Great Job!!! Congrats on reviving a great little boat. I have a 1978 Squall that has moved around the country with me since purchasing it new in New Orleans and now residing in Southern California. After 22 years hanging from the ceiling in my garage, I recently took it down, washed and waxed it, bought a small outboard and launched it at Dana Point Harbor. Fortunately, the gelcoat is in great shape and still shows a shine 44 years!!! I did not buy the sailing kit since I initially bought it as the dinghy for a larger sailboat. Today, I regret not buying the sailing kit and would like to find one so my grand kids could learn to sail. Again, congrats, and best wishes for some great fun on you "like new" little yacht!

You really did a pretty good job! I just got a Squall for free, and will do a bit of prep work now, before really working on it next Spring. For anyone else looking to take on this type of job, when there’s crazing like that on the hull just go straight to #30 grit because you do need to get down to glass, then fill, and fair it out if you’re finding voids like those. You can also use the original Gorilla Glue mixed with a bit of water instead of USCG foam, it will expand just as much and is impervious to water, it will be closed cell too and is somewhere between 4 and 6lb, you can glass right over no problem. It’s a lot of work but worth it, love my repaired Sport 130. It looks lit you have the Squall rigged stock, which is super nice! Have fun! 👍🏻

What beautiful work. You really brought the beauty of this Boston whaler back to life. If only I had not continously been throwing out the bags of sanding sheets. Also, how remarkable that with the flotation she almost self bails. She looked smart, and graced through the water. Boston Whaler might like your repair video. Great work. Can't wait to see the girls sailing

I just got ahold of one of these. You did nicer work but after some glassing, ours looks pretty good. Where is the halyard tied off on yours? I can’t seem to find a spot that allows us to be able to tack or jibe without messing with it. It looked like we had something below the mass but I don’t think that would work either. Yours doesn’t have a bracket there. Can you drop your sail without taking it out?
