I've watched this channel nearly everyday since the war started and, to be honest, it helps me to remember that there are decent people everywhere and it helps to keep me from despising the Russian people as a block. That youtube and google will permit their unsupervised algorithms to crush a guy like this is a clear indicator of either their arrogance or irresponsibility to simple decency. What a crappy, selfish, and mean spirited world youtube is helping to build.

Not to take away any of the hard work, but the amount of money poured in equipment, tools etc. without them working means you have a great amount of “motivation” in the bank. Also not needing to sell the “caravan” backs this up.

You are rare people in this world to do so much work for your dreams. I salute both of you for a fantastic rendering of your story. Best of life and good wishes for the future.
Wow, it hasn't been that long and I find it hard to believe just how much you've achieved already. It's staggering. I know exactly how though, seeing Philip tackling so many tasks over the last year has been eye opening on just how much you can get done if you keep at it. I can only imagine what it's going to look like in another year. Thank you for sharing your journey guys, it's inspirational.❤
It always helps to have a young, strong, energetic and wise man around who knows how to do things and put things together who is calm and is always looking out for the good for his family in projects such as these!!! Amen! I too rang the bell!!
Yes, but your 20s and 30s are also a time when people have limitless energy that can be used to acquire savings and investments that will be needed in decades to come. Instead that time and energy is being invested in something that may have a poor return over decades. You don't want to be impoverished in your old age.
Finding that tractor in the brambles after living there and clearing up for so long already, just gives us a little taste of how much you have to clear. I was stunned that it was so well hidden.👍
Philippe. My brother’s name was Philippe..I’m French by birth but now living in the States. In the 60’s, Papa , Philippe and I renovated,a 300,year old, house. Maman cooked and did laundry. We had a system going. The walls of the house were 3 feet deep. We rebuilt the chimney. We dug the trenches for the plumbing. We installed electricity. We installed the kitchen and the bathroom. We installed the mazout stove. The roof was good, so were the walls. We brought in water and electricity. I was 16 years old. I griped a lot but I learned a ton. And so we lived in one room which accommodated 3 beds, the dining room table/office, and the stove. We added a kitchen and a bathroom. We did not have snouts money for a tv. My parents lived there for over 50 years. I got married and left after 4 years. What I learned was invaluable: cement, carpentry, electricity and plumbing. Those became a life saver so many times in my life. Philippe died in 2018 of cancer in Paris. Our parents died in 2014 and 2015. I’m now very old but I remember the feelings of safety and love listening to my dad and brother snore softly in that one room. I applaud you for being willing to restore such a home. You will never regret it.
Have great respect for Philippe’s hard work and perseverance in solving problems and improving the land and infrastructure. And my appreciation to Anicia in coming up with the one year review video. She must have spent hours and hours on it. I am looking forward to your future plans and videos. 😊

I'm watching you now it's September 2024 so I haven't come to the end of the video yet to see what's happened before you sign off. Looking forward to the rest of it 😊❤❤

What a pleasure to watch and listen to. I NEVER watch more than 5 minutes of a video. Your video was so well done, I enjoyed watching unlimited.
Thank you Joel, that is great to hear!
I admire you and your wife who stood beside you from the beginning and the hard work that you have done so far I am happy for you both and I wish you both a happy life.
She's not his wife, they aren't married. She said at the start of the video that he's her partner.
God bless this family, it's an incredible amount of work.
Thank you Michael!
that was one of the best re-caps I've seen - hard to believe you are not a professional editor, really enjoyable. Thanks
Anicia learned by doing and she has gotten very far already, sometimes too perfectionist 😂
In the plastic days your people going to clean and clear all those the things and your attention and attempt really hatsoff
As much as we can, we are not perfect but i do refuse to live on a garbage dump 😉

Best hour and a quarter I have spent on UA-cam this year. Impressive job and now I will follow your progress.
Removing the concrete on the house changed the whole facade of the house! Beautiful
I watched the entire video and I congratulate you both for such diligent effort in reclaiming your farm. It is a labor of a lifetime goal. You are rare people in this world to do so much work for your dreams. I salute both of you for a fantastic rendering of your story. Best of life and good wishes for the future.
Hey ! Votre vie est mieux qu’une série Netflix ! 😊
Merci!!
Hey Neuton! Time flies indeed, Odin is already so big compared to when we arrived. Thank you for watching and supporting!
@@SeattlePioneer Not everyone has your values. Thank goodness!
It's surprising that, One Philippe can do lot of things. Hats off. Good family . By the way, you wife is the best supporter to create beautiful house.
Finding that tractor in the brambles after living there and clearing up for so long already, just gives us a little taste of how much you have to clear. I was stunned that it was so well hidden.👍
Oh yes it is a very big place, it is not easy to capture it on camera, i am glad you notice it though!
Wow up to now this has been the small renovation. Cannot wait for the big renovation!
Does this include the red tractor?
Thank you Stevens, Hopefully our children will look back at this time as you look back! Thank you for sharing this story!

@@pattyfarghaly1821 This was a very sad story at the end.
Bless you old man, and bring tou comfort ❤
@LMStevens your so lucky to have experienced that your parents were very innovative people. This is what makes the world go round.
Have great respect for Philippe’s hard work and perseverance in solving problems and improving the land and infrastructure. And my appreciation to Anicia in coming up with the one year review video. She must have spent hours and hours on it. I am looking forward to your future plans and videos. 😊
Thx Wai San, she put a lot of work in it. About two weeks i think 😯
I love old house restorations, but a house in France? I am here for it, I had to subscribe. The stone facade on the house is STUNNING.
Fantastique !!
