Thank you for this. You actually just saved me a trip. I had suspicions of a 1st edition Charizard I was about to go see, but this video confirmed it. The seller had the bottom middle card. I think I would have recognized it in person, cause I have a shadowless Charizard to compare it to, but your analysis was spot on. The hollow pattern did not change in all the pictures, and the stars are in the same spots as yours. Another thing I realized that might be helpful is that in my case the cut patterns on the back did not match the front, which makes sense if the proxy was pasted onto another card. The back border was off center a bit, while the front was more centered.

I make proxies but I change Wizard to Proxy and don’t sell. It’s a proxy after all, my prints are 600 dpi and were recreated using Photoshop.
Just bought that bottom middle fake on ebay for 25 bucks. Worth the fun I guess, but it was advertised as "1st edition charizard sticker". Guess that was the out for them

Just curious how do they put the holo on the card? I imagine it would be hard to perfectly put around the charizard?
Hi, it depends on the fake, as they’re all done in different ways. One way I believe is they strip a genuine lower value card, so it’s just the holo and then print the fake card over that.

Hi mate, if you mean when all 6 cards are laid on the table, then the top left is genuine.
That’s Base Set Unlimited, which is why it has the shadow.
As for price it really depends on condition and can range from $200US to $1000US+ 👍

Hi there, I don’t think so. It would most likely be a 25th anniversary celebrations reprint. There could also be fakes made of those. I haven’t seen them, but it’s possible. Not as likely, as they aren’t as valuable as a first edition. But I’ve seen XY Evolution fakes, so no doubt there’d be Celebration fakes out there somewhere too. Hope this helps! 🔥😁
i got a fake charizard for 1 cent and its exactly the same on the bottom right.
pretty satisfied with that deal.
If you get it that cheap, why not! ☺️ It’s interesting to own one and helps you spot other fakes when shopping for the real thing 👍

My 8 year old just traded his entire set for what he thought was the 'god' card... not sure what one he ended up with but it doesn't have the 1st edition stamp...

it could possibly be from the evolutions set. The evolutions set is just a remake of the old cards and they arent fake.

I have a very well made fake coming soon which I’ll also be doing a video on. I have a feeling some of these fakes use the XY holos and print the fake design on top of that, but that’s just a guess.

Hi, I don’t have a link for those sorry. I found them on ebay and they come up quite randomly. It’s just a matter of finding a seller on ebay that’s upfront about it being fake and pricing it accordingly. The best way would be to type ‘fake’ or ‘proxy’ 1st edition Charizard in the search 👍

There’s 3 different cards when it comes to the genuine ones. The PSA cased card is a genuine 1st edition and I explained what the other two are and why I have them in the video 👍
