All i can say is,you are living my dream. This is how reall crusing looks like,i will always be just a sea gipsy on my small sailboat, but i love it just as well. Have fun guys.
Klemen, we are happy for you to ride along with us, through the videos. As for your small sailboat: my opinion is being on any boat in the water beats any day at work! Our previous boat was a 22ft (J22) - we had just as much fun on that boat, even if we didnt cross Oceans on it. Each boat for its situation and need, thats what I say. Happy sailing to you.
I just stumbled onto your videos. You have great content. Your HR 54 is a beauty and you seem like very nice people. Best of luck and I never get tired of seeing a nice sailboat cutting through the water.
Great sailboat with nice crew on board.Super video from the crossing of Atlantic.I'm sailing the short summers seasons on Lake Michigan and I hope one day to be on the ocean. Will love to be part of this kind of trip.Thank you for posting the video.Andy
Gosto de acompanhar os víeos das suas viagens. Formosos vídeos, simples, sadios e instrutivos ao ver como você manuseia seu extraordinario HR54. Obrigado por compartilhar e bons ventos. It a watch that I was given by an ex-CIA operative. Highly classified technology that I can't possibly put on this public website. I'll just say that I'm looking forward to pirates trying it on with us, so I can use it to its full potential. Or Its a 30 Euro cheapy from Decathlon ... with no brand name. You decide which is true :)
There seems to be more line’s hanging, strung about, than on any other sailing vid on this type craft I have seen...? I am not a sailor, so I still wonder.
call me paranoid, but I'd be worried standing on the side of a swaying boat going 6+ kt, in the middle of the atlantic, with no lifejacket.. But a 54 is a pretty big boat I guess.
@@SailCloudyBay Mr Paranoid has a point. I like your videos but I see a lot of your ocean sailing with only one of you on deck (other sleeping, napping etc) and no LJs or safety harnesses. God knows what will happen if someone goes overboard.
@@SailCloudyBay That came across as mean spirited. I watch a lot of passage making and most take reasonable precautions of safety. Your viewer meant well and I agree with them. I am a Viet Nam vet so I know a bit about risk taking.
Danali Star you are right. It wasn’t an appropriate reply from me. I think at the time we were getting numerous comments about our safety attitude and we were getting a bit fed up with it. Our attitude is our own personal choice, right? even if we should know better. Because we live aboard, moving safely around the boat comes much more naturally than the occasional inexperienced weekend sailor. I don’t think either of us have even felt a “near miss” in 4 years of sailing. Cloudy Bay is an extremely stable platform compared to other yachts we’ve been on, but If the conditions are such that we need extra safety, we do our on life jackets and life lines. And they are mandatory for all guests.
A nice video of a beautiful boat and glamorous crew but not very useful for those wishing to follow your footsteps across the atlantic. I think you missed an opportunity to let us into your head a bit and explain your sail setup, how you handled watches, navigation, etc.. Pure eye candy but not much substance.
@@SailCloudyBay disgusting comment by this guy. I noticed you seem not to delete any comments, even this bad. I would you know. Love your channel, best travel channel on YT. Binge-watched like 50 vids last 2 days. Best of luck you two, you deserve it 😎
I can almost feel the sun on my face and the salt on my lips. I love your videos. Almost as good as being there.
I'm so glad!

So glad you are enjoying the viewing. We will try to keep up with making things as interesting as possible. Thanks for the lovely comment
The dolphins near your boat with the underwatercam are fantastic!
Port St Charles! I arrived there by rowingboat 2002 years ago. Learned to walk as a baby on a HR out at sea.
Lovely to see how much you love her
I'm glad that comes over in the video Richard.

Just found your channel. Awesome! I love the refit video.
Amazing! Beautiful boat and crew!!
very pleasant atmosphere on this boat
Lovely as always. No dinghy this crossing?
Bella traversata complimenti ✌😜
Grazie molto. Sono contento che ti sia piaciuto
Nice to see a video not spoils by a constant and inappropriate soundtrack. Well done! One question, though, what's the flag you're flying?
Gibraltar
Lovely
What percentage of the time did you use Autopilot for your crossing?
Hewo Cloudy mar
Harro Javier!
How did the celestial navigation go?
Hmmm, we managed to get within 200miles! A bit more practice needed I think
Whats the wristwatch brand you are wearing?

Cool, a genaker!
There is an HR 54 for sale for 1,060,600 USD. Is that really what this rig costs? Crime in Italy.
ArcolaBridge yes, seems very over priced. There is a very very good one for sale in Netherlands at more realistic price.
three some?
I don't think my wife and daughter appreciate that comment!
Sail Cloudy Bay ahora! Next time need to clear that. Sorry
@ you can delete comments you know 😎

Thanks for the comment Bill. I agree with you. This was our first video - we got much better after that. Please visit our channel to see more.
Ha ha!! How much did you pay for your young girl? Looks like work took over your privet life!! You seem very lonely fella!
Philip .... not lonely at all thanks :). One is my wife, the other my daughter.
wtf..

tip001 I normally do but sometimes I leave them on and let others deal with them. Maybe I should delete this one as it’s certainly very insulting.
Boring!
