Super surprising this channel isnt much much bigger. Well done videos with great research and production. Thank you for the vid! I've been interested in keychrons lemokey line
Yes, it's refreshing; not at all fatiguing to listen to like some of the more popular content creators. The wording and presentation are done in a natural way; concise, high density of info, no cringe bloat, mature but not too bland or boring. I'm anticipating a slow but steady increase in subs in the coming months.
Great review! I think any 'gaming' focused keyboard released these days should also have at minimum an HE switch setup for lightning fast gameplay - like their Keychron Q1 HE. In fact, I find that my Q1 HE is much more of a gaming focused keyboard than any of their Lemokey offerings. I share your confusion as to who exactly these Lemokey boards are made for!
One thing I don't always see mentioned about Keychron keyboards is that they're fully compatible with VIA. Being QMK-firmware based, you won't run into weird issues like you might have with other Chinese keyboards that don't use a QMK firmware and just implement a VIA compatibility layer on top of their own firmware. (yes, this should be the Lemokey P3, that naming is ridiculous and totally confusing)
I would guess the Q3 Max is more bouncy as well! Don't get me wrong, I have multiple Keychron boards and did KS for the P1 but to me the Evo80 is hands down the best prebuilt ever made! I did put Baby Ks in mine but the Azure were buttery smooth, just a little too light for me. Fantastic review as always, I feel like you get the most useful information is the best use of time of any channel on UA-cam. Keep up the fantastic work!
You're not the only one who cares about consistency. Even when they are consistent, it takes a lot of research to understand all the difference between, for example, the Q, Q Prod and Q Max series. I's frustrating too, because you might prefer the color scheme available on the Pro series, but you absolutely want a 2.4Ghz that only comes with the Max series.
This is so weird. I knew this keyboard was coming and I was waiting for it. I really liked the P1 because if you look at Keychain latency on their recent boards they are the best out there in the “custom” keyboard category. Now I’m not obsessed with latency but as a gamer that doesn’t like HE keyboards yet I wanted a fast keyboard that wasn’t a mainstream one from a mainstream keyboard brand. I also like like how their the P1 is a lot nice than the Q1 in terms of looks, looks more polish, its thinner, and the borders are thinner too. I just wanted a TKL version of it. And this is exactly what it is. This should have been released as the P2 and should have been $120-$130. They named it part of their L line instead to price it at $200+. This sucks. They saw all reviewers saying “why is the P1 so cheap compared to the Q1” and said hmm okay then we won’t do the same thing with the P2, in fact we won’t call it the P2, it’ll be the L4 which makes no sense and price it at $200+” Ughh
Did you buy this? I can't decide if to get the P1 pro or this L4... While I can afford both, not sure if it makes sense paying almost $100 more for the L4 for nothing
I agree with the north-facing recommendation but keycaps with side-printed shine through legends are really not hard to find. They are all over amazon.
@@sdV7099 On the contrary, many people prefer them so that the colorway is more prominent. I don't tend to like them, but it is odd for you to try to portray them as generally disliked.
Love your channel! Do you happen to know if this is similar to Q3 Max? I really dislike the knob that the Q3 max has, so I'm tempted to purchase the Q3 (although it doesn't have wireless or bluetooth, I don't really mind this tbh, idk if those are a game changer?). This looks very similar to the Q3 layout given there's no knob. Trying to find the best bang for my buck in the $200-$300 range TKL no knob or extra features keyboards.
The Q3 will have a slightly bouncier feel because of the foam gasket mount (it has a steel plate), while the L4 has an aluminum plate and silicone gasket mount so it's a little bit firmer feel. I personally think the L4 sounded much better out of the box than my Q5 did which has the same construction as the Q3.
I'm becoming a firm believer that non metallic keyboards sound the best. My new Nuphy Halo75 sounds amazing compared to my expensive Keychon Q5 Max. There is no comparison.
@@Mintor94 Just that if it happens to be north facing I can't use half of the keycap sets I own on that board because they're gonna sound awful. When I got the mod 007 I specifically had to buy a new south facing PCB because the interference was that bad
I personally do not consider review valid and legit and reliable if the product has been send by the producer. These people are selling themselves for the price of the product except some rare individuals.
You should have more subs. Your reviews are the best. Straight to the point, no frills, and all the info we need.

Definitely should be bigger.

I love how you mentioned the different it serves in the L line i wish you went more deeper into details about that cos honestly its really confusing

Nice vid mate
Hope they plan to sell the keycaps separately those look really good

Keyboard looks ugly with them, which is a consensual conclusion.

I like this type of keyboard. It seems there's less of them though.

Finally someone who recognises the fact that south facing leds can be a serious con for somebody
I wish more companies made pcbs without any leds. I disable them on every keyboard I have :P

This is a pass.
Keychron are sh!t quality. Horrendous power management as well.
This keyboard has nothing special 🫣
It doesnt have to have any. Keychron has always been the "solid, good enough, safe choice" kinda brand.
Not everything has to cater sweaty enthusiasts.
