Guys, you’ve got content here for at least 2-3 episodes! Several things going on that we would like to see a follow up on.
Dang, the scariest part was the burnt electric part.
Fair winds
You guys are the best, my favorite cruisers. You are so charming as well as your families and friends. I'm so glad you made up your minds to have this adventure.
We are so happy to read your nice comments. Thank you so much! ☺️
A really lovely sail with friends!!!
Amazing and thanks for sharing. Most YT Atlantic crossings with friends have problems with sea sickness -- but you guys seems so relaxed and free from such common issues.
Well that's the most relaxing and enjoyable Atlantic crossing I've ever done. Um, I mean watched. :-) Even the fire on-board was relaxing.
Haha, that's nice to here! :)
It’s good that you are all good friends ... spending so much time together in close quarters. And it seems like you found a variety of things to do to ward off sheer boredom.
Welcome to “the New World”!
Yes, it is. We had a great time with our friends! Thanks! :)
Well done, I enjoyed watching your crossing. Thanks for sharing, stay safe .
Thank you so much. We're glad you enjoyed it and thank you for watching! :)
I'm sure it's a lot less tiring to have some extra crew aboard whose company you enjoy! Thanks for sharing :-)
great video!! looked like a lot of fun!! Oskar finally getting into his element!! he was a barrel of laughs the whole way over!! Excellent!!
Thank you very much!! It was a really fun and nice crossing!! 😊
Yes, he had a great time and is now showing his true colors! 😊
Watching this from Uganda 👍👍 gonna follow the whole of it. So amazing.
Good looking crew on a sweet boat. Fair winds
Thank you! 😊⛵
Gives me an increased appreciation for my Scandinavian ancestors :)
Nice passage, sorry to hear about the fire. Awesome video though! 😍⛵⛵⛵⛵⛵⛵⛵⛵⛵⛵⛵⛵😊👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Yes, that was a bit scary. But everything went ok and now it's fixed again. 😊 Thank you very much!! ⛵😊👍
The Frig messed up then the Water Maker AND a Fire on board but when she said the Coke was flat I thought forsure yall were doomed...seriously it looked cool, nice work
Haha, you have to stay positive. ;) Thank you!
Well done nice video thank you for sharing.
Thank you! We're glad you enjoyed it!
Great Vid...Great Passage...( no covers for the bimini),,...Great Mahi Mahi...Wished I was there....!!!!.....14 days is pretty quick...... S.F., Ca..... ;-)
Thanks a lot! It was a nice crossing! And, yes, it went faster than we thought it would do. :)
Regards Oskar and Lisa at Antigua
For the most part, you've been sailing almost trouble free.....until this passage. You didn't appear to let these problems bother you at all, which was nice to see. That 'little' fire was a bit scary.....I wonder if these problems were mostly due to electrical over-load or just in need of some heavier duty components for a long passages. I know that these problems are not Oskar's fault....he knows what he is doing and has excellent workmanship. This episode was fun to watch and is well edited.....and it's always nice to see Lisa's beautiful smile light up the day! Thank you all.....
Yes, but it's a shame we always forget to film when there is a "problem" too. 😊
There was something inside the panel that broke witch made a short-circuit. It was brand new but sadly we did not get any help from Marlec (Rutland). :(
We're glad you enjoyed it and thank you so much!! 😊
✔Beautiful Fishing Fisherman Congratulations!👍🎣🐠🐠
Thank you!! 😊🎣🐠

Thank you very much! We all liked it a lot! 😊
Beautiful
Excellent video and well done on the crossing even with the phew dramas you had 😬
Great job!
Thank you very much! We enjoyed the crossing (except for the dramas, yes)! ⛵😊👍
Well done, sailors!
Thank you very much! 😊
Excellent editing, balanced, decent....fun watching. Might I suggest no music or very light as it becomes the subject instead of the visual. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you very much! Of course, we will keep that in mind the next time. :) Thank you for watching!
Thanks for sharing!! Looked like a nice crossing.
Anders Jakobsen Thank you! We are glad that you are watching our videos. We think it was nice ⛵️😊
Great video. thanks guys
Thank you so much :)
Good episode!
Thanks a lot!
Really lucky you were with that fire, that nothing else caught fire.
A hint for your fishing teqnique: Try not to have a slack on the fishing rod and never ever keep the rod in a straight line with the line. The pull from the fish can easiest snap the line if there is no suspension - the rod is there to take up the energy of the movement of the fish plus the mass of the fish. So, the best way to reel in the fish and also to make the fish tired when talking about big fish like Tuna, Baracuda and Mahi mahi (Guldmakrill / Dorado) is to pull the rod towards you and up and then while going back to the lower angle position at the same time reel in on the spool, pull again and reel in why you lower the rod again.
Have fun in the WI.
Cheers from Falköping
Yes, we were. It was a bit scary when it happened in the night but everything went "fine".
Thanks a lot for the tips! It took a while but now we've caught a lot of them so we're happy about that. They are all delicious 😊👍🎣
Greetings from Antigua!
Hey,that was a nice fast passage👍I noticed that you motored for a while,I don’t know how many days you had without wind, many people have a lot more than you appeared to.
You’re getting the fishing down to a fine art,I bet you are pleased with that😊
Yes, it was nice and went faster than we thought it would. We motored for about 1,5 days in total. We had almost no wind in the middle but most of the days we could sail, so we were happy about that. :)
Yes, we've learned how to get then onboard now and thats really great!! :)
Hilma Sailing ,some people wait out the calm because they don’t want to pay for the fuel they’d use to motor, but if you want to get there, you have to spend the money, and that’s alright.Stay safe, and most of all, keep having fun 😊
Haha... The one problem with doing the "Water World" drag behind the boat is that the swim suit (especially a bikini) tends to come right off! Good video!
Haha, that's so true!! It was hard to keep them on!! 😄 Thanks a lot!
WOOW. .EXCELENTE TRAVESÍA . MUY BUEN VIDEO SE VE QUE SE DIVIRTIERON MUCHO Y COMIERON MUCHO DORADO . CUIDADO CON LOS BIKINIS CUANDO SE METAN AL MAR. ..JAJAJA. ..SALUDOS.
gracias! :)
Nice! Fun to see your Atlantic crossing! I really look forward to start editing ours!
Thanks a lot! Hope to see you soon! 😊
Sorry to hear about the wind-propeller invertor fire! Is there an overspeed cutoff, or perhaps it failed? Not an expert, but curious. I'm sure your viewers would be interested to find out what happened in a future video, especially if there is a a safety lesson here. Fire on boat electrical is is scary, especially at night! Cheers!
Honestly, we think our wind-generator is poor quality. There was a component that got loose in the converter. It does not give much power either, we think the watt&sea generator and solar panels are a much better and safer choice.. :) Yes, it was very scary to smell it in the middle of the night and then see the smoke. Not the best night.. :) Cheers!
Hello,The Marlec inverter has caught fire multiple times aboard our boat as well. The issue seems to be mainly when we use both the inverter and the solar panel.
@@HilmaSailing @ made in China ? haha
Thumbs up !
😀
Slow down when you have a fish on hook. You are lucky you got that one on board.
We got them both and a lot here in the Caribbean! 😊🎣 We usually slow down a little, but not so much. 😊
👍👍
🙏🏼😀
