Man, i have to say that to ride, shoot straight and speak the truth is my favorite Entombed album. Such a great album that flows so well, and showcases their ability to evolve into their own unique sound. Still insanely heavy too.

@@TheTransylvanian That's true. Doom, Brutal Death, and War Metal certainly all have their own styles of what is considered real Heavy. Mortician is like the SOD of Death Metal. Mortician has some of the lowest frequencies, but they are sort of a fun type band, and by the time a song gets going it's over. There's more to creating a Heavy song than just being as low pitch as possible, it's got to make people nervous. There has to be chaos, harshness, and a scary element. Black Sabbath is considered to have invented Heavy Metal music because of the uneasy feeling their self titled song brought to people. I have challenged the idea of Black Sabbath actually being entirely responsible, personally I don't think Black Sabbath were even Proto Metal until Sabbath Bloody Sabbath. I don't believe that Heavy Metal existed prior to Judas Priest - Sad Wings of Destiny. There is Hard, and there is Heavy. Both have to co exist within the same song to reach the zenith of musical intensity. The best way to accurately judge what is the Heaviest is by asking people who have not been exposed to much Metal, because if someone is used to listening to Metal they become amune to it

I just heard Kitties new songs eyes wide open and we are shadows it’s honestly not bad at all.
Eyes Wide Open' is a lesson in trust, betrayal, and ultimately the ability to see behind the curtain to reveal all. It was one of the first songs they wrote, coming together again after a long time away from creating, and I think you can. The Canadian outfit hasn't released new music since their most recent album I've Failed You came out in 2011, but "Eyes Wide Open" is proof that they haven't lost their penchant for crafting heavy tracks.

I like Wolverine Blues better than Clandestine. The Vocals that Nicke provided (although the frontman of Disincarnate was falsely credited as the lead Vocals) are very distracting. LG Petrov provided the Voice. Other than the fact Petrov appeared, Wolverine Blues still sucks. Clandestine is even worse however, and both albums are more in the Nu Metal - Post Grunge - Groove Metal style. Entombed had only one Death Metal album Left Hand Path

I know that some black metal people listen to Kiss but making a correlation between LesPaul's and Kiss is pretty far fetched. Every rock/metal band had pro guitarists using them at those days. Iron Maiden, Randy Rhoads, Motörhead...
And why many people used them? Because it was one of them most easily acquirable guitar models on those days. You could not walk into to some local music shop in Norway and get some wild and pointy B.C.Rich for metal looks at 80's. All these metal axes became more popular and acquirable in 90's
