wonderful learning all about your mum's adventures when she was young. We forget , when people get old, that they had lived interesting lives. Our society seems to have lost the culture of listening to the elders. Which is a pity, because they have so much to teach us. I've just spent a really pleasurable 20 minutes listening to you and your mum, and feel all the happier for having done that. So thank you.
💞 such a lovely storytelling video about two women, mother & daughter, different experiences with similar willpower & spirit💞 on a trip together to make memories
Your mum is just wonderful. And I admire her deeply. She was fortune to stay fit and healthy but also did something to get where she is today. And she raiced a wonderful woman. ❤
Hey Rosie, dat was a lot my language I heard !! I moved from Holland to California over 40 years ago. My Canadian husband came to pick me up from Amsterdam to LA where he lived. We retired to Monterey eventually where he passed some 20 years ago. I am 88 now and housebound. I have subscribed to your channel for years and enjoy it very much. I admire your can do attitude and your many talents. Thank you for posting ! Love from Monterey ❤❤
Big hug!
Thank you for sharing with us the beauty .. your words .. your dear mother. I see where your formidable nature comes from. I cried while I watched her dance. Thank you both.
I like every one of your videos. I love your authenticity. I love how real you are with your feelings with no exaggeration or modesty - enabling them to pass over you with no resistance but rather with acceptance. video editing of the outdoors is unbelievable. And I especially love this video. A dedication to a wonderful mum from the daughter for all she is- adventurous, courageous and determined- providing all the strength you need to stand strong all alone in the wilderness. Hugs and thank you.
I would never have guessed your Mom is 76. How wonderful that she can hike, cycle, help you build the garden. Indomitable spirit: you both have it. Sweden is beautiful. Thank you both for the effort that went into the trip & the video.
Cherish your mama. We don’t realize how quickly our mom’s age, how time passes by so fast. Their stories and voices gone to history, their quirks that may have annoyed us are the things we miss the most. Write down her recipes and her stories. Enjoy your mom.
Loved listening to your mom tell her story in Dutch. It brings me back to when I was young. Next year she will bring her own bike from home and you are going to go on a true adventure.
What a great trip. Your mom is in great shape for her age. Unfortunate that she didn’t have her own bike. I loved the sound of gravel under the bike tires. Your choice of music is so relaxing that I hardly noticed it.
I'm smiling at the non chalant title of this post. Your parents are "badass" cyclists in a very good way. Something to be proud of. Wow!! too cool. I took my mum on a "bike ride." haha She's awesome. I remember when she helped you wrap your underground water pipes to protect from freezing. 💖❤ Good genes here. Go after what you want. Live a full life.
Rosie, thank you for sharing this remarkable story, of you and your mum sharing these tender and enriching moments together. My husband and I cherish your videos, and appreciate the time and compassion you spend editing, and sharing your stories with us. Your calming, as well as productive lifestyle is truly amazing, and we truly look forward to each and every video you share. We sometimes even watch them twice. :) Jill and Gary
This felt like a love letter to your mother and made me tear up. I’m on holidays with my family right now and I appreciated the reminder to enjoy every minute. It was a great video!
These vlogs are so beautifully put together with the different camera styles blending seamlessly, and the music perfectly complementing the different segments. The vlogs were always well made, but they're now on a different level. Your mum is a fantastic character!
My goodness 76 Rosie your Mum looks like she is not a day over 50 I look like a prune compared to her and there is no way I walk the distance she walked or road her bike May God Bless this woman and may she live to be 150 yrs old and God Bless you Miss Rosie wow what a fantastic journey you took us on thank you for sharing this with me love and happiness for allowing us to be involved in your life!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Hej Rosie! Machtig mooi daar! ❤
We do take on some of our parents traits. Fortunately, for us, you brought to life your mother’s sense for adventure and indomitable spirit. The pair of you are exceptional women. ❤
Rosie, thank you for another great post, your mum is right Sweden is indeed beautiful. I am 78 and my mum is no longer with use but you still have yours and it’s great seeing you are both making memories by spending quality time together. Thank you both for shearing. Tot ziens ❤
I am the same age as your mother, and you are so fortunate to have this special time with her. Elizabeth is so capable and full of energy, that probably comes from the fact she is keeping busy. I love that you said you had a great trip and your mom said it was awful.
Thing is with "different" nature and wild nature in Götaland is that it's a bit harder to feel alone there. Hiking routes with "wilder nature" and different scenic paths are very popular and not very wild feeling. I can warmly recommend the granit cliffs in Bohuslän for walking but you won't be alone in late spring to september. The birch forests is an different forest all together as is the Oak forest on Visingsö. If one wants no forest in the southof Sweden then Allvaret on Öland, the rockformations on Gotland and the cliffs of the west coast is the closest. You have mountain not to far north in Värmland and Dalarna. Our two mountains in Västra Götaland are covered in forest.
Thank you for sharing your Mum, Rosie. We can see that you're definitely your mother's daughter, indomitable and adventurous and fearless. And if I may say, beautiful too. I hope she gets to ride to the North Cape one more time. I'm 79 and gave up cycling quite a few years ago. Brava! Blessings to you both. 💞🤗
I loved this video, it choked me up when your mom was commenting about your state. As she trailed you on the road it was if I could see you at her present age. What a memory. Thank you for such a beautiful harmony of your time with your mom.
Initially, I was sad that this new video would not be about what you’re up to with your home building/summer gardening. But, sadness was short lived as I am a big fan of mothers & daughters (being one & having some 😉). I think we already knew what a treasure your mum is from seeing her in other videos. I always love your comments filled with honesty & subtle humor & am in awe of your videography skills (& the time that takes to get such excellent results). Many of us must be envying what a wonderful adventure to have & keep alive in your heart …spent with the person who gave you life. Thank you for sharing this special time with all of us. I am a devoted subscriber from Vermont, USA 🇺🇸
An overlap might help keep the bike bags from filling with water. Or have the gather longer so it can fold over and protect the opening. Your talent is amazing.
Love seeing you and your mother enjoying new sights in Sweden. Gorgeous videography. You certainly have your mother’s adventurous spirit and natural beauty, Rosie!
I am at awe with your life. You’re so opposite of me. You are adventurous and very brave. Sweden looks absolutely majestic. Your mom is amazing. Love watching your adventures.🌻💕
Great video Rosie. Your Mom is amazing. You inherited her stamina and sense of adventure. Beautiful scenery. Thanks for sharing this special bike trip with your Mom. 🥰
I never noticed before how much you look and sound like your mom! I love the day before bike bag. You always surprise me with what you’re capable of. Side note: Thank you for the Skillshare recommendation and trial code. I absolutely love it and got the annual subscription.
It was lovely to learn more about Elizabeth and all the bike touring she did in the past. She needs a gravel bike, too, for next time. More bike adventures! More Elizabeth! The handle bar bag you made looked pretty awesome, also. Love how you just whipped it up the night before like it was nothing 😄
Nice learning a bit about your mom! You resemble her! Wonderful that she is in such great physical shape for her age. So nice that you were able to spend this time together. I enjoyed this video.
Wow I thought the images were of you, but it was your mum 😮. Thank you so much for sharing & allowing us to be part of this tour with mum, who is a very fit lady 😳. Your mum has had quite a life , you seem to be following in her footsteps 🙏🏻🔥❤️🇬🇧xxx

What a lovely peek into your bicycle tour with your mom. The nature there looks very similar to where I live in rural Ontario, Canada. You and your mom are very alike - in looks and nature, I think. Determined. Capable. I love the handlebar bag you made for your bike. You are so independent and able to do anything you set your mind to!
My goodness your mom is incredible for 76-year-old to do everything that she does
