I agree with you with some women, but don’t label all women this way because I would not do that. My kid has been a brat and I said him in his place sometimes the grandparents are at fault.!!! my point is don’t generalize not all women are jerks and go out and sleep with the guy just because they didn’t get their way that is absurd and she is a fruit on the tree. She’s not a classy woman at all.!!!

I came so close in my mid thirties to getting into a LTR with a single mom who had a 14 year old son. One day she had asked me to come over and as I got to her place she was unloading groceries from her car. I grabbed two armfuls to help out and said to her son “You should help your mom.” He immediately gave me the “You are not my father” bullshit. I finished helping carry in the groceries, hopped in my truck and drove away. Completely ghosted her. Ran into her a couple of years later and the pride thing was still with her. She went off on how I had no right to ask her son to do anything. I replied that is why her and I couldn’t have a relationship. No way I take shit from a snot nosed punk.

My ex wife didn't work. I took care of all the bills, was the breadwinner, took her on several vacations each year. But she refused to do my laundry because of her feminist indoctrination. The crazy part is that her separating her laundry from mine actually ended up being more effort than just doing it all in bulk.

Rich, you're hitting on so many key topics lately, man.... Great work. This girl you describe is now my ex. I asked her to start paying her portion of rent. I also made it clear that I was not going to share her in salsa clubs. She didn't respect the boundaries. She said she wanted a "provider," in exchange for nothing. And, I said nope, not going to happen anymore. I had provided enough. One month later, she's now living in the back of a shared space with 2 random roommates, paying rent there, technically owes me money for rent and other things, and is back to clubbing with her single broke friends who all have broken relationships, and she's on dating apps. Men need to realize that there are not many high value women on dating apps looking for someone else to make up for her bad financial decisions. Never live with a woman you are dating. Do NOT DO IT. That's a topic for another day. Raise your standards, men. Do not let these women walk all over you and own you. Stop sponsoring them for sex. Stop it. She must bring value and be able to provide for herself. You are more than a wallet. The most feminized women will talk about how they are independent and all of this nonsense, and at the end of the day, they're depending on men 100% of the time. Same about cutting the grass. Good story man. Great content in general man. Spot on. Pride leads women into poverty, broken relationships, divorces, as well as a life of bad decisions. Great topic.

I solved all my relationship problems in my mid 40's when I decided to become celibate, and amazingly everything just fell into place. My life as a middle aged man blossomed, I didn't realise just how emotionally draining it was trying to please others, but mostly my own desires! Truly, if you conquer lust, attachment and dependency, life is sooooo much more rewarding and you feel a sense of self-sovereignty.

My husband just bought us a beautiful brand new house recently. I’m a stay at home mom, we don’t have any appliances yet, so I’ve been taking our laundry across town to a laundromat once a week and I spend about $30 each time. It’s about 6-8 loads because we are a family of 4. It’s not ideal but it’s what I do! Because I’m grateful that we have a beautiful new house and in time we will be able to afford a washer and dryer ♥️ also, I’ve been doing my husband’s laundry for 24 years and for 15 years before we had our children.

@@Gizziiusa I didn't give her any hint. I was polite, honest, and direct. And, I have the spine to enforce my reasonable boundaries. She tested my resolve. And with her in the same room, I started scanning the 'net for a new place to live.
When she asked me what I was doing, I told her exactly what I was doing, and why.
I also said I would stop looking if she gave me a legit apology for her behavior, with no ifs, ands, or buts. And she must give me a reasonable assurance it would not happen again.
Faced with these options, she gave me a legit apology. Since that day, her testing has reduced exponentially.
I have discovered that when a woman tests a man, she is asking "can I depend on you?'" Women want (& need) a man they can count on. I demonstrated that I meant what I said. Not following through would tell her (& others) that at best, I was not reliable, or at worst, I was deliberately being dishonest. Neither is a good look to wear.
We are all walking billboards, in that everything we say and do shows people who we are. When I make a mistake, I acknowledge it, then try to fix it.
I am also comfortable to politely say 'no,' when I am asked to participate in something that is optional, and I enforce my reasonable boundary by standing my ground, or leaving, as appropriate. Since becoming this kind of person, my life has gotten easier.

Men have jobs, women have jobs, women want equality, so they are supposed to be participatory financially, but a lot of women try to squeeze out of this. All of these people out there using others, hard to get used if you keep your money in your pocket. If you want to spend money on a women, do it in a careful, well thought out, planned manner.

Also she could retire which is a significant thing. I mentioned that I’d go 2/3 to her 1/3 because I have significantly more wealth. Cutting a long story short she then walks because she was expecting me to pay 100% and she lives with me for free and keeps her home too. So I’m all in and she keeps her options open!! Upon reflection afterwards and speaking to others it seems she had many many narcissistic traits that I’d ignored not knowing what narcissism was. You never stop learning 🙄

I went through a horrible marriage with a horrible woman who alienated my daughters, who sadly have become as toxic as mom. My relationship with my daughters effectively ended when they said they want money from me but not a relationship. I put my foot down very politely by saying, “I can’t do that.”
Would appreciate Unplugged Men’s advice. I always had a vision of what my family would look like into my 60s and 70s. I can’t believe this is where we are at. Women refusing to the household monetarily is based on their feeling that they provide already sex and should have in return everything else free. As if they felt exploited if they cannot prostitute themselves.
    2.
The story about the gas tank sounds very much like narcissism. Calling her brat to order means making it obvious she has been neglecting that educational task in the past, that she is not always perfect. Narcissism is a defense mechanism that tries to find a save place above reality to be protected from what might happen to the narcisstic person if she was on an equal level. Usually there was some traumatising event in childhood. Reminding them that they are no better then everybody else translates for them into having to realize that they are still in the danger zone, being pulled down into it right now; also called narcisstic injury. You touched on her defenses. The hissy fit she threw was the narcisstic rage that usually follows up in such a scenario. And her cheating on you later on was her tactic to get up above you again, back up above reality, out of the danger zone again by elevating her and devaluing you. By cheating on you she in her perception gained an advantage over you which she needed to prove to herself that she still is superior. These are the mechanisations of a narcisstic mind.

Over the last 7 years or so, she decided, not in words but in her actions, to never ever help with cooking, washing dishes (can't even get her own dish to the sink - let alone actually WASH IT TO HELP!), doing laundry (does ZERO and can't get her clothing even into the laundry bin - just chucks them on the floor for me to pick up, wash, dry, fold or hang - NEVER a thank you by the way), will do absolutely NOTHING to help care for our two kids (I do EVERY bedtime, bath, doctor's appointment, school meeting, etc - EVERYTHING!!! LITERALLY ALL OF IT!), spends lots and lots of money on herself and creates chaos in all of our relationships with friends, family, etc. This has been going on for years, about 7 now as I said. In that time, I have steadily increased my salary to well over 6 figures, paid off the mortgage, paid off the car, eliminated all debt and been entirely at home and available. I realize now I have been an absolute fool for this woman. She does NOTHING to help me or the children. She is a feminist. She is breathtakingly selfish. She has refused to even be intimate about 80% of the time I make a move. She contributes NOTHING to this relationship. I think she has been enjoying single life, while having me bankroll the image of a marriage and family. I work full time. My husband has no job, tinkers on his guitar, doesn’t do laundry and waits for me to come home and cook. It’s my fault. I didn’t kick him out way back when, and he just won’t work. (Do you want me to be a labourer) I’m exhausted, and tho I’m attached emotionally I feel I am being used. Some advice pls.

I waited until my children were 18 to divorce and waited till they were almost fully independent to actually bring someone to my home. My son always treated him with respect as he would anyone- although he loves to mess with him. Son and daughter moved out we’ve been married and completely happy for years. I do the inside of the house he does the outside.

Women, alike most people in general, don’t like to confront directly and rather create a set rules, excuses and problems to leave or even make you leave. Most people are uncomfortable saying loud that they don’t want you - guys suddenly becoming busy at work, women needing a break, all kinds of reasons instead of simply saying “sorry, I’m not interested anymore”.

The next guy will be expected to knock her up within months of starting ‘relations’ with her before she’ll start to act out in ways that will force him to walk away then she’ll try to hoover him back with an only if you knock me up type of setup which if he’s dumb enough to follow will lead to all sorts of misery. You’ll barely get a chance to get to know the woman. It would make more sense to knock up a total stranger on a street corner it’s soo dumb.

The last lady wouldnt show appreciation much. Always wanted to be pursued but wanted to be nurtured and protected. I told her she's killing the vibe by not even communicating on a basic level. She just wanted to play even though she loved the idea of marriage, kids, a protective man (which I am very accomplished and caring), yet just wanted to up and leave. I've definitely been learning a lot.
I always think of your advice about men growing business, etc want an easy to get along with woman. Being in sales and working a lot, I want a woman to just relax with after work. Not extra unnecessary work!

Wow, you all know the wrong sort of people. I believe in equality as both parties in a relationship always do their best. My husband when made redundant, leant on me and I picked up more work, when my dad was sick he picked the slack at home, so I could go say goodbye. Love is caring as much for your partner as yourself and knowing they feel the same. Married and happy 30 years.

To say that “not many women” have healthy pregnancies after 35 is wildly incorrect. Could you please correct that? The complication rate is higher, but the vast majority of babies born to women after 35 years are perfectly healthy and the overwhelming majority of women who get pregnant after 35 get pregnant naturally.
