As Promised I did a comparison video breaking down the key features between the JB+, Stage 1, and the JB4. I know that sometimes it can be hard to decide which tune to get for your car, especially if you car a new user and need a little help going in the right direction. I'm hoping THIS VIDEO helps make that decision a bit easier for you! :)
There's really a simple process to deciding which tune to get after hearing the break down in this video. You need to consider 2 things:
- Lets say you are keeping your car stock and are looking for noticeable power and very simple install/uninstall processes, then the JB+ or stage 1 would be your best bet.
- If you are looking for the smoothest power delivery, engine failsafes and all the feautures mentioned in this video, pick the JB4.

I was looking to further mod my m240i with a Garret turbo further down the line. Is there much work I would have to do with the jb4 or would this automatically pick up the mod and adjust the map accordingly?
Was thinking about the jb+, but not sure how it will affect the car in everyday driving in comfort mode. Don't need any notchy gear changes. (bmw zf8).

I just ordered the jb4 for my 2013 bmw 328i and also got a cold air intake this is the first mods will these pair well?

Can you run map 2 on 93octane, upgraded intercooler, charge pipe, boost pipe, turbo inlet, axle back Exhuast but no catless down pipe?
its not recommended to run map 2 without a catless downpipe or a high flow catted downpipe
Should I just get the wired connection or the Bluetooth? Is there a difference between the two of them, besides one being wirelessly connected to your phone. What does the wired connection allow you to do? Can you still connect it to your phone just with a cable? Thanks

@Tavo Esco @curtis Chapman we recommend the Bluetooth connection. With Bluetooth control, you will be able to change maps, settings, read and delete codes using your phone. With the wired connection, you will need to physically connect it every time and then disconnect it when you are done using it. Connection the wired cable requires that you disassemble the Jb4 box
I have a 2019 q50 luxe awd im not trying to fully modify my car but i do want some good power gains so would the stage 1 be a good choice, and also how much power would i achieve once i install this stage 1 on my stock engine and btw i have a true dual exhaust system with drop in performance filters.
yes the stage 1 is an excellent option, you get 30-45 whp more on a fully stock car

We definitely recommend it. You will need it eventually to update the map, datalog, read/delete code, change settings,etc...

Is there an option to turn the jb4 off but keep it plugged in
Yes you can switch to map 0 to turn the JB4 off completely. Or you can select map 4 to turn the tuning off but still use other settings like datalogging
I bought a 2015 bmw 335i xdrive few weeks ago put on a cold air intake was looking at tuners what should I get ? I plan on adding a catless down pipe charge pipe and boost to ?

@@rvlogs7156 Jb4 for sure, its a complete tune built to work on stock and modified cars. The stage is meant for stock cars only.

Hi yes you can use both tunes together. Make sure to decrease the boost on the Jb+ since your car is already tuned

Yes it will!
They do not have a jb4 option for R56-S. I emailed burger tuning and they said they will only make the jb+ for the R56-S because there’s not a high enough request or demand for the jb4
Hi guys there is something odd at this video...they are all piggybacks, WHEN you guys say ..STAGE 1 is how is called the first remap pack over stock.....
The stage is map 1 on the tune, that's for a fully stock car.

its depends. if your car has twin turbo its big difference! of course not that small box :D

A tuning box (and they are all basically the same), is a waste of money, that just tricks a few sensor readings in your ecu.
For the same amount of money, you can get a custom dyno tuned map done, which will give you more performance, and yet still be a lot safer as all parameters will me monitored for safety such as timing, fuelling, intake temps, etc.
A junk box does not care if your engine is pre detonating, or running lean, and both of those can be very bad, and even blow holes in your piston.
The ONLY reason to fit one, is because the car is still under warranty, and you can remove it if the car has to go back to the dealership for a recall. But, who would fit a useless, dangerous, tuning box to a brand new car ?

@@onderyetiskin Apologies, maybe English is not your first language, and that comment didn't really make any sense in English.
Plug-in tuning boxes are all very much the same, no matter which company makes them. All they do is give false readings to the ecu, so that the eco over-fuels the engine, gives more boost, pushes the timing, etc..... but, without looking at every parameter of what that is doing to the engine, there is no safety precautions, and it can be dangerous. At the same time, the junk box is not even giving you close to the same performance gain that a custom map will give.
And yet, a junk box costs the same money as a custom map !
Why would anyone get a junk box ?
Just take your car to a tuner, and get it remapped for more power, everything safely monitored and adjusted, and you don't even pay any more money, it's the same price as a junk box.
I stand by every word, only stupid people fit junk boxes.

because yes i need my warranty and I know my car has potential at least 360-380 HP (now 275 hp stock) how i know already there is a mini cooper GT and dyno show 310-320 hp. they are same engine, turbo, piston. so I dont wanna buy 240-440i M because 15K more expensive. but that junk box still keep my warranty. anyway i didn't decided yet what I'm gonna do it. I called local BMW and i asked official tune they said not yet. if local tuner give me warranty definitely i can go with that!
