I was born in 1956 and the Kon Tiki saga was one of the first books I read as a boy.
I have always been fascinated by nature and all living things so that book basically consolidated a deep and abiding interest in me for everything pertaining to the sea and sailing.
Ya you better be proposing to her! She is absolutely perfect in every way. Smart, strong, beautiful, caring, you are a lucky man.

Hilma Sailing . Not pregnant? Oh well, you get to stay slim instead, for the time being. Have you seen Elayna? She’s getting beautifully fat! Thought for the day - make sure you are getting enough folate in your diet. Being on a boat in the Pacific could mean you’re not eating foods that are fortified with folate, which is good for embryo spinal cord development and avoiding Spina bifida. Supplements of folate could be a good idea for young women who might become pregnant, if dietary intake is variable. Dr Valden signing off! 🙂

In Sweden the diamonds usually comes when the marriage do. The first ring is often more "simple". But of course, that's different between couples too. 😊
