That was a BIG deal in the 1999......owning A charizard but a 1st edition, shadowless, I remember these older guys (I was like 11 at the time) hunting for these things so hard man...they would trade ANYTHING for 1st edition stuff. I was clueless.

And even if they where stolen, PSA and BGS cards have serial numbers for tracking so if someone stole them they would need to crack the cases to avoid the card from being traced but the slab is what gives the card credibility and most of its value so you would be losing most of you're value in the process. In the end, totally not worth stealing.

I sold my Pokemon cards (kind of regret it ) for money even though I didn't have anything crazy stupid rare or expensive but man if it's going to the right place (my cards were going to like a 10 or 11 year old kid) I just knew how excited they would be getting that collection (for their birthday). :P Hope my collection is still around and that kid is cherishing every moment of it! :D !
