Been playing guitar for 25 years, just stick with it and make it a priority. 30 minutes per day or more.

If you're working and have a family to take care of you probably have 10% or less of your time to do things for yourself. If guitar makes you happy that would be a good use of your free time. I probably won't ever be in a band again but I still play several hours a week because I truly enjoy it.
