you input any minimum & maximum attitude when doing these Sportlight moves ? I am mostly concerned with the lowest flight position.
Push forward and descend for example - any tip as to how much you push the sticks - all the way to the end? I guess there is no set speed conrol in this mode?
Very informative. I've had my drone since it was launched in the UK last year and was unaware of these features. I will certainly be using them, especially the 'spotlight' aid to smooth footage. Thank you for sharing this wealth of knowledge.
Muy interesante. Es increible que con tanta sencillez se puedan realizar movimientos tan cinematograficos, suaves y constantes. Creo que este Dron tiene muchos sencillos secretos que enseñarnos. Gracias por este tutorial tan didáctico.
This is really helpful, thank you. I'm confident with my drone-based still photography, but not so much with video. This "trick" will really help me get a cinematic look sooner!
Hey thanks for the video. Having in mind that the zoom is digital, isn't it always better to do the zooming orbit in post? Since the zoom results will be the same but you have much better control of the zoom in post?
Thank you for all your help dude 👌 I think the drone gods made ya 👊 I’ve learned so much from your videos ❤🥳 I’ve went from almost zero to almost hero in 3 days with the auto settings you’ve explained. Im much more confident now . Thanks 🙏 👊
Great video, thanks :) When I tried the spotlight mode the drone was all over the place, but now I see that I forgot the move it around until I got the position marker to lock it in position.
Thank you. Turning off spotlight mode will cause a "jerk" in the motion most of the time, so it's best to finish with that particular drone move, stop recording and then turn off spotlight before continuing. Hope that helps!

I'm also wondering what's the difference...
What is the graph on the left side of his screen?
This is a histogram, I have a quick guide on how to use it in this video ua-cam.com/video/imJeEPuBFIA/v-deo.html . Starts at 6:48 - hope that helps!

You saved my day and investment in my new mini 4 🙂 What ND-filter did you use (if any) in these clips?
For these clips I didn't use any ND filter! Enjoy your new Mini 4 Pro!

Matthew. I have tried and tried to get the hand with finger pointing at the figure with spotlight and it will not appear. Any suggestions ?

Great video ! Just beginning flying .
Absolutely great. Thanks for all your great tips! One more idea is to create a spiral move ...so up and turn like a screw
Another WINNER!!!! Thanks a bunch again.😊👍👏
Thanks for the tip

Superb Mattheww. Very well explained, demonstrated and presented. Thank you!
Your videos are awesome! This helps a lot! I’m thinking weddings now. 😊
Thank you for this video. I never knew this! Game changer! I stuck to manual because of the jerkiness when using spotlight. Again , thanks!
Sorry this might seem like a dumb question. Do you input any minimum & maximum attitude when doing these Sportlight moves ? I am mostly concerned with the lowest flight position.
Will this work for the DJI Mavic Mini with my cell phone as my view screen or is that something on the newer more advanced drones?
Push forward and descend for example - any tip as to how much you push the sticks - all the way to the end? I guess there is no set speed conrol in this mode?
Really clear......congratulations.
Thanks for this!
Appreciate all your drone knowledge, sir!

Are these remote stick able to be released like the remotes for the fpv?
Can you tell how to do these moves on moving subjects as I’m a sports photographer and want to do this on yachts 👍

Great video, thanks :) When I tried the spotlight mode the drone was all over the place, but now I see that I forgot the move it around until I got the position marker to lock it in position.
Moving it around until you get the position marker will make it much smoother! Thanks for watching!
Thanks for sharing your experiences about Drone 😅❤
Very informative video. Question, when you come to the end of the move, can you smoothly break out of the spotlight? Thanks
Thank you. Turning off spotlight mode will cause a "jerk" in the motion most of the time, so it's best to finish with that particular drone move, stop recording and then turn off spotlight before continuing. Hope that helps!
@@TheDroneCreative thanks
Thanks
