I call you young lady because you are young. I'm 73 years old. I am renovating a house that is 120 years old. I am doing all the work myself, like you. I think you are an amazing young woman and very inspiring.
Also, like you, I am not a social person. I never get lonesome.
I have been called a hermit and a loner and a free spirit. I just feel like me.
You inspire me because you live your life for yourself.
Keep doing whatever you want to do.
I also understand you not wanting a patreon account. I don't want anyone paying my way. I don't give anyone the right to feel like they are entitled to have a say in my life!
I enjoy your channel and you have taught me several things. Thank you for that.
I live in Texas, USA. I know our situations are quite different, but I feel a kinship with you.

Yes, age is relative. I am 68 and am remodeling my eighth house with my husband, things just take me longer than my first house. I think of Rosie as young and an eighty year old lady in my crochet group calls me young.

Yes, I also am not a social being, prefer my alone time without interference from someone else telling me how I should be, what I should do. I am 65 and recently purchased the old, falling down, much needing love and care home I've been renting for the past 9yrs...Little by little I will renew what has been ignored for decades. It's gets harder as you get older, you're not as strong or as fast but at the same time it gives you confirmation that you can do anything you put your mind to and age is just a number.

Once one realises that we only have one life & if people don’t like who we are or what we have. It’s there problem not yours. I think it’s called having inner peace and knowing you’re content with yourself.

This channel deserves so many more subscribers it is way better than many other pretenders to the Off Grid UA-cam Vlogs.I wholeheartedly appreciate her integrity regarding Patreon/Amazon etc. Then there is her wonderfully dry and well delivered sense of humour. All this recognised by a 67 year old who apparently isn'tconsidered old according to Google unitill I am 76!!!!

As hard as you work, if you do make a new shower facility, I think you should make part of the construction a sauna. The luxury of having a sauna after a long days work mid-winter. Firing up the sauna to soak up the heat before you shower, then step into the residually warm dressing area you have designed, it would be warm from the adjacent saunas heat. Those first few winters had to be so cold, I imagine sliding into bed still warmed from the sauna would cut that shiver time down waiting for your own body to heat the cold bedding.

I have suspected for a while that you are a braver version of me, and I am now fully convinced of it. Rosie, the fact that you mentioned the Enneagram tells me a lot more about you, which I can so easily relate to. Most of the questions from viewers seem more about their projections. Huge respect from a fellow 👽 living a very similar forest lifestyle…and loving it!

Haha honestly the "I'm not an alien" segment is the best. I sympathize so much. For what it's worth I absolutely love the fact that you don't have a car and just make it work. You're my inspiration whenever I feel overwhelmed with a project or task. If Rosie can build herself cute things in the Swedish forest... Then so can I!

Happy new year Rosie 🎉 A lot of questions... I guess people are curious. I'd just like to say that what you achieve, all be it within your stated limitations, inspires many. An independent woman. You are indeed a lady but a strong and resourceful one. If you fitted any standard mould you wouldn't be the amazing person you are. Stay you. Blessings for a super 2024. 🙏

Looking forward to the upcoming year of your videos! In regard to people making suggestions I truly believe for the most part that people are good and just want to be helpful (of course some may think their opinion is the best and be conceited about it) but when viewers watch their favourite UA-cam creators we in a sense invite those creators into our own homes so in a way it's easy to get invested or actually feel concern or feelings of friendship for creators we continually bring into our 'home'.

Great drone demo, thanks. I can relate to what you are doing, somewhat. I have been renovating my house that was damaged in a fire over 10 years age, since I didn't have enough fire insurance, I've been paying as I go. I made a small apartment in the garage so I guess, I've been renovating 2 places. For me learning as I go is normal, my friends think it's "amazing", for me I'm just doing what anyone in my position would do, and I'm enjoying the process.

As for Google on the topic of age, this is one time that I would ignore what it says. I am 76 so I would be defined as old but you are definitely not. I feel bad that you get so many silly and personal questions that people really should not even ask. I just watch your videos for the pure enjoyment of how you live and what you chose to do. I would never think of telling you what you need to or what you need to buy or own. I am also an introvert and don’t need to be around people that much. When I do need to do that, I only want a small number of people, no crowds. To each his own!! Life is too short to focus on what other people think. There are too many people out there without one ounce of common sense. I hope that you will continue to do you Rosie! I love watching your videos no matter what you are doing or not doing! Hugs……………………..

Ok I must have missed the fact that you are a professional designer watching on and off for a year. I was pretty amazed as an Architect that your eye for design elements and design structure was more than just luck. I have to say the place looks awesome. Your design is limited to your carpentry skills now but your thought process around cabinet design and layout is awesome. I am really enjoying this series. Cheers from Boston. This was so entertaining I laughed so much. However, the idea of the car is freedom to explore new places, quicky without much thought on a whim, with no plan. Totally spontaneously. I think you would enjoy that even as an introvert. A little old 60s or 70s mini copper?

I heard you say you were going to get the fans! I personally think you are an absolutely amazing “young” woman! Your skills and talents are just so impressive and your confidence is beyond belief!
I am a 79 year old old lady! I love watching your show! When I was young because of the environment that I was brought in and my parents did it because they love me, but I had some issues so I actually had to listen to a subliminal tape on self-confidence in order to become self-confident. But it worked so I set out on a path in my late 20s to use that confidence to become the woman I wanted to be. I am an introvert who loves being alone. I can work on things I love and don’t care what others think. I love watching you tackle new projects and I love you sharing your thought process with us. You are a wonderful example of what we can all accomplish if we set our minds to it.
For those asking you how to change their lives one of the techniques I used frequently when I was younger was at night as I was falling asleep I visualize and felt the feeling of what it would be like living the life I wanted to live. What an adventure that was. Miraculous events occurred that opened doors for the next step and it seemed easy to move in that direction. All came about quickly and I moved to the next life I had envisioned. I have had a wonderful adventure in my life and I love watching your adventure unfold!

Good morning Rosie. This was a great video and IMHO, it is the long distance thru-hiking you have done that gave you your warm understanding of just who you are - to yourself. That is an important baseline for growing one's self-awareness that a ton of people never even think about. Your hikes challenged you, you accepted that, and then applied the lessons to your goals re your life-style desires. That is admirable. Take good care. Ta

The last decade, fortunately, the world has focused more on the fact that we are all different. For many years I have struggled with questions from my family about why I am not married and do not want children. Fortunately, it has become more acceptable to be yourself.
Do the things that make you happy and ignore people who want you to do things their way. ❤ (stay cute) 😊

What I like best about these videos is that you never know what she is going to say, "like I studied Elfism when I was younger," and it is so entertaining you just think "OK," because you wonder what else is going on in her head. She certainly is individualist, and when she says something it seems like it as entertaining to her as it to others but then she off to the next topic. I have never watched one of her videos without laughing at something she is acknowledging about how she might feel about something. She is a very accomplished individual with loads of creativity and craftsmenship. I mean how many of us would ride a bycicle to a hardwood store and load it u[p with wood for a project and ride it back with such assuerment that, of course, she will make it home with everything in tack, OK!

I am reminded of a compliment I read in a fairytale (when I first learned to read): “You are as wise as you are beautiful!” And YES you definitely would fit in with Elves, I can picture you with pointy ears and lovely red hair. I am certain you would be fine warrior.
And YES, bunnies are great, but your home would be chewed to bits. They make wonderful (cute!) companions. You forgot to mention that it can be expensive to have a pet, especially when they go to the vet.
And YES, there is something lovely about having alone time and doing WHATEVER you want! I enjoy all your camera work with the drone views and the music.
