There was a time when I thought that wireless was a useless feature ... until I began connecting my wireless keyboard to other devices, phones, etc. Now I love the wireless feature even if I never use it for my PC.
NO WAY YOU ARE WARHURYEAH I am kind of ashamed of nerver realizing it , i've watched your reviews for a while and i still watch your tf2 highlights time to time lol.
5:09 Exactly. Unless you constantly bring your keyboard around or your pc is at least 2 metres away from your table (for some reason), a wireless keyboard is pretty pointless. You could argue that having a wireless keyboard on your desk gives you one less wire, but you would still have to plug it in eventually to recharge the battery unless you have wireless charging. And if you do bring it around, you would probably prefer a light plastic keyboard rather than a heavy metal one.
Ummm clearly you don't have multiple devices? It's a convenient feature. Being able to use your PC then subsequently your work laptop with a switch of a button is quick and simple. Having an option is better than having no options.
I use wireless keyboard daily since my pc is connected to TV in living room. It’s also popular with people who use same keyboard on several PCs by just switching BT channel. And I’m VERY disappointed that no reviewer properly tests wireless features. 1) How good is wireless connection on distance more than 1m. Many are awful in this regard, especially full metal ones. 2) Does it wake from sleep instantly without eating several key presses? Most keyboards don’t and it’s very annoying. 3) Can you disable sleep mode on keyboard and how does it influence battery life?
Hello I have this keyboard and from what I experienced: 1) From about 2m from my computer it still works fine. I do not have an exact time for it but the response appears instant. It is also hefty like mentioned before so you probably do not want to be moving it constantly. 2)The keyboard has a backlight timeout and a sleep mode. After 5mn the backlight turns off but any input is still transmitted. After another 5mn of inactivity it goes to sleep which does require a single button press to turn back on. 3)Unless you flash the keyboard I do not believe there is a way to turn off sleep mode. Generally I leave my keyboard turned on, I work about 8 hours a day and game for about 4 hours afterwards and only need to charge around the end of the week. I apologize if this was not helpful.
@@Mbloser1 Thanks for detailed feedback! P.S. Just to clear up the "wake up" situation - does the same keypress that you use to wake up keyboard process as keypress? I currently use Logitech G715 and flawless wireless + not eating a single key input even when waking up from sleep are its only saving grace. But it's soo rattly and clangy that I can't deal with it when typing, only bearable when gaming)
I know this video is old but you just got a new sub! Great explanation and humor! I've been searching all over for a good hefty 75% with a volume knob and this one was on my radar but the other reviews didn't really help. You helped me solidify my choice, and really any mechanical keyboard can be a gaming one. I understand HE keyboards but I function well with my thocky soundings keychron V1 in higher elo on Rainbow 6, and i do well in COD
I work 8 hours a day at my desk, and the last thing I wanna do is to spend even more time at my desk to game after hours. So I do all my PC and console gaming from the comfort of my couch. Wireless keyboards and mice are perfect for this. It's one thing to have preferences, nothing wrong with that, but to outright be dismissive and question why something exists is ignorant at best, and at worst, disrespectful to those that find use and preference to them. OPTIONS are good for consumers, lack of them are NOT.
if they make a hall effect version of this I would buy it in a heart beat ! The macros are super cool to have with the 75% layout. Would be fun to mod and add custom keys there and I love the roller! Also being wireless and HE would be nice as the less wires on my table the better and I like to cloud stream to my tv
One thing that I never hear you mention in your keyboard reviews - and I watch them all - is key rollover. N-key rollover is an absolutely crucial feature to me, and the sole (Seoul? kek) reason I, a British man, continue to play on a Korean keyboard designed for Starcraft. Is it just something all modern keyboards have? Am I too much of a boomer? If not, I implore you, please mention it in future reviews
With my Logitech G915 TKL (wireless) i found 1 use case. I had my desk with pc on the other side of my bed with tv. So i would sometimes play games from bed on the tv. In those cases (1 in 100 days) it was nice to have a wireless keyboard and mouse. But tbh you could also get a 3m usb-c cable and do the same thing
I prefer wireless keyboards so I can easly and fast switch the keyboards between the one I'm currently gaming and the one I work with (hybrid work/gaming) so it won't tangle the cables around
he is actually a demo main but if you can play demo well, solly is no problemo. also, if you play tf2 and dont know who WARHURYEAH is then you should look up some fwag movies, guy is a legend :)
putting wireless features on metal keyboard that weigh 2kg? in addition, we got minimum info for that wireless mode that probably has a lot of latency? and they call it a "GAMING KEYBOARD"? nah bro, that's just overpriced 75% keyboard with 4 macro buttons.
I steel prefer 60%/65% like size for gaming....but that keyboard that doesn't have rapid trigger....IMO for that price makes any sense...... I prefer wooting 60he+ ...thoughts it doesn't have aluminum case ...but there is tofu60...that has a less cost
@@DiamondLobbyReviews wtf is wrong with you? I thought this is a professional channel. As a tech reviewer you should know that he got a good point. Rapid Trigger was a really good innovation, a keyboard without it is pretty bad
This is a brilliant video for highlighting why 'hobbyist/enthusiast/custom' mechanical keyboards are unattractive to the mass market of gamers. You want a good gaming keyboard so you look towards the custom scene only to be faced with QMK/VIA spaghetti code, north/south facing LEDs, no BIOS mode, etc. It's sad because custom mechanical keyboards can sound and feel so great. But, they s u c k for anything except productivity and typing tests.

it will chip your nail when you pick it up. I was using monsgeek m1 that weigh about the same.
You can play guitar hero with your keyboard
You sound like an a$$hole with that “for some reason” when gaming TV connected to tv in living room is not that rare nowadays.
I use one.

i use wireless to use my keyboard on multiple setups since Bluetooth and 2.4 and wired can be on anything i want
Finally someone said it, we don't need a wireless keyboard !!
Unless you're using two computers with two different monitors, like I do.
I enjoy typing on this keyboard very much and it sounds great! Just wish the rgb is brighter. It's a gaming keyboard after all, right?
Im not a wireless keyboard user but i guess it’s a „cleaner“ look without any wires? Also maybe a good usecase if the cable is too short
Looking for a thonky sounding keyboard, could I turn this into one?

Wireless keyboards are only useful for one thing: Frets on Fire
can somebody tell him that every custom keyboard or keychron Q series keyboard is just like that?

yes, all modern keyboards above like $80 will have nkro, and many even below that price point will have it too, if not 6kro
nkro is standard for modern gaming keybords, especially at these price points

If I was going for a wireless 75% I'd get the Azoth, looks better, similar build quality, and can be had for less.

Pls try the Meletrix Boog75

the best keyboard is Steelseries Pro TKL.
