I also learned that it's possible to unlock +15% CPU performance by scrolling back up to SMASH the like button
You should of got a 7800x3d and 7900xt it’s more expensive but a lot better for not bottlenecking
kinda cringe call to action ngl but the video is solid 👍
Also enable SAM (Smart Access Memory) (Resizable BAR)
Also I suggest PBO Tweaking if you want to squeeze more performance and lower temps and overclock the gpu (this won’t up the power unless you bump the power and voltage)
@@jackietechlabs2081 ReBAR is usually enabled by default on these newer boards, also PBO is nice to have on and all but it isn't needed with the 7800X3D in particular.
I stopped watching PC assembly videos like 3 years ago. But for some reason I watched this entire video without a skip. Good work!
The best (probably unintentional) PC-building tutorial on YT. Great job!
Ayee thank you!
@@bogxdsimple tip not necessary but recommended to put ur mb on its box that way nothing has a chance of being damaged
Considering you’re a first time builder, like myself, you actually made this experience way easier to understand than most of the pros! I felt like you were speaking my language as a first timer and included EVERYTHING I needed to know. Thank you so so much
Hows it going, have you finished your build?
@@Spawndex Not yet, actually. I’ve just ordered my parts and was watching some of these videos to keep my mind fresh on how to put the parts together. I’ll definitely update once the build is complete 😁
same, I'll be getting the last parts soon and will also be building my first pc, and this is the first video where I was able to understand what all the cables connecting to the power supply are, I was always confused where what goes
@@GetWellSoonR.E.M.
@IwrsTheKing007
You're both gonna do great at building, just remember to use a bit more force than you think you should, the mistakes tend to be when you make yourself worried about it and you just need to make sure things are definitely plugged in properly, the RAM got me when I first did it because I was so scared of breaking something I didnt push it in enough! I actually thought maybe the dimm slot clips just didnt come up by themselves on my motherboard so i put them up myself like a dope but as long as you line it up properly you can push them in and make sure they CLUNK and the clips come up. If its not seated quite right you can feel it kinda pushing back a bit when you try to push, but it'll all go fine and just make sure you read the manual to check what slots to put the sticks in, its probably the 2nd and 4th slots. ALSO when I build I flat pack the cardboard box the case comes in and stand on that because my floors carpeted, and you wanna stay away from carpet cause of the static, but dont worry too much youd have to be really trying to actually damage something. Sorry for the ramble but I know how nervy I was the first time I built something, youre gonna be so happy when you flick the switch and it works!
@@Spawndex Yeah same thing happened to me when I build it last month, I thought the ram was fully in and when I finished the build, it wouldn't post and showed the CPU and Ram error LEDs. I even reseated the ram and it still didn't work. Until I did it a third time with so much more force than I originally tried with, it went in all the way and the PC booted up
I am an It-Specialist. Everytime i build a PC, i get nervous, i hate it.
Nice to see you go down that path.
EDIT: And i acutally learned something from your video.
You're a software developer. Not an IT specialist. You know how to type on a keyboard, nothing about system builds/servers and networking, etc.
I'm an IT engineer, and it's literally impossible to have learnt anything new from this video.
It was, however, very catchy, quirky and extremely funny with all the small jokes he made. I understand how appealing it is for people that have an interest in building machines.
Great video, keep it up bud!
@@dsk_1337 Whats your problem man?
1. Yes i am a Software Developer.
2. system builds/servers and networking, etc. are basic subject areas in the training programme for IT specialists (regardless of the specialisation) in my country. That concludes that i am a IT Specialist specialised in Software Development.
3. I, in fact did learn something new from this video, how would you know?
4. It's nice for you, that you already did knew everything he showed.
5. Even if you are an IT Enineer, that does not mean you know everything about Hard and Software, most IT Engineer as well as Specialists and even Developers or System Integrators or Admins, can now a lot about other stuff of the big IT and are also be able to not know everything.
What kind of IT Engineer are you, there are a number of subject areas in which IT engineers work that don't always all mesh together.
6. I do know a lot more than just "Typing on a keybord" but you seem to not know more than just being a dick.
7. You just cant know everything. No one does.
@@dsk_1337 nice of you, to just assume stuff
1. Yes i am a Software Developer
2. system builds/servers and networking, etc are a fundamental part of training as an IT specialist (regardless of specialisation) in my country. I also work on server systems as a hobby. Saying i know nothing other than just typing on a keyboard, is not very nice of you. Software Developer ist just my work title.
3. Since number 2 already specified what a IT Specialist in my country is. I can tell you, that i am in fact a IT Specialist, specialised in Software Development.
4. I did learn something new from this video, because you cant know everything. How can you proof that i did not learn something new, or that others did not learn something?
You are basically saying that Bog's video did not give any useful information. Thats not very nice of you. ("it's literally impossible to have learnt anything new from this video")
5. Good for you that you already knew everything from this video.
6. You are an IT Engineer? Tell me, what did you actually do? IT Engineers are not doing everything, they also specialise in stuff, like Big Data, AI, Software Developtment or Hardware Maintanance like IT Infrastructures. Hardware and Software Troubleshooting and Helpdesk or first/second level support are not IT Engineer work.
7. I in fact did work as a Software Developer in a big company and i did work as a System Administator in a small company.
Better yourself.

Me on my old acer 2013 trash intel celeron laptop rn:
I've been building my own PC's for the past 10 years. This was a great first time build! I love the subtle jokes and gags, really made me laugh. 😂 Congrats on your first build.
Cheers! I'm glad u enjoyed it!
If windows doesnt have the ethernet or wifi driver you can connect ur pc to ur android phone with a USB cable and enable USB tethering in Android and now windows will have internet connectivity so u can download drivers.
Wow
Oh nice, didn't about this
one of my favourite things
I use usb tethering alot because of my trash wiif card
i do this because my computer didn't come with a wifi card
I have some tips for your build:
9:40 The usb-c connector (type E connector) only goes in one way. Notice how one of the edges is wider than the rest. Specifically, at 9:45 you can see how the pins are slightly off-center.
10:40 NC is short for no-connection, meaning that pin is just a piece of metal used to fill out empty space (it's there so other connectors can't be plugged in). As it is, the reset switch is not functional and instead needs to be connected to RSTCON# and Ground (notice the two lines below these words at 10:42).
11:05 I happen to have the same case as you (except white). The 3.5" hard drive "shelves" can be entirely removed from the case so you have more room to work with the power supply. It also results in an opportunity for better airflow (not that it really matters down there).
+ put the PSU in and route the cables around first
Well done for a first time build. Solid no nonsense PC that met your needs.
this is my favorite pc build video yet. so calm and relaxing. with subtle goofs along the way
LMAO you're timing is PERFECTO
woah dude i literally just started looking into pc building a week ago
Nice, are you going to biuld it for gaming?

Amazing documentation. Everything in this video I feel like I went through. The only parts that I didn't experience myself was the SSD torture (hurts my soul), and the fan connector issues.
You read directions perfectly, and got it looking professional. Props to you! Amazing first build.
All in all, congrats with your new PC, and congrats on this excellent guide on how to build a PC!
This is actually a very helpful video for when I will eventually build mine, learned a lot of things thanks to you.
congrats on your new PC and your first build!
holy moly the parts selection is litterally perfect
A build well done! Congrats on your new PC 🙌
you are without a doubt an amazing person and its like my thoughts were speaking. you are that guy. this is one of the most complete guides ive seen, its no nonsense and ticks most of the boxes of providing info without veering off.
i dont watch these kind of videos but your video is made with so much love i just could not stop watching, keep up the good work youre doing amazing.
Wow, this video was some great story telling! The pace was just perfect.
This was an end to end instructive video! Really well done!
Cheers! I'm glad u liked it!
This came out at the perfect time, thanks g
Great guide! Good job on your build. I have built many builds and I feel like your building experience was much more fluent than mine has ever been. I tend to get nervous and get disoriented but you seemed to know what you had to do and when. Two weeks of training paid of and now you know what to do in the future when you get your next PC, no need to pay "prebuild tax". :)
I’ll be using this video to help when I get my pc built very soon :)
Its nice seeing another first time builder build their own pc. Im still on the process of getting all of my pc parts before I can do that though. Gives me conference to try it myself.
In all doesn't seem too hard if you follow the instructions and carefully put it together which is good!
ive built and know how to do some sketchy pc build, but somehow i watch the entire video cus its kinda fun to see people build pc and i like your video also i learn something new about pc build. keep it up man
i built my 1st pc last week and it was the best experience i have ever had
i learned alot i loved it and thanks to youtube for the helpful videos all over it
This is very high quality PC build video, love to see it man.
Love to hear it!
thank youy for this entertaining video, i know you put a lot of effort so we can enjoy this!
Congrats on the pc
Pretty thorough video, subbed
THAT INTRO WAS SO CLEAN AND SO FUNNY! 🤣 i subbed that was peak
literally the best pc building video ever made, its gonna help me so much in a month when I'll be building my own pc. KEEP IT UP
Cheers!
Bro best och build vid by far, understandable for beginners and you show all the mistakes that could happen. Overall 9/10 build👍🏾😁
You’re very knowledgeable to say it’s ur first build, not bad!
I really enjoyed this video, probably the best build vid ive ever seen cause you explain what youre doing and why and show little bits that go wrong and you fixing them, 👍🏻 i like that you mention having to use a bit more force than youd think on some parts like the ram, that got me the first time i built a pc because i was too scared to break something, i think every first timer needs to hear that its alright to use some force to plug bits in! You start off scared of damaging stuff and end up swearing at the cables and using more force than batman on a badguy 😂 i just recently built a new pc in the same corsair case as you and caught myself nodding along to bits lmao
Built the same specs by watching your video for the tutorial, thank you.
Definitely gonna save this video for next week. Building my first one!
Very instructive and and fun to watch, very nice vid ❤
Cheers! Thx for watching
A new builder that's done great 🤯
Your video is actually more informative than most of the big channel silly craps. Thumbs up for your good work dude !
Having built computers for a couple years now, you’ve done better than my first attempt at assembling a computer 👍
I have refreshed my knowledge on building pc, thank you
Great parts list for a first pc build imo.
Nice build and nice video.
Just add couple of fans in the front and the top of the case for optimum air flow
Great Video. Also That is such a nice PC. If I didn't decided to water cool mine, I would have gone with this build. Very well balanced.
I built my first pc recently. Surprisingly, everything went well and there are no issues.
saved the video so when i finally get parts to build one will watch it
Great Case and Great choice for brand of gpu
I know most of this stuff, but it is still very satisfying to watch these types of videos :D
great choice of parts tbh
Eyyy. Welcome to building your own PC. You did a good job! Best part about building it yourself, if any component happens to bork in the future, you can easily repair or replace it yourself for MUCH cheaper than a repair shop would charge. 🙂
This build was more fun than a LTT build. Noice
even though i wasn't building a pc
this video still helped me learn a few things and i also found out that my motherboard had drivers
This is the best PC-building tutorial ever made on YT.
this is one of the best pc building tutorials ever!
Ayee cheers! Thx for watching
Good build with solid specs
Congrats gang 🤟🏾
The 7800X3D slams so hard.
I love it.
Very nice video! As someone who's built hundreds of PCs, let me say, WELL DONE!
This was really enjoyable to watch :) I remember when I built my first PC, we didn't have online guides like this around a decade ago, I was sweating buckets. You did really well, I gotta say. I really enjoy watching first PC building videos since I'll never experience that myself anymore, I build PCs for a living atm and after some time it becomes just another daily activity. Where are you from btw? I sensed some Swiss accent in there, it reminded me of my friend :)
Good choice of parts. And cool video anyway.
Cheers!
No joke, our first pcs are identical. You built the pc that I just built here part for part, even with the same motives: Gaming and Video Editing
nice video! i did a very similar build a few months back with an i7 14700k, was very satisfied!
Damnn!!!!! Congrats on your new pc and also thank for teaching me how to build a pc :D
And "reasonalbe budget" of yours is not so "reasonable" for me
man where was this video when I was building my first pc this is so much easier to understand 😭
Damn, That looks pretty good.
I have to say, for a first time builder, you did a surprisingly good job, the parts selection makes sense, the assembly itself was well done (if if you had some trouble with some things at first).
If I were you I would do 2 things differently (mostly out of personal preference tho):
-I would have used the CPU_OPT header for your 2dn CPU cooler fan (really because of OCD and not wanting to deal with setting the fan curve in the BIOS).
-I would have gone with a different board, not better, different, since Wi-Fi on motherboards is almost free, (if you get one with it) I would pick one with it. But your ASUS board will be more than up to the task.
Also you might want to check out a program called fan control, it allows you set your fan curves within windows itself, and is surprisingly powerful. I have mine set to take both CPU and GPU temps into account, so if one gets hot the case fans ramp up. Unfortunately with BIOS fan control you can't use GPU temp as a reference.
love the video, my guy is really fun to watch.
for others wanna build a nice pc my advice is not to use the "prime" motherboards. If you wanna use ASUS go with the TUF (which costs more), or just find a motherboard from other brands (I recommend MSI and ASROCK ) with the same price they usually nicer with better cooling for the VRM because you might wanna use a high-end CPU and you wanna get the max out of it.
Hey, I have the same case and the same cooler, so this video will probably be the tutorial for the am5 upgrade I will do sometime when the price becomes good. This is also a good tutorial video. Thanks!
thank you for this informative video!
Cheers! Thx for watching
@@bogxd I will build my first PC using this video as a guide.
only if I got the money first though.

Your first PC building experience? No way, you're already a pro!
This made me want to build a PC now 👏
wow a first time builder that actually looked at the mobo manual and properly put the ram into the right slots
best pc tutorial
good vid. i didnt do any tutorials i just did it blind and i luckily didnt mess anything up
Great job building your first PC man, welcome to the club! I built a few pc's and I have some notes that might help.
13:35 Daisy chaining PCI-E power like this is a bad idea. You should use two separate power cables because one of those can only handle 150W. Your GPU can go as high as 300W. You will probably be fine overloading it since you got a high quality psu - but it's better to be safe than sorry!
15:48 There's no reason to partition an SSD for OS. People used to do it on HDDs to have their OS on the outer side of the spinning disc which is faster. It can cause you problems since all the drivers and os updates will be forced to that (C:) partition. Even some programs refuse to install somewhere else than on C. You should be ok with that 100GB though, you'll see if it causes you any trouble.
23:20 The coil whine usually happens when your GPU outputs high FPS. For me it occurs at 500+ (usually just loading screens for me lol). If it really annoys you, you can get rid of it by limiting your framerate. You probably won't see a difference if you set it to 300 FPS.
You definitely did your research.
Hey Bog, I am one of your oldest subscribers, it's good to see you are doing great😊
Aye, it's good to see that you're still here!
great channel bro (btw when windows app iceberg part 2)?
Ay, thanks! that's a good question
23:23 to lower the coil whine on your gpu in stead of using one vga cable use two sperate cables, found this out one line. it provides a cleaner signal from your psu. dont use the splitter
i bought the same case few weeks ago and as far as i can tell, your decision with the build, it is also a good recommendation. i prefer nvidia for some personal reasons, but i like the tutorial and the parts that you have used. thanks for the video
PS: High end Sapphire cards most likely to do coil whine when on heavy loads (mostly sapphire probably due to their fan quality) but their overclocking ranges far wider than other manufacturers
That's a very nice system. Nice build my dude. Only thing i was left wondering about is the speed of the ram you got. zen5 loves the fast ram.. but the x3d chips seem to show less preference for that speed.
Dude that looks exactly like my pc!
(Only difference being that your parts are more powerful lol)
I just built my pc just yesterday lol
good video
Cheers!
great video! jus some observations:
the usb-c cable does not plug in both ways, and you plugged the reset switch wrong (should be 1 pin over to the left)
i also did my first build recently and it really helps to make sure you read the manual in full and to fully understand whats its saying before pluging stuff in, also make extra sure all cables are fully seated, specially power cables
whenever i get the parts to build my next pc, i am *praying* everything will go good lol
good video bog. i unlocked +20% more CPU performance after subscribing
Ayee enjoy your extra performance!
i built my first pc in february of this year with the same case, recently swapped to a h6 flow and it made a huge difference, i loved the 4000d airflow but the glass panel was way too tinted for my liking
I expected this video to have funny "oh haha I'm so stupid" moments only for it to SURPRISINGLY have a GENUINELY GOOD and UNDERSTANDABLE guide on how to build a computer.
I just built mine for the first time 3 days ago and it went without a hitch
anyways, good video. liked and subbed.

@@Blacke. lmao I just saw it as well
hey man love your vid , i have and rx7800xt too the gygabyte wind force oc model here is a suggestion for the coil whine i had the exact same problem , what i did is connect a second pci e cable to my power supply (i got a modular too) then connected to my gpu so instead of using one single pci e cable with a split to power the gpu, is using two independent cables in my case the coil whine reduced a lot you should give it a try , apparently is something about frequencies being cleaner or less jumpy .
Very nice, I don't know how I watched the full video without skipping 😂👌
Just got my first prebuilt and so far so good. $1500 is outside my budget but i do like the clean look, maybe i can swap my cpu and gpu into this case.
I literally used 60hz all the time, thank you for this video.
W CPU cooler. One of the best ones out there.
Yeah people really underestimate the power of the peerless assassin, it can cool nearly anything lol
for coil noise you could use undervolting for your gpu it fixed the problem for me and you should enable one more setting in the bios it's called resizeable bar or smart access memory (sam)
Great video!
About that coil whine - you can sometimes get rid of it by using a second PCIE power cable for your GPU. I see you are using a single power cable in your video which technically will work, but is not optimal.
And regarding those front panel connectors, your Asus board should have come with a Q-Connector (en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Q-connector.jpg). This allows you to connect those wires to the Q-Connector first and then connect that Q-Connector to the motherboard for less hassle.
Hope that helps and congrats on your first PC build!
Cheers! Thanks for the tips!
2:21 While you should be aware of the risks of static electricity, modern components are way more resilient.
4:42 If for some reason you don't have the standoff that goes there, the NVME will work installed like that, but it's not recommended.
6:10 That's generally true but usually there's an arrow somewhere in the fan body which indicates the way the air flow goes.
6:25 That depends on case. In some snall form factor cases, you can't have positive or neutral pressure because there's not enough places for air to be taken inside the case.
7:04 The splitter is in there because you may not have a fan header close enough to the CPU to plug in another fan. Some lower end motherboards might have a single cpu header.
8:48 The difference between a 3 pin fan and a 4 pin one is you can control the speed of the fan on the 4 pin version. Nothing to do with power.
10:32 While harder to see, some of those connectors will either have an indication which wire is the positive in the form of a "+" or a small arrow. Which way the text faces is irrelevant.
Love the build, though I'd recommend using two seperate PCIe cables for the graphics card, instead of the splitter.
It's not 100% necessary, but it is safer :)
